Megan knocked on the door and waited. Soon enough, it opened revealing a woman in floral dressing gown.

"I'm not interested in anything you're selling."

"Actually, Ms Valdez, we want to ask you some questions about your nephew."

Immediately, her features twisted into a grimace. "Why would you want to know anything about that diablo?"

"Why do you call him a devil?" Connor asked.

"He's the reason my sister is dead!" The door was slammed in our faces without another word.

"Well, that went asterously." Robin sighed. "Come on."

We walked back to the Bioship, my fingers wrapped around Riptide. I glanced around one final time before walking up the ramp.

"What wrong babe? Think someone doesn't want us knowing what happened?"

"Megan, if it is not too much to ask, can you move my seat next to Kaldur's?"

"Sure."

I sat next to my brother, taking his hand.

"Where are we going next?" I asked, ignoring Kaldur as he drew patterns on the back of my hand.

"Tristan McLean." Robin replied. "Star of King of Sparta. Apparently his daughter was a bit of a kleptomaniac."

"Hey, what did that Rosa lady mean by Leo causing his mom's death?"

"Unless he was an arsonist I don't see how he could have. His mom died in a fire."

My hand tightened around Kaldur's.

"Well, we might as well kick back and enjoy the ride." Wally grinned and slouched in his seat.

I looked out the window at the clouds. I'm surprised Zeus hasn't tried to kill me yet.

And for once, there was no lightning afterwards.

Soon enough we were standing on the doorstep of one of Hollywood's biggest stars.

"Your turn, Artemis."

She sighed and pressed the button on the intercom.

"Hello, do you have an appointment?"

"Um..." Artemis looked at Robin who gave a thumbs up. "Yes."

"Oh, you're the school group who wants to do a documentary on him aren't you? Cone on in."

The door opened and we walked inside. An air spirit floated over and Kaldur grabbed my arm.

"Hello my name is Mellie, Mr McLean will be with you shortly." She smiled before narrowing her eyes at me.

She shook her head and led us on a brief tour of the house. Which ended with us, sitting across from Piper's dad.

His eyes were red, but he managed a smile. "So you want to make a documentary about me?"

"Actually sir, we are assisting in the investigation of what happened in Athens." Kaldur spoke. "Anything you could tell us would be of great assistance."

"There's not much to tell. I didn't even know Pipes was in Athens. She was supposed to be at the Wilderness School."

"And why was that?"

"She had a habit of stealing stuff for attention and lying about it. She'd always say that she asked for it and they just gave it to her." He wiped his eyes. "I'm sorry, but her funeral is tomorrow and..."

"We understand. We will leave you be." Kaldur stood and the rest of us followed.

"That leaves the Chase family. Hopefully they know something..."

I bit my lip. Annabeth's dad does know. I can only hope he doesn't assume they know everything I know.

It didn't take us too long to get to the house, considering the fact that we were already in California.

"Your turn Percy."

"Please remind me why only the girls have to knock?" I looked back at the group.

"People are less likely to think it's a prank if they see a girl. Plus me and Wally tend to put off a, we will toilet paper your house vibe and Connor looks like he's about to punch them. And Kaldur would be the one to seem like he's asking for church donations."

"Can you spare a moment to learn about our savior, Fish Jesus?" He mumbled in ancient Greek, probably in hopes Connor couldn't understand.

"You assume that I have not been referred to as that."

"You assume that I have not referred to you as that."

I sighed and knocked. And of course the door opened.

"Hello. Wait..." Annabeth's dad stared at me for a second.

I shook my head slightly, warning him not to give away who I am.

"You aren't any of the students who asked for help...who are you?"

"We are investigating the happenings in Athens and we'd like to know any information you may have." Kaldur spoke for me.

Dr Chase sighed. "Come in."

"Fredrick, who are these..." Mrs Chase trailed off staring at me. "I'm going to go get cookies."

Why do these two act like they know you?

I have no idea. I lied, fixing the collar of the jacket.

Isn't that Kaldur's?

Yes. I am letting her borrow it while hers is in the wash.

"What do you want to know?" Dr Chase sighed.

"Why was Annabeth in Athens?" Connor asked.

"She wanted to become an architect and she's always been into the Greek gods."

"Okay, did she have any enemies who would have set up that attack? Or any motives to blow up-"

"She was seventeen, how many enemies could she have?  And why would she destroy an ancient temple?! If you're only here to speak ill of my daughter then leave."

I was the only one who remained in the living room.

"The funeral is going to be at camp tomorrow." Dr Chase spoke.

There's plenty of talk in the mind link so I think I'm safe.

I sighed. "You know I did everything I could to save her right?"

He moved so he was sitting next to me. "I believe that you did. But, what...what happened?"

I didn't answer, instead staring at the floor. My body began to shake and I shot up, running outside, barely holding back tears.

"What took you so long?"

"Tried to convince him we didn't mean any harm." I managed before sitting next to Kaldur.

He stared at me for a few moments. "I do not feel as though this was a success."

"We killed some time dude. That's a win right there. And plus, we should still have time to hit the beach!"

Sorry for this crap

But I wasn't exactly sure how to write this so...........

In unrelated news, I'm hungry.

And my birthday is in a week, so I might plan some birthday updates.

Actually...that will be like the second birthday of my Army of Chaos book. That's cool

Plus spring break is next week so I have to make cookies and stuff this friday.

And...hm...

Anything you want to see in here?

Seriously, I need to know what you guys want to see cause

Well, otherwise my mind is like

No one will care if you don't update, go build a flowerbed

And then while I'm making the flowerbed

Hey go put that bird bath back together

Hey it's actually broken, glue it together

Yeah, that's how my day went.

So unless you want me to be doomed to endlessly building flower beds

What

Do

You

Want

To

See

(Also the boys tennis coach said I could go practice with them. So I might start doing that. So less writing time and less homework time and stuff.)

See yah
