It's been a year and a few months since the big battle between the light and the dark, it's also been a year and a few months since our hero David had went into the Angel's sleep. Since then Luna has stayed by the side of his bed hoping, dreaming that her Guardian angel would wake up. She missed him a lot she wanted to be in his arms again. After the one year mark his father gave up hope and his brother well, he never wanted David there in the first place.

It was another quiet day in the light city Luna was fast asleep beside David's bed, her head was on the edge of the bed and her hand was rested on top of David's. Moments later David's hand started to move and intertwined with Luna's hand, David opened his eyes slowly; it was hard to open his eyes with all the crust build up on his face. He turned his head to see Luna peacefully sleeping at his bed side, he slowly let go of her hand and carefully snuck out of his bed without waking her. David carefully lifted her into his bed and tucked her in; he kissed her on the head and closed the door.

"Wow I wonder how long I've been asleep?" he wondered. He looked around the hall to see the curtains closed and dusty and it was completely empty. "Where is everybody?" he asked himself. He headed to the dining room to get some breakfast, being asleep for a year and a few months can make a guy hungry. He finally got to the dining room and saw his father sitting and playing with his food with a grey face, meanwhile his brother not caring about his father's depression was eating normally, like nothing ever happened.

David cleared his throat out loud. "What's for breakfast?" He asked. His father dropped his fork and got up out of his chair. "David my beloved son!" his dad yelled. Tyler spat out his food. "David?" he said in shock. His father hugged him tightly. "Ok dad calm down it's not like you haven't seen me in a long time ha." He said trying to catch his breath. His father looked at Tyler then back at him. "Dad what is it?" "David... you've been asleep for a year and a few months." "You're joking right?" he asked. His father shook his head.

"Wow I was really asleep for that long!" "Yep and Luna was there by your side the whole time... after awhile I gave up hope but Luna knew that one day you would come back to her... you picked a good one son." "Wow she really cares; you know what I'm going to make it up to her... I'm going to surprise her." "Good idea you can surprise her in you guys favourite place, the middle of the garden." "That sounds great but I can't show up empty handed!" "Hmmm.... come with me I may have just the thing." "Sweet catch you later Tyler."

In his dad's room the King was digging something up in his dresser, after awhile he pulled out a wooden box with golden rims and a golden plate that had a letter carved in it, it was a very fancy A. "Wow what is it dad?" "It's a box what does it look like!" he said. David gave him a serious face. "Ok, ok I was just kidding it was a birthday present for your mother before she died, I never had the chance to give it to her since she died a few days before her birthday, see the A that's carved into the plate?" "Yeah." "That was to represent the first letter of your mother's name, now we'll change it to an L for Luna."

"You are the best dad! hey what's in the box anyway?" He asked. His father opened the box to reveal a diamond necklace with a diamond heart and a gold frame. "Wow! It's beautiful I think she will love it." "Yeah and it will show her how you feel too." He added. "Alright thanks dad." He said as started to run out of the room. "Uh David?" "Yeah?" "You're still in your pyjamas I think you might want to change." "But how, Luna is in my room and I don't want to wake her up." "Ok I'll give you a new outfit but we better hurry I think she's going to wake up soon." His dad said. He used his magic to make David a new outfit. "There what do you think?" "One word...Awesome!"

"I must warn you my child the clothes will only last till noon." He said in the gentlest voice. David gave him a confused face. "I'm just kidding what you think this is Cinderella?!" "No... But, I admire your attempt to be funny." He said as his head popped in the door way. "Well while he's doing that I'm going to plan a awakening ball I'm going to make it huge." He said.
