Dear William,

You must have heard the news, right? The Ministry has fallen, first Hogwarts and now the Ministry. I don't know what to do, what's your mother going to do? I don't even know how to talk to my parents about it all, they've never understood magic.
I'm scared, I have seen all the things the new Ministry have put out about people like me and your mum, how do I even know if I'm safe? It's been almost two weeks and people have gone missing. I sent Yazmin an owl when it started and she's been thinking about immigrating, her parents have always wanted to go back to Colorado, so she might just go to Ilvermorny, after all, it's safer in the US right now.
Plus, Max said that his parents are thinking about sending him and Eloise to Beauxbatons, he is fuming about it though, I don't think he will go. Pretty sure Eloise wont get much of a say in it since she is only 13.
I just need you, I haven't seen you all summer, and with all of this, I'm terrified.
The distance between us is too great, Kent to Cork. I'd travel to you if I wasn't scared about possible intercepts, but I don't know what your thoughts are on it. I don't know what you're thinking at all, please write back.
It worries me that you haven't written since the end of term, maybe I'm overthinking things but the only conclusions I can come to are that you're not safe, or something wrong between the two of us. I just need some clarification, especially in these times.

Dear June,

I've spoken to my cousins, Max isn't going, he refuses, he is such a stubborn bitch, but Eloise is. Have you heard from William? Max did just before the Ministry fell, but not since then. I figured things are going a bit differently over there, but here in London, things are loud. Diagon Alley isn't safe, don't go there.
If you need anything, at all, just write, if it's hiding, security, whatever, just tell me and I will help. You are my best friend, I won't let anything happen.

Dear Sirenna,

I still haven't heard anything from William, you know what I'm like, it's stressing me out. His mum is a muggle-born, his dad is muggle, plus his mum is very outwardly Anti-You-Know-Who, what if they've been taken or worse. It hasn't been that long since it's all started, but I have no idea how quick things might be moving. I live in a tiny village, it's just muggles, you don't hear anything here, and I don't want to get a wizarding news paper sent by owl, I don't want them to find me. I might stop sending Teddy out with my letters, the Royal Mail sounds safer for the time being.
Maybe I'm being over the top, but I am scared, I want to take every precautions possible.

Dear June,

I am so sorry, I would have written sooner, me and my ma have been sorting things out. You're right, people aren't safe. You are one of the smartest, hard working and dedicated people I know, and me and my ma have been thinking of ways to get you to Hogwarts so you can finish your final year without Death Eaters or Snatchers finding you. Do you remember fifth year? With the come and go room, I'll try to find it, and until then there's a village in the highlands, one with some of my family. Surprisingly there are O'Cuinneagain's even as far up in Scotland as Hogwarts. I would be able to send you work and books from Hogwarts. Come to Kings Cross on the 1st, and we will get you there. I promise you.

This summer has been difficult with my ma writing things and trying to hold her own revolt and my dad being a muggle, people aren't happy with us. We've had to do a lot a travelling. I'm currently in Wales, camping. I wanted to write, by my ma said it wasn't safe.
I can only imagine how stressed you've been, and I'm so sorry if I worried you. I just want to go straight to you, it's been too long. I miss you, and I love you.
Promise me one thing though, let me protect you throughout all of this.

There weren't many letters sent that summer, too much worry over letters being tracked and watched for anyone to truly feel safe. No one knew what was waiting for them in year ahead. They are just normal students, all from different backgrounds. They are a group of four, each from different house, they met over their years at Hogwarts.
Slytherin: Sirenna Banks, half-blood witch, daughter of a muggle-born and a pure-blood. She's energetic, cunning, resourceful, outgoing and ever so determined, she fits into Slytherin very well, based on her personality that is. She never agreed with the purist ideologies that some of her fellow housemates held.
Ravenclaw: Max Turner, pure-blood wizard, cousin to Sirenna, whilst he a very easily agitated and aggravated he is also very creatively talented, he can be very self-kept, and so his first friend at Hogwarts was his own cousin.
Gryffindor: William O'Cuinneagain, half-blood, son to a muggle-born witch and muggle father, he can very defensive if need be but also very protective of his friends, he has an impulsive nature and a lot of loyalty. He would defend anyone, but particularly his friends, and of course his Hufflepuff.
Hufflepuff: June Peters, muggle-born. A righteous, hard working and patient (but impatient) witch, she is the most anxious out of the group, mostly due to all the muggle-born attacks that happened at Hogwarts, especially in their second year.

In first year Sirenna met lots of people, making friends left and right. It made it easy for Max and June not to be left behind as this Slytherin was stuck beside them. William made a lot of friends in Gryffindor. Then it wasn't until 3rd Year when he dated a Gryffindor called Eleanor Greenview, who turns out was dating Max at the same time, and so Max and William became friends, and can now laugh at their stupid 13-year-old selves. And that's how William met the rest of them.
In their 4th Year, William asked June to the Yull Ball, though they didn't start dating until midway through their 6th year, which Sirenna called the painful slow burn. So whilst they aren't fighting all sorts of different things each year since the age of 11, like Harry Potter and his friends, they do have their own interesting lives, that could easily be written about as more of a wizard school life drama. But this story tells you about their lives in their 7th year, the year of the Battle of Hogwarts. The year nobody was truly safe, the year June went into hiding, the year they fought for their lives, their school, and their freedom.

There were so many people who fought in that battle, these are just four of them, but it's best to tell as many stories as you can. And at least through this people will know some of the names of students who fought, and some more that passed, the ones Harry Potter would never mention because he never knew them. And I'm sure there are more then even I can name.
