"What does a boy go through when liking a girl?"

For those who think we want no more,
Than gaining a body to touch,
For those who think we strive for pure lust,
Lies! I say, to follow with faith.

There's nothing more wrong, to think me so low!
Why don't you find out for yourself,
What I think, how I go through each passing day,
With my mind aching for you:

He goes through such pain to think that he's not
Worthy of being with you.
He goes through much worry in trying to say
When he wants some words with you.

He spots you from the sea, of the bustling crowd,
Down the hall, when your smile is true
He hides from the world, unsure of himself,
Should he reach to the sky, past the blue.

He lies down in bed, with pain in his mind,
To regret what he's not said.
The words that he wished came out from his mouth,

Has then been said by someone else.

He gasps from pain when hoping in gloom,
That you might bring your lamp,
So that he can find his way in this world
When all else snuff out his light.

Cannot you see, the feelings he bears,
In watching from afar?
They say love is a healing flame for warmth,
I feel myself burn, but still hope for its touch.
