Lucian sat in his study, going over some books on old magic. Technically they had been outlawed, but he was the prince, who would step up to him and tell him it was illegal to own one? Not many he thought.

There was a drizzle outside his window and the water was glowing a soft gold from the lantern he had lit beside him. It was cozy inside the castle but he could only imagine the frigid cold outside. It was mid November now and the rain was going to give way to snow in only a couple of days time. There was still plenty to do to make sure the cold wouldn't penetrate the castle, mainly blocking out drafts and covering cracks with wool strips or blankets.

Luc sighed, he had wished for company but he knew everyone was hard at work with political stuff. He wasn't a fan of the work, so he hid away in his little nook of safety. There had been some ruckus in the undercity (just east of the castle, the slums) like the start of an uprising. His father was working hard to squash it. He even sent the infantry to keep watch for the night, they were not kind either.

The undercity was a different story and one of struggle. The rain ran off the portly structured houses and if one was lucky there would be no leaks tonight but if one was not lucky they would have to wait until morning to get it patched back up.

There was glowing windows and lanterns hung outside so the people could see where they were walking. The lanterns were everyone's responsibility and everyone helped pitch in for them. After all without it the streets would be pitch black.

And somewhere right in the middle of the undercity there would be a tavern called Silver Sword. That's where Elaine's group sought refuge as the tavern keeper was a trusted ally.

The infantrymen marched back and forth through the streets and were to be avoided at all cost, their boots flinging mud as they made their rounds.

(This is just to jump straight in, for those that are still creating forms don't worry you can still get those in we won't leave you behind but I suggest doing it pretty soon.

Also if there are any random characters that are introduced like say the tavernkeeper I'll gladly play the part)
