"Your father?! Are you sure?!"

Amata nods.

"What did he say to you?!"

He doesn't respond. It is then that I notice a small flower petal sitting on his shoulder. I grab it before anyone else notices. "What did you see?"

"Get back in the battle!" Donar suddenly shouts. "We need another Element back out there! Amata!"

"I'll do it." I stand up. "I'll fight."

Amata grabs my hand. "No! You can't!"

I shake him off. "You did this for me, so now I have to do it for you. Send me in!"

"Mikono! Don't go! Please! He's after the girls!"

"Mikono! You can't go out there!" Ms. Suomi exclaims. "It's too dangerous!"

My hands ball up into fists. "I don't care. Let me fight. There's no way we are getting out of this without a girl fighting. Why can't it be me?"

Everyone is silent for a moment before Crea finally speaks up. "Perhaps this could use a lady's touch. Prepare for battle! Take one of the other Vectors since Vector Z is going to need repair."

"No!" Amata pleads. "Please!"

I shake my head. "I'll be fine. Trust me. Okay?"

I run off to the launch room and change into an Element suit before getting into a Vector and taking off. My heart pounds as I head out into the battle.

"We need to merge again!" Cayenne calls out over the speakers. "Amata! Are you still there?"

I swoop in front of Shrade and my brother's Vectors. "No. It's me."

"Mikono! What are you doing?!" Cayenne shouts. "You shouldn't be here!"

"I know, but I want to fight. You have no other boys left to do this. Let's just merge. Who's the head?"

Donar's voice comes over the speakers. "Cayenne is the head! Begin unification!"

"Okay. Merge one!"

"Merge two!"

"Go AQUARION!"

Light surrounds me all around and I feel both boys' souls touch mine. This merge doesn't feel as intense as some previous ones, but it still feels amazing nonetheless.

"Alright. Let's tear this guy to shrapnel once and for all!" Cayenne aims and shoots at the Gnis, but Izumo just covers himself with the Gnis's wide arms, which act almost as a form of shield. The bullets bounce right off.

"Go for the legs!" I shout.

"What?"

"If we aim for his legs and throw him off balance, he won't see that coming, hopefully."

Cayenne thinks for a moment, and then nods. "Okay."

He charges for the legs as fast as he can, and sure enough, it works. Izumo is knocked off balance and he tumbles in the air for a bit. Before he has a chance to regain himself, my brother smashes Aquarion's fist down into the Gnis, leaving a huge dent.

"Yeah!" I hear the cheering voices from HQ over the speakers.

But our small victory is short-lived. Izumo suddenly throws us off balance and we go crashing to the ground. I feel pain in my whole body as electricity crackles all around us. I cry out, and the merge splits apart.

"No!" I hear Amata's voice. "Mikono!"

I take off. "I'm-I'm okay." But suddenly, I feel another shock of electricity, this one being even more painful, and my Vector is jerked in Izumo's direction, as if it is being dragged behind him by force.

I feel myself collapse to the floor, my whole body numb and unmoving. The last thing I remember is watching myself being forced away from Neo-DEAVA, and hearing Amata's pained voice screaming out my name over the speakers.
