"Magdalena Stefania Romanoff!" a loud voice filled Maggie's bedroom. Maggie groaned from where she had been lying in bed to recover after the battle
"Yelena-" Maggie sat up, eyeing her aunt in the doorway.
"Maggie!"
"Yelena-"
"Oh my god!"
"Yelena-"
"Maggie, I'm alive!" Yelena shouted, jumping on Maggie's bed and hugging her.
"Yeah, so am I!" Maggie said back.
"I'm alive and it's been five years and, holy shit, Natasha explained it all. I'm sorry about Katerina and I'm so glad Johann and Claudia and Wanda and me, I'm so glad we're all back and, oh my god, what the hell is going on?!" Yelena laughed.
"It's a lot. I know," Maggie ran her hand through her hair.
"Natasha said they were arriving today. She said she's finished their rooms in this insane mansion that Tony left you, and she said I could come and live with you all, too," Yelena said.
"Are you gonna?" Maggie said.
"As long as I don't have to share a wall with you and Wanda. Natasha tells me you're lou-"
"Mom!" Maggie yelled in embarrassment, knowing Natasha was lurking close enough to hear. "Stop telling Yelena about my sex life just because neither of you have one!" she said.
"Hey, leave me alone," Yelena whined. "I can't help that I don't feel sexual attraction to people," she said.
"Okay, then just mama. Seriously?" Maggie eyed Natasha as she stepped into the room.
"You're seriously coming at me?" Natasha raised an eyebrow. "Your girlfriend is baking enough food in the kitchen to feed the people we brought back to life," she said.
"My girlfriend hasn't been in a kitchen for five years. Let her bake. Besides, saves us having to do it," Maggie shrugged.
"She has a point, you know," Yelena said.
"Magpie," Friday said.
"Yeah, Friday?" Maggie said.
Tony had programed her to say that and nothing Maggie could do to it would stop Friday doing it. In the end, she'd decided to let it go. She needed some reminder of Tony and that was enough. It really was enough for her.
"You asked to be informed when the Quinjet was landing," she said.
"They're here!" Yelena squeaked, falling off the bed in her haste to go and meet the kids she hadn't met yet.
"I think she's more excited than we are," Natasha chuckled, helping Maggie to her feet.
"I know," Maggie said. "Alexei and Melina didn't want to move in, then?" she said.
"You really think I'd let them near my granddaughter?" Natasha raised an eyebrow. "God, I'm not old enough to be a grandma. Don't let Valie call me grandma, alright?" she said.
"Relax, mama," Maggie rolled her eyes fondly as they walked down the hallway.
"I'm forty years old. That's too young for grandma," Natasha said.
"Well, if we're going off our ages, technically you were fifteen when I was born. I'd be happy with the bigger age gap for grandma," Maggie pat her shoulder. "Wanda, they're here!" she called as they passed the kitchen.
Wanda came running out of the kitchen with an apron still on her, flour in her hair and on her face.
"Wow," Natasha snorted.
"The kids are here!" Wanda beamed, running past them after Yelena.
Maggie and Natasha shared a look before following them outside of the mansion Tony had left Maggie to raise her family in.
Pepper said he'd written this mansion into his will for her back when she was fourteen and they'd all just finished fighting Loki in New York. That had been eleven years ago and, when Maggie had asked Pepper why, all Pepper could say was that Tony said she was his Magpie and he wanted to take care of her and their family.
Maggie vowed from that day on that the mansion Tony left her would always be a second home for Pepper and Morgan, in the event they ever needed an escape from the cabin he'd built for them a few years back. And she would stay true to her promise she made to Tony, she would be there for Pepper and Morgan however long they needed her.
"Here we go," Natasha smiled as the ramp from the quinjet lowered.
Andreas was the first one off, eyes already searching for Maggie and Natasha.
"Mags, Nat!" Andreas cheered, running over and jumping on the two of them at once.
"Hey, little guy," Natasha laughed.
"I missed you," Maggie mumbled, kissing his cheek.
"Maggie! Maggie! Maggie!" Valie squealed, wriggling out of Claudia's arms.
Maggie let go of Andreas and knelt down, opening her arms for Valentina. She jumped into them and Maggie stood up, cradling her to her chest.
"Hi, malyshka," she whispered, tucking Valentina's hair behind her ears. "I missed you," she said.
"I missed you and Nat," Valie smiled.
"Come and give me a cuddle," Natasha grinned at Valie. Maggie handed her over, watching as Wanda hugged Johann, Claudia and Andreas while introducing Yelena to them.
Maggie walked over, wrapping her arms around Wanda's waist from behind.
"Hi," Maggie said.
"Maggie," Johann smiled at her. She let go of Wanda and let him and Claudia hug her. "Thank you," he whispered in her ear.
"Thank you for raising them both," Claudia whispered.
"You're family," Maggie stepped back with a shy smile.
"Are you sure you guys want us to move in here with you?" Johann said.
"Of course we do!" Wanda grinned. "Everybody under one roof? More adults than kids? People with special abilities? What's not to want?" she said.
Maggie laughed.
"Probably everything you said is wrong," she said.
"It'll be chaos, but it'll be fun," Natasha said, carrying Valie over to join the conversation. "C'mon. Let's get you guys to your rooms. We've got to head over to the lake for Tony's funeral early tomorrow, so we should get everything sorted while we can," she said.
"Are we allowed to go?" Johann said.
"We'd like to pay our respects to the man who helped save the world," Claudia said.
"Yeah," Maggie smiled tearfully. "We can all go," she said.
"Mags," Valie mumbled, holding her arms out for Maggie. Maggie took her, kissing her forehead three times.
"Valentina, I'd like you to meet auntie Wanda and auntie Yelena," Maggie said.
"Hi, Valie," Wanda smiled fondly at Valie. Valie blushed and hid her face in Maggie's neck.
"Hey, Valie, can Wanda show you something cool?" Maggie whispered.
"Yeah," Valie nodded shyly.
Wanda looked at Maggie and Maggie nodded. Wanda looked at Valie, eyes flashing red for a second. Maggie looked at Valie and watched as a smile spread across her face.
She knew what Wanda was showing Valie because she'd showed Wanda the memory the night before. It was of Katerina back when Valie was a baby, holding her and singing to her as she tried to get her to sleep. Maggie was doing the same to Andreas, who was too old really for Maggie to be holding him like a baby, but it had been after nightmares so she didn't mind.
Valie held her arms out and Wanda took her, putting her on her hip.
"Thank you," Valie kissed Wanda's cheek, laying her head on her shoulder.
"Why is Wanda covered in flour?" Andreas asked.
"Because she's been baking. Want to see?" Yelena said.
"Of course," Andreas snorted. He and Yelena took off towards the house, the others starting to follow.
"They're going to be trouble together, aren't they?" Claudia said.
"Yeah," Natasha sighed, but the smile on her face betrayed the look she was giving to Yelena and Andreas' back. "They are," she said.
Maggie held Morgan and Valie on her lap as the three of them, Pepper, Happy Hogan and Rhodey all watched Tony's recorded message from the day before he'd joined them to start time travelling.
Morgan had insisted on staying with Valie, which had surprised both Pepper and Maggie, but they figured that they should let Morgan have what she wanted considering they were at her father's funeral.
"So I thought I'd probably better record a little greeting... In the case of an untimely death on my part. I mean, not that, death at any time isn't untimely. This time travel thing that we're gonna try and pull off tomorrow, it's– it's got me scratching my head about the survivability of it all. That's the thing. Then again, that's the hero gig. Part of the journey is the end," the hologram of Tony walked towards the Ironman helmet on the table. "What am I even trippin' for? Everything's gonna work out exactly the way it's supposed to," he said.
He leaned down and smiled, looking directly at Morgan. She stared back at him with wide eyes.
"I love you 3000," he said, the hologram cutting out. Maggie felt a tear drop onto her neck and she kissed Morgan's forehead as she fiddled with Maggie's red bracelet.
"It's okay, malyshka," she mumbled.
She stood up with the girls, Morgan holding her arms out to Pepper. Pepper took Morgan and the wreath with Tony's first arc reactor built into it.
Maggie and Valie followed them out of the house, joining the crowd of Tony's family around the lake.
Pepper, Morgan, Happy and Rhodey were right beside the lake as Pepper floated the wreath off. Steve, Peter and his aunt May, Thor and Bruce were just behind them. Doctor Strange, Wong, Scott, Hope, Janet Van Dyne and Hank Pym stood slightly off to the side.
Quill, Nebula, Rocket, Groot, Drax and Mantis were stood off to the other side. T'Calla, Okoye and Shuri were just in front of Clint, Laura and their three kids. Bucky and Sam were just behind them. Maggie, Wanda, Natasha, Yelena, Johann, Claudia, Andreas and Valie were in the middle of the second wave of people, Valie clinging to Maggie as they watched the wreath float away.
Secretary Ross, Maria Hill, Carol Danvers and Nick Fury were behind them and, for once, Maggie felt like she understood what family truly meant. For all of the good times, and for all of the bad.
Valie yawned into Maggie's neck and she kissed her forehead, rubbing her back to try and soothe her to sleep.
"Thought I'd find you two over here," Wanda said quietly as she joined Maggie and Valie at the side of the lake. Maggie was holding a half asleep Valie, rocking her as she tried to let the sounds of the water soothe her.
"Hi," Maggie said. Wanda kissed her softly, stroking Valie's hair out of her face.
"Hi, malyshka," Wanda whispered to Valie.
"Tired," Valie pouted miserably at Wanda. She held her arms out and Maggie let Wanda take her. Carrying a three year old around constantly was getting exhausting but Valie was only really comfortable with Maggie since Katerina had died.
She was warming up to Natasha and Andreas again, but she was struggling to warm up to Johann, Claudia, Wanda and Yelena. It had only been a week since she'd met Johann and Claudia, a day since she'd met Wanda and Yelena, so Maggie wasn't too surprised.
Still, Wanda could easily soothe Valie's mind with a little touch of magic and, considering Maggie knew Wanda only showed her memories of Katerina, she didn't mind her doing it to help Valie fall to sleep.
"You know," Maggie said, watching Valie's eyes flutter shut as Wanda showed her visions of Katerina, "I wish there was a way that I could let her know that we won," she said. She looked up at Wanda. "That we did it," she said.
"She knows," Wanda smiled sadly. "They both do," she said.
Maggie leaned into her side, thinking of Vision, who they'd lost five years ago and had been unable to bring back.
"Yeah," Maggie hummed, resting her head on Wanda's other shoulder. "They know," she agreed.
"I missed you while I was gone," Wanda said.
"Please, it was like a nap for you," Maggie snorted.
"Still, it's weird sleeping without you," Wanda rolled her eyes, wrapping her free arm around Maggie's waist to bring her closer. "I don't ever want to be without you again," she said.
"So, don't be," Maggie said. She rested her chin on Wanda's shoulder. Wanda turned to look at her, eyebrows raised.
"Are you making a move on me, Magdalena Romanoff?" Wanda smirked slightly.
"These past five years without you..." Maggie trailed off. "You died in my arms and then you came back. These years without you have been harder than the experiments and the Red Room combined. You made me feel things and then you died on me, and then you came back, and now we're going to be raising my sister's child in a mansion that my dead uncle left me and everything is crazy. It's absolutely crazy, but it's also making me realise that I want a life with you, a family and a love story our kids ask to hear at bedtime. I want it and I want it with you," Maggie said.
"So, we get married?" Wanda mumbled, brushing her nose against Maggie's.
"We could. If you wanted, I mean," Maggie mumbled back. Wanda turned so she was facing Maggie completely. She leaned in and kissed her softly, brushing her thumb over Maggie's cheeks before she pulled back.
Valie stared up at the two of them with a smile.
"Hey, little missy, you're supposed to be napping," Maggie chuckled.
"Are you gonna wear a pretty dress, Mags?" Valie said cutely.
"I don't know, yet, malyshka. Do you want to wear a pretty dress?" Maggie said.
"Yeah," Valie grinned. "Can I be... Can I do the flowers?" Valie asked.
"You want to be a flowergirl?" Wanda said. Valie nodded. Wanda smirked at Maggie. "Okay, malyshka. Whatever you want," she said.
"That's a yes?" Maggie raised an eyebrow at Wanda. Wanda rolled her eyes and pulled Maggie into another kiss.
"That's definitely a yes," she mumbled against her lips.
Maggie laughed, pulling back so they didn't crush Valie between them. Valie wriggled down, racing over to where Natasha was talking to Clint and his family.
"Nat, Nat, guess what?" she said. Natasha scooped her up onto her hip.
"What, princess?" Natasha smiled.
"Maggie and Wanda are gonna get married and I get to wear a pretty dress," she said.
"They are, are they?" Natasha turned to look at Wanda and Maggie with a smirk. Maggie groaned and buried her face in Wanda's neck. Wanda laughed and rubbed her back soothingly. "That's great news," Natasha told Valie.
"I know!" she grinned.
"It's great news," Wanda whispered to Maggie teasingly. Maggie laughed and pulled away from her fiancée.
"Shut up, Maximoff," she said.
"It'll be Maximoff-Romanoff soon," Wanda beamed, tugging Maggie back to their family.
Maggie rolled her eyes but didn't bother wiping the smile off her face. Yelena wrapped an arm around Maggie's shoulder and kissed her niece's forehead.
"We did it, hey?" Yelena whispered.
"Yeah," Maggie sighed happily. "We did it," she said.
TEN YEARS LATER
"Kids, let's go!" Wanda yelled upstairs as she used her powers to float the picnic baskets outside. "Everybody's arriving!" she called.
"We're coming, we're coming!" the kids yelled back.
Andreas appeared at the top of the stairs, his siblings and cousin behind him. Andreas was twenty, now, and had his son, Johann Jr, on his hip with his wife, Eliza, behind him. Valentina was behind them, thirteen now, and was laughing with Andreas' little sister, nine year old Katerina, or Kitty, as they called her. Behind Valie and Kitty was Claudia and Johann's last two kids, the seven year old twins; Nikolas and Alma.
"Where are the others?" Wanda asked Andreas.
"Outside already with grandma Nat," Andreas said.
"Oh, I must've missed them heading out," Wanda sighed. "Okay, kids, grab a tray each and let's go," she said.
They all grabbed a tray of food for the Avengers family picnic and headed out of their mansion, towards the backyard where everybody was gathering.
The first group that had arrived was Pepper, Happy, Rhodey and Morgan. Morgan was thirteen, now, and had insisted they come early so she could spend time with her best friend, Valentina.
Since Tony and Katerina had died, Pepper and Maggie had made it a regular thing for the two girls to get together weekly outside of their regular interactions in school. If Maggie couldn't take them somewhere, Wanda, Natasha, Rhodey, Johann or Claudia would step in. As the girls got older, Andreas had offered more and more, too.
"Valie!" Morgan shouted, running over to meet her with her phone in her hand.
"Morgs," Valentina beamed. She let go of the tray, Wanda using her powers to float it over to the table.
"Valie, what did I say about letting go of things without telling me?" Wanda said.
"Sorry, momma," Valie rolled her eyes, dragging Morgan away.
"Teenagers, hey?" Pepper chuckled as she greeted Wanda.
"Honestly," Wanda smiled. "It gets easier, doesn't it?" she said.
"Eventually," Claudia joined them with a smile. "Just give them time," she said.
"Your girls aren't teenagers. Teenage girls are different," Pepper said.
"Completely different," Natasha joined them with Laura and Clint. "Maggie was a complete ass when I met her," she said.
"Hey!" Maggie called from where she was helping unload things from other people's cars. "I'm a fucking delight!" she said.
"Yeah, she's a fucking delight!" Yelena laughed as her dog, Fanny, bounded over to Natasha.
"She brings that damned dog everywhere," Natasha laughed, bending over to take the ball Fanny was holding and throw it down the end of the garden where the children had all gathered.
"She loves it," Melina greeted Natasha with a tight hug, Alexei lumbering behind her with an armful of Red Guardian action figures for the kids.
"Hey, kids, it's great-grandpa Guardian!" Alexei beamed as he walked to the end of the garden to see the kids.
"We have boxes of those things already that the kids don't play with. Why did he bring more?" Natasha said.
"He thinks they're fun," Melina shrugged.
"They're annoying," Natasha said.
"Agreed," Wanda nodded.
"Oh, let the man have his fun. He's getting old, now," Melina chuckled.
"Hey, guys, a little help would be nice!" Sam yelled from the car. He, Bucky, Peter and aunt May were struggling to hold bags of their things.
"Where's Maggie?" Wanda called back.
"Maggie's already carrying all of our things," Melina said.
"Alexei brought a carful of Red Guardian merchandise," Yelena said.
"It's a good thing we live near a large Soviet community who love our donations," Natasha muttered to her. Yelena snorted.
"Hey, guys," Bruce waved, walking onto the grass with Doctor Strange, Wong, Hope, Scott and Cassie.
"Hey," Natasha smiled at them.
"Cassie, Cooper and Lila are down with the kids at the end of the garden if you want to chill with them," Laura said.
"Thanks," Cassie smiled, heading down to see her boyfriend and his little sister.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't wonderful Wanda!" Thor boomed as he walked across the grass after the Lang family. Behind him followed Groot, Rocket, Quill, Nebula, Drax, Mantis, and Gamora, who they'd located two years after they defeated Thanos. On Quill's hip was their little alien son, PJ, and Gamora was pregnant with their second child.
And, last but not least, T'Challa, Shuri, Okoye, T'Challa's wife, Nakia, and their children, T'Chaka and Ramonda.
The only people who weren't there were Steve, Tony and Katerina, because all three of them had passed away. Steve had passed three years ago, having seven years after he'd returned the Infinity Stones and came back as an old man. They'd buried him beside Peggy Carter's grave, after he'd confessed to Natasha on his deathbed that she was the one he'd married when he got the chance to.
"Has anybody seen my wife?" Wanda asked exasperatedly. She'd seen everyone except for her wife and kids.
"I'm right here, honey," Maggie laughed, wrapping her arms around Wanda from behind. She kissed her cheek quickly.
"Where have you been?" Wanda turned in Maggie's arms, wrapping hers around Maggie's neck.
"Well, I was helping everyone with their bags, and then Fanny knocked little Alma over and I had to help her clean it before they went in the pool," she said.
"Is she alright?" Johann asked.
"She's fine. Playing with the twins, now," Maggie said.
"Which twins? My twins or your twins?" Claudia said.
"Considering Alma is one of your twins, I think that implies it's my twins," Maggie laughed.
"How are Pietro and Natalia?" Yelena grinned.
"They're causing mischief, as usual," Maggie smiled as she thought about their eight year old twins.
Pietro was exactly like his namesake, possessing the same silver hair and the same abilities Pietro had. Natalia was exactly like her namesake. She had the same red hair and blue eyes as Natasha did, but she had Maggie's and Wanda's shared ability of telekinesis.
"And how is the little one?" Laura cooed.
Their little one was three year old, little Anthony. Anthony Steven Maximoff-Romanoff was exactly like his namesakes. Steve had died the day after he was born and he'd confessed to Maggie that he had to hold on to meet little Romanoff's baby. Anthony already had a fascination for technology, like Tony had, and he would steal Sam's shield whenever he visited so the two of them could play catch.
"Ant is causing the usual amount of trouble that he does," Wanda smiled as she looked at Maggie.
"He's a lot amount of headstrong and determination mixed in with magic, living with a psychotic family and three very, very encouraging siblings," Maggie said.
"Yeah, that sounds about right for my grandson," Natasha chuckled.
"Shall we go and get the BBQ started, Mighty Maggie?" Thor said.
"We shall indeed," Maggie laughed.
She kissed Wanda before following Thor to the BBQ. The group of adults split into factions, getting themselves drinks and falling into conversations to catch up with each other in their year since the last reunion everyone was at.
They held yearly functions, mostly at Maggie and Wanda's mansion where they still lived with Natasha. She had stayed to help with the kids. Johann, Claudia and their lot had moved out after three years of living in the mansion because they wanted Maggie and Wanda to have a more normal family life. Yelena had moved out for work a year after Johann had left, but she came back to visit monthly, or every two months if a job was taking too long.
However, not everyone could attend the functions every year. They all tried but life got in the way sometimes and they had all grown apart. Still, they made it a big deal to get together on the big anniversaries, like the tenth year one today.
Wanda had arranged it to celebrate their win against Thanos ten years ago, to celebrate the lives of people that had dedicated themselves to winning the war. Katerina, Tony, Steve, just to name a few. Not to mention the people that had died fighting Thanos before the first snap.
They had all agreed that this celebration had to be big.
"Smores!" Sam cheered louder than the kids when Maggie and Wanda used their abilities to summon the smore ingredients that Pepper had sorted for them.
"You are a child," Bucky laughed exactly what Maggie was thinking.
"I'm having fun, man. Lighten up," Sam rolled his eyes. "Alright, kids, this is how we do it," he said.
The kids all moved closer to sit around Sam as he explained what was going on.
"Valie, Morgs, please make sure the little ones don't go near the fire," Wanda said.
"Got it," Morgan and Valentina chorused, moving to make sure the younger kids were firmly in their seats.
"Hey, make me one, please, Pietro," Maggie said.
"Sure, mama. Momma?" Pietro smiled at his mother.
After they'd gotten custody of Valie officially, about two weeks after Tony's funeral, Maggie and Wanda had gotten married. And then, Claudia and Johann had had another baby, Kitty. Wanda had gotten broody but wouldn't broach the conversation with Maggie, because she'd witnessed enough nightmares over the years about her involuntary hysterectomy.
But Maggie had picked up that something was wrong, because she always did, and she worked it out, like she always did. She'd returned home from a visit to Pepper with Bruce, who talked to Wanda and Maggie for an hour about ways they could have kids. Fortunately for Wanda, she still had a uterus, so they'd gotten a donor that resembled Maggie and had Wanda inseminated.
Wanda, of course, had had twins. Pietro came first, born within five minutes of Wanda's waters breaking. Maggie had delivered him herself because there hadn't been enough time for them to get Wanda to the hospital. She'd also joked that Pietro lived up to his namesake, Quicksilver, with his quick birth and masses of silver hair. Maggie had named him Pietro Johann Maximoff-Romanoff and had watched Wanda burst into tears before Natalia was on her way, too.
Natalia was next, taking longer than Pietro by just two minutes. Wanda had named her Natalia Katerina Maximoff-Romanoff as soon as she'd seen the colour of her hair. Natasha had cried when they told her. So had Johann, Claudia, Andreas and Valie.
Then, they'd gotten broody again a few years later. So, Anthony Steven Maximoff-Romanoff was born. And, well, let's just say they had a few more additions making their way into the family before they were completely finished.
"Sure, honey," Wanda smiled softly at him.
After everyone had had their fare share of smores, the parents of the youngest kids had gotten them to sleep on the hanging bed Sam, Bucky and Clint had built in the massive willow tree beside the campfire spot.
That left the adults, Nathaniel, Valie, Morgan, Kitty, Nikolas, Alma, T'Chaka, Pietro and Natalia awake. They were all spending the night at the mansion so most of the adults had had a fair bit to drink or had eaten enough to feel like whales. Wanda had stayed strictly away from the alcohol, indulging in the food at the same rate as pregnant Gamora.
She had smirked knowingly at Wanda but Wanda had just feigned that she had no idea what Gamora was making that face for and had hurried away to eat her food in peace.
"Well, who's turn is it for the speech this year?" Kitty asked.
That was something they did now, too. Every year, someone would give a speech about what they'd achieved and how they'd built lives together. This year, it was Wanda and Maggie's turn.
"The witches' turn," Sam whistled. Maggie and Wanda rolled their eyes but nodded.
"It is," they said.
"Well, the floor is yours," Bucky smiled.
Maggie and Wanda got to their feet, Wanda taking Maggie's hand and tangling their fingers together.
"Well, it's been ten years," Wanda started. "Ten years of absolute chaos, craziness and a little bit less saving the world than we're all probably used to. But it's been good, I think, for everyone. We all needed some normal after everything," Wanda said.
"We've built families, lives, a world we can live in where we don't have to worry as much for our future and the safety of our existence. Obviously, we still do, because it's in our nature as Avengers," Maggie chuckled, the others laughing in agreement. "But it's nice to relax sometimes," she said.
"Hear hear," Rhodey held up his beer with a grin.
"Hear hear," the others echoed.
"We've all been through a lot of shit," Wanda leaned her chin on Maggie's shoulder. Maggie could feel her stomach pressing into her side and she smiled, leaning into the bump unconsciously. "A lot of shit. But we made it out to the other side and we're moving on. We'll never forget those that aren't with us. King T'Chaka, Loki, Frigga, Steve, Tony, Pietro, Katerina, every person that fought for our cause and died to achieve it," Wanda said.
"So, we would like to offer our thanks to them, this year. We'd like to thank them for giving us a better world and for giving us a second chance to life," Maggie said.
"We would also like to thank everybody here with us tonight," Wanda said, smiling tearfully at the guests. They were all smiling tearfully back. "For giving us a family. For giving us love and comfort and space to process our feelings. For giving us everything we worked so hard towards getting," she said.
"So, everybody, here is to the Avengers, to all that we've accomplished and all that our next generation will accomplish. Here is to our future," Maggie raised her glass, smiling at the group of kids all sitting together.
"Here's to the future," everybody echoed, holding up their glasses to the kids.
"Oh, one more thing," Wanda said.
"Yeah?" Natasha smiled as she looked back over at them.
"Our future is gonna be a little bigger in a few months," Wanda said. Maggie smirked as she lifted the oversized hoodie Wanda was wearing, revealing her bump.
Everybody stared at Wanda and Maggie before absolute chaos erupted.
"I bet fifty bucks it's twins again!" Sam yelled.
"Triplets!" Alexei wagered.
"Babies!" Yelena squealed.
"Oh my god!" Pepper cried.
"Ha! Told you they were acting weird," Gamora nudged Quill with an indignant smirk.
"More grandbabies!" Natasha hugged Yelena with a shit-eating grin.
"I call first hold!" Valie said over everyone.
They'd, obviously, told their own kids when they were considering being inseminated again, and they'd told them when they'd gotten the first scan to confirm they were pregnant. All of them had agreed to keep quiet about the news so they could announce it to everyone during the speech.
"I'm not sharing my room with Anthony!" Pietro said.
"You have a whole floor to yourself, dumbass," Natalia fired back.
Maggie laughed as everybody else started shouting over each other eagerly at the news. She looked at Wanda, seeing she was already beaming back at her.
"Have I told you how much I love you, lately?" Maggie hummed, squeezing Wanda's hips gently.
"Well, it definitely wouldn't hurt you to say it some more," Wanda chuckled. Maggie leaned in and kissed her.
"I love you, Maximoff-Romanoff," Maggie smiled.
"I love you more, sweetheart," Wanda mumbled. "More than you know."
