Virgil walked into the kitchen at 4 am. He never slept so this was normal for him. He started to make coffee and sat on the counter scrolling though his phone while waiting for it to be ready. Just as Virgil started to pour the coffee into a mug when Roman walked down. He was wearing running shorts and a long sleeved red shirt with white sleeves. 

Virgil: Hey. Are you about to go on a run this early. 

Roman: Whatever Count Woaloft 

Virgil frowned. Roman had used nick names more then his real but it had always been a joke, but this time felt different. It felt like Roman was trying to hurt him. He thought Roman was supposed to be his friend but he thought wrong apparently. Why would someone like Roman even want to be friends with him. Virgil shrugged and looked as Roman walked out of their dorms.

Logan walked into the kitchen for breakfast and found Virgil on the table and Patton looking in a cabinet. 

Logan: Salutations. 

Patton: Hey Logan! Want anything for breakfast, I can make something if you'd like?

Logan: No thank you. I will have toast with Crofters this morning. 

Patton: Ooh Crofters, whats that?

Logan: You may have a slice if you would like. 

Logan put two pieces of toast in the toaster and grabbed the jar of Crofters from the cabinet Patton was just searching though. Logan looked at his dorm mates and noticed one was missing. It was already 7:45 and if Roman was not up he would not be ready for class at 8.

Logan: Is Roman up yet.

Patton: Yah I was wondering where he is. Virgil did you see him. You were up when I got here.

Virgil: Yah he went out at like 4 for a run. He seemed really pissy though. I guess we were wrong about him being nice or whatever. 

Logan: What do you mean by that.

Virgil: huh. I don't know. He just kinda looked done with everyone this morning. I mean we've barley known him for 2 days so we barley know him. The nice guy thing could have just been an act.

Patton: I don't know about that kiddo. He might have just woken up on the wrong side of the bed today. Plus it was early and I bet you aren't the most personable at 4 am. But he better get back soon or else he'll be late.

The three boys quickly finished up their breakfast, Patton happy with Logan for giving him Crofters because it was really good. They walked to class without ever seeing Roman. They walked into their Rescue training class and talked while waiting for the rest of class. just as the bell rung they saw Roman quickly walk in and take the last seat in the back on the other side of the room as them. The class went silent when they heard a door close and saw a man wearing a brown cardigan and mint green and cotton candy blue tips to his light brown hair walk to the board.

Cotton candy hair: Hello there! I'm Emile Piccani he/him but please call me Emile. I'm going to be your rescue training teacher this year, I'm also the school counselor. 

Emile went though the role and started on the day's lesson.

Emile: Ok. So as most of you know there are many different types of hero's. There are battle hero's who are the ones that fight villains and get all the fame and glory, I'm sure most of you want to be a battle hero but there are other types of hero's that are just as important. There are sidekicks who support the battle hero's, intel hero's who mostly do reconnaissance, and hero/aid hero's just to name a few. So for today's lesson we'll be learning more about what her/aid hero's do.

Patton excitedly wrote down notes. He wanted to be a rescue hero and needed to know all about it. Logan noticed Patton's excited thought and smiled he was so cute whenever he got excited about things, like a kid on Christmas. What was Logan doing!? He shook his head and tried to get back to work. Why was he getting distracted by a boy. This had never happened to him before. Logan looked at what Emile was writing on the board and tried to busy his mind with notes. It was not as effective as he had hoped it would be.

Patton walked into the cafeteria with Logan to his right. They were both holding a tray with their lunch on it and Patton looked up at his taller friend and smiled. He really liked Logan, he was very logical and kinda awkward with social situations but he could tell he really a big softie underneath. The two sat at a table in the corner. Virgil soon walked up and sat down with them. The 3 talked and ate. Logan often found himself accidentally making dad jokes with Patton. Lunch quickly ended and the tree went their separate way's to class. 

Logan walked into his chemistry class still thinking about the last conversation he had with Patton. He sat down and started to grab his notebook when he saw Roman walk in.

Logan: Hello Roman. I have not seen you today. You were not at Lunch. 

Roman: Whatever nerd. It's not like we're close or whatever.

Logan: That's strange I though we were acquaintances. 

Roman: Leave me alone.

Logan watched as Roman walked to the opposite side of the room and sat down. Logan's thoughts were interrupted by the teacher starting class.

Logan, Patton, and Virgil were all eating dinner in the dorm laughing at Pattons never ending artillery of puns when Roman walked in. The three looked at Roman. Logan had told the others about his conversation with Roman earlier and found out he was the only one to have actually talked to him that day. 

Patton: Hey their Roman. Want some dinner we didn't see you at lunch today so you must be hungry.

Roman: I'm fine. Your not my dad so you don't need to watch me. I can take care of myself.

Virgil: Hey don't yell at Patton he was just asking if you wanted dinner. You don't have to be rude to all of us just because you think your better.

Roman just sighed and walked up to his room. What was with him? He was nothing like how he had been yesterday. Yesterday he was all personable and even said he used to get bullied. Now he was acting more arrogant then Will. Patton was slightly distressed at Romans behavior and Logan placed a hand on his shoulder. 

Logan: Ignore him Patton. You did a good job with dinner. I can make dinner tomorrow because you did it twice in a row if you'd like.

Virgil: Yah it's awesome. I guess I could do the dishes.

Patton: You don't need to do that I don't mind cooking or cleaning. I just like helping people and it's kinda fun.

Virgil: Ok. I'm going to head up to bed soon. I didn't get much sleep last night.

They all quickly finished their food and Virgil washed the dishes before heading to bed leaving Patton alone in the living room. After an hour Patton went up to bed and Logan went to his room and look at his phone when it rang to see his Fathers number.

Logan: Hello father. 

L. Father: Hey Logie. How are you? How was your first couple of day's at school?

Logan: Logan. School was satisfactory. 

L. Father: Thats good. So tell me all about it!

Logan told his father about the last couple of day's. When he finished he wished his father good night and went to bed. After all he needed to get 8-10 hours of sleep at night for full brain functioning. Logan closed his eye's and went to sleep.

Hey so apparently SOMEONE READ MY BOOK!!! YAY! Now I'm not just writing to nobody for no reason! I had no clue how to end this one so hopefully it wasn't too bad! 

Edit: So LOL I forgot to name this chapter before posting it and I had no clue what to call it so I made it "A new Day" Also if anyone has ANY ideas for a cover PLEASE SEND THEM TO ME!!! The one I have now was just the only thing I've created for this.
