Prologue: Future

Welcome to the "future".
It's technically not the future, but for sake of simplicity, I'm going to call it the future.
Well, it is your future.....
Fifty years from now, your world will look like ours.
But then, of course, our world will have changed, and the cycle repeats.
Now, our world is called Arcadia.
We don't normally socialise with Earth inhabitants, as they can get very confused when we explain how our world is their world in the future.
There was only one time in which they confused us.....
But I'm getting off topic.
My name is Victor.
Victor Russell.
I'm an inhabitant of Arcadia, as you've probably figured out.
I really like Arcadia, but there's one thing I would change.
In Arcadia, there is a law that we are not allowed to visit Earth.
See, the thing is, we know Earth exists, but the current inhabitants of Earth don't know we exist.
And because the government is totally not corrupt and dying (why would you say that?), they want to keep it that way.
However, I've snuck out to Earth before, and never once have I been caught.
I've gone to see the people, the landmarks, all sorts.
Never once have I been caught, by Earth or Arcadia.
Except that one time.
But, anyways, this one time, I was visiting Earth....
STAB
Ughhh...
Ngghh...

Why, hello there.
It seems my friend revealed a little too much.
It's unfortunate he had to be disposed of.
But, alas, it was necessary.
Now, as of you, hmm......
Ooh! I have an idea!
Just a notice: You won't last long.

'The way his voice merged with other voices.....
It was demonic, almost,' thought Bradley, as he shut off his video game.
'Bradley! Dinner's ready!' his mother, Janet, called.
Bradley trudged down the stairs, too-long trouser legs trailing behind.
They were a hand-me-down, but they did the job, and once Bradley had shoes on, they weren't an issue.
Dinner - being traditional Sunday roast - was served, and Bradley, his mother, his father, James, and his sister Angelica all tucked in.
But while Bradley was eating, he couldn't shake the creepy, almost soulless voice from his head.
It sounded so real, probably because it was; a real person had read those lines out to be recorded and implemented into the game, but it wasn't that that hooked Bradley.
It was how evil it sounded.
Yes, the character is the bad guy, but bad guys in video games don't sound like they've killed hundreds of people, and enjoyed it.
'It's just a stupid video game, what harm can it do?' reasoned Bradley.
But oh, how wrong was he....

AN: Well this is coming early!
I didn't think I was going to write the prologue today, but I did, and it's done, so I'ma post it!
That's it, really.
If you spot any errors or inconsistencies, please post them in the comments so I can correct it, I won't get mad at you.
If you enjoyed, think about voting, and I'll see you all on Sunday for the first actual chapter!
PS: Anyone want to suggest last names for Bradley and his family? I have one, but if you guys have better ones, I'll probably use them.
PPS: I love you all for actually reading my stuff.
Bye!
