This story takes place before the Avengers. I don't know anything about the comics since I experienced more in the movies. Thank you for understanding. ^_^

"Ready?"

"Ready."

His suit took off and I chased after him. "How is it?" I asked.

"More comfortable. Much better than the Mark II." He replied.

We were headed to find something that caught Tony's heat radiation signal.

"What is it anyway?" I asked and I heard him sigh through the earpiece. Just so you know, I'm not a human. I used to be . I used to be that little innocent girl that everyone knew until HYDRA took me in and changed me into this.... creature.

As Tony said, I'm a dragon. Something unusual around the world and he would try to keep me out of the T.V. cameras. He doesn't want anyone to discover about me just yet which I don't know why. So far, I've known Stark for over 3 years now after he found me in a area way outside the city of New York. I've helped him with the amount of chaos that has happened lately but I would always stay hidden in the shadows so he could "protect" me.

I have red scales that are close to the color of blood. Three black horns on each side of my head. Smaller horns in my forehead as they grew into spines down my back to my tail. My wings were also colored in red as my claws were black. I have a knife like curve at the tip of my tail that can cut anything. It is sharp so I used it carefully. I had two more small wings which are found right over my hind legs, so they could stop me from a fast move. My body was about the length of the iron suit, excluding the wings. As for my height, my head reaches to Tony's neck despite my short neck. My scales from just the end of my jaw down to my stomach and all the way to the middle of the tale is yellow.

"I don't know. But must be something important. I'd like to be the first to get there," He said through his suit. I wore the earpiece just in case we were separated. And I bet you're wondering how the earpiece fits on my head, Tony made a few especially for me since well... I own a big head. "JARVIS? Did you find it?" Tony asked his computer.

"I believe it is only 12 miles away, sir." He answered. I nodded and looked ahead.

"We can't really find anything since we're over water right now." I huffed and looked at the water below. My eyes could see the objects in the depth of the oceans. Thankfully, my eye sights and hearings have been better.

"We still mig-" Tony was suddenly cut off as I heard what felt like a ring tone. It might be Pepper so I would just leave them be.

I descended and my claws skimmed the salty ocean below me. My eyes focused below the sea. As for what we were looking for, we couldn't find it but JARVIS said that the location of it was nearby us.

My wings were now only spread on my sides, keeping my speed steady. "Hey, Nera. We need to go back for something important." Tony called for me.

"What is it about?" I asked but he told me it's something he needs to do alone. I'm used to helping him out with his Arc Reactor but recently something was off with it. But this time, something was different. I sighed and stopped in midair as I pushed my wings infront of me to stop me. Tony used his flaps and thrusters to stop him.

"C'mon." He said and we sped off to the Stark Tower.

"You're free for tonight." Tony said and nodded for me to go out. We just came in about an hour ago. I was now sitting in my usual spot, next to the window and having a good look of the huge city of New York.

"Don't you want any help?" I asked. I usually help him with literally everything.

"Nope," He replied as he popped the letter P at the end. "Now go to your freedom for the night and enjoy it." He gestured with his hands.

I rolled my eyes and nodded. I stepped out on the platform of where stark lands and spread my wings. At the edge of the platform, I hopped in the air and flew up into the night sky. As now, I was just a bird in the sky that is soundless.
