Serena POV

Some men were sneaking me, tiki and a bunch of people through town ready to sell us into slavery, as the carriage stopped and the crates were opened, people were dragged out one by one, toki held me tight, her hand on my hood, just then one of the kidnappers grabbed me dragging me away from toki, I screamed trying to get away

Seller :" shut up!" He smacked me across the face, just then someone stood in their way, a boy with dark blue hair

Nova:" this is as far as you go, you are all under arrest for illegal kidnapping, and we will be taking those innocent people you've robbed of their freedom"

Seller :" we? Well I see there's more of us, and only one of you" the boy smirked

Nova:" oh trust me sir, I'm not alone" suddenly both men to the sellers left were knocked down by two guys, one had blond hair, the other had black hair and wore a hat, while the seller was distracted, I bit his hand, turned around, and kicked him where the sun don't sun, I ran to toki, she held me tight sobbing, other people joined in the fight, our rescuer were winning, just then someone grabbed me again

Serena:" toki!!!!" I screamed

Toki:" Serena!!!" She screamed, then the guy kicked her in the stomach, knocking her away, a girl with strawberry coloured hair kneeled down beside her, trying to help, I looked at the guy who held me and noticed it was the same seller

Seller" stay back!" He put his gun near my head" or il have to put a bullet right in this poor defenceless girl head, it be such a shame to let such beauty go to waste" his words made me sick, but I was scared out of my mind, I didn't know what to
do, just then someone hit the guy from behind, he lost his grip on me, but I hit my head on the ground, everything became dark

Felicita POV

Devito hit the man in the back, loosening his grip on the girl, but she hit her head and blanked out

Felicita:" is she okay?" Luca pulled her hood away, showing lightest pink hair I'd ever seen, everyone was shocked

Debito:" woah, never seen someone with hair like that before"

Luca:" she's alive, just unconscious, she has no blood loss so she should be okay"

Old woman:" my little girl...." everyone turned to the old woman on the ground, liberta kneeled next to her

Liberta:" she doesn't look good, we need a doctor fast"

Old woman:" it can't be helped....please.....I beg you... keep her safe" she started coughing uncontrollably

Nova:" mam please, we can help you, just hold on" she stopped coughing

Old woman:" young man....I'm already dying....please don let them find her again....my little....Serena" then her hand fell

Nova:" mam please! Stay with us!"

Liberta:" nova, she's already gone"

Felicita:" who did she mean by them?"

Dante:" I don't know, but we do know that their interested on our little friend here" Dante pointed at the unconscious girl" what do we do?"

Felicita:" we take her back to the mansion, whoever is after her, this old woman died because of them, and she asked us to keep her safe, that's all we can do for her" everyone nodded, Dante picked her up and carried her to the mansion ' who is this girl?' I thought

Serena POV

I started to feel myself wake up, my head still hurt from it hitting the floor, when I woke I noticed I was in a reddish like room on a massive bed ' where am I' then I noticed I wasn't wearing my hood ' oh no, did people see my hair, wait where's toki!?!?' Just then the same girl I saw came in

Felicita:" of thank goodness your awake, how are you feeling?"

Serena:" I'm okay, who are you, and, where am I" I asked

Felicita :" my name is Felicita, your in the arcane famiglia mansion, you hit your head really hard on the ground and blanked out, we didn't know if you'd wake"

Serena:" I see, well my name is Serena, wait where's toki"

Felicita:" I'm sorry, but if toki was the name of that old woman, she past away" it felt like something had pierced my heart, I began to cry

Serena:" no...it can't be... why her...why not me..." the girl pulled me into a hug

Felicita:" I'm sorry, we tried to save her, but it was too late, but don't worry, we plan on finding out who those people she begged us to keep you safe from, and bring them to justice" I wiped my tears away

Serena:" thank you"

Felicita:" its going to be okay, the maids are going to dress you, then my father wants to meet you" I nodded and she left, then the maids she told me about came in with a dress

Serena:" are you sure this is alright to wear, I'm not even royalty"

" it's absolutely fine, milady's mother picked this dress out for you anyways" the woman smiled

" might I say, you look absolutely lovely"

" beautiful"

Serena:" umm, thank you" just then there was a knock at the door, it was the boy with the black hair and hat

Luca:" sorry to intrude ladies but I'm here to collect our guest"

" oh Luca, she's right here and ready, it was nice to meet you miss" when he saw me, he blushed

Luca:" my name is Luca miss, I'm here to take you to papa"

Serena:" papa?"

Luca:" he's in charge of the arcana famiglia, he has asked me to bring you to him"

Serena:" of course, and my name is Serena, it's nice to meet you"

Luca:" just follow me" he smiled on our way, we bumped into two boys one wearing an eyepatch, and the other wearing glasses

Pace:" I see our sleeping beauty is awake" he turned to me

Debito:" it's a pleasure to meet you miss?"

Serena:" urrr, Serena"

Debito:" what a lovely name for a lovely girl, the names debito my lady" he took my hand and kissed it, making me blush, then Luca smacked his hand away

Luca:" debito! Enough flirting with out guest!"  Debito smirked

Debito:" what ever you say Luca"

Pace:" my name is pace my lady, I'm sorry but we must be going, it was lovely meeting you" then they both left, I turned to Luca

Serena:" are they always like this?" I asked, he sighed

Luca:" sadly yes, don't worry, it's my duty to put them in their place, I'm sorry if they offended you" I giggled

Serena:" it's okay, I'm used to it" we then came upon a large oak door, Luca knocked, I heard a man yell come in, we both entered

Papa:" it's good to see your awake, may I ask, what's your name young lady?"

Serena:" my name is Serena sir, it's nice to meet you" he laughed

Papa:" there's no need so be so formal, Luca, may I speak with her in private" he nodded before leaving the room, the man known as papa, then turned to me" now young lady, I know your still recovering from yesterday's incident, but it's the only way to find out who was behind it all"

Serena:" I understand"

Papa:" good, now" we talked for a few minutes, till he asked me wait in the room, then he, a woman and felicita walked back in

Mama:" well hello there, you must be the girl my husbands told me about, what is you name dear?"

Serena:" my name is Serena miss" I bowed, she laughed

Mama:" what a charming girl, now my husband and I have talked about what's going to happen to you now" ' great, there probably gonna send me to the orphanage, then whoever see me, they will only want me for my hair'

Papa:" since filicita was young, she's always wanted a sister" I looked at him shocked' is he...' " from now on, you are going to be known as the second daughter of the arcane famiglia" I gasped, then filicita ran at me and pulled me into a hug

Felicita:" this is wonderful! Serena?" I was still in shock

Serena:" I, don't know what to say" papa and mama laughed

Papa:" you don't need to say much, just welcome to the family" later on I met others in the mansion, like liberta, nova, Dante and jolly
