🔑 Key for Use

Dates = MM/DD/YYYY format, relative to EST (GMT-4)

Standard Formats

I don't like to abbreviate, but I want to save space. Weird, huh? So, extra words must go. Fiction? Story? Best? Most? Yeah, that's kind of implied, and I don't think it's necessary to say that for every.single.category. But I don't want to write out the entire acronym for LGBTQIAPK+, either.

In a nutshell: Spelled out, singular, unhyphenated, no extra words, backslash (/) for combo categories, stage names for BTS members (J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Suga, V).

The Emoji Party

In awards with multiple categories, I list emojis representing those categories next to the award and host name, and I remove those emojis as the categories close. Some emojis are static and will stay put, like the orange circle, which denotes official Wattpad and community Ambassador events (not events by individual Ambassadors), and most can stand for genres and related subgenres/mini categories (for example, I would give a Best Couple category the same symbol I would give the Romance category).

Status: Prepping, Open, Hiring judges, Judging, Voting, Pending, etc. If an award is open for both participants and judges, I only put "Open" here, not "Open/Hiring judges."

Entries: User sign-ups, like when a person enters a prompt contest or a graphics contest. If I know the deadline, I'll list that here. If not, I'll say "No deadline listed."

Submissions: Creative submissions. If I know the deadline, I'll list that here. If not, I'll say "No deadline listed." I also list all open categories using a standard format so they're easier to search. This may differ from the event organizer's category names.

Nominations: This slot is for categories where people nominate other authors and books. If I know the deadline, I'll list that here. If not, I'll say "No deadline listed."

Hiring judges: If I know the deadline, I'll list that here. If not, I'll say "No deadline listed." I also list all open categories using a standard format so they're easier to search. This may differ from the event organizer's category names. "Urgent need" indicates categories with last-minute judging vacancies.

Voting: If I know the timeline, I'll list that here.

Judging: If I know the timeline, I'll list that here. If the organizer has custom category names, I switch to using those here so it's easier for me to follow event announcements and progress.

Results: If I know the timeline, I'll list that here.

Last update: If an event is a collaboration between multiple profiles, I review them all and use the most recent information available.

Book: The date listed here may differ from the most recent publishing date in the book's table of contents if I see recent chapter comments from the organizer or if the "last updated" date at the end of the final chapter is more recent.

Message board (specific): This is the date of the most recent announcements about the award, or the most recent message board comment replying to an inquiry about the award.

Message board (general): This is the most recent date of any activity on the message board.

Notes: Host is the only judge, BTS fanfiction only, etc. If payments require more than the basics (adding the award book to a public reading list, following the host, shout-out, tags, voting on the award book), I'll list them here.

Personal: This is where I keep track of what I've entered where.
