Day 3

Prompt: Caught In The Rain
"The Best Flower Shop In Ninjago," a neon sign towering above Jay bragged.
"Hopefully they have Nya's favorite flowers," he wished, his cheeks gaining a cherry tint at the thought of the most beautiful girl he'd ever met. He glanced around at the empty streets. It looked like something out of a romance movie, only a few lights were on in the street of downtown Ninjago, and the moonlight caused a pale glow onto each building. He sighed happily, wishing Nya could be with him, before he swung the door open. A short woman with red pigtails greeted him warmly. The flower shop was cozy, with hanging plants dangling from the ceiling, and clutter all over the front desk and shelving behind it, making the place feel more like a home.
"Hello, sir, how can I help you?"
"It's me and my girlfriend's anniversary, and I want to get waterlilies for her," Jay requested, a smile blossoming on his face at the thought of how happy Nya would be. The cashier squinted at him for a brief moment, examining his facial features, before she broke into a smile as well.
"Well, if it isn't the master of lightning! I'll be happy to get you some waterlilies for Nya!" She agreed with excitement, and strode over to the right, where a bouquet of waterlilies tied with a blue bow was on display. She walked back over to the front desk and handed it to him happily.
"How much is it?" Jay asked, slightly nervous about having brought enough money. The girl waved him off with her hand.
"For Jaya, it's free."
"Thank you, ma'am," Jay jokingly bowed before walking out with the waterlilies.
"Come back another day and tell me what she thinks!" The woman called. Jay laughed and nodded. As soon as he exited, he ran smack into someone.
"I'm so sor-" he stopped when he took in the girl standing in front of him. Her hair matched the midnight sky so well, he half expected it to be covered in stars when he looked at her, and her eyes shimmered like the morning sun reflecting onto the ocean. It could only be one girl.
"Jay!" She cried, hugging him. Jay, startled, made sure the waterlilies had survived the embrace before hugging back. A light drizzle started.
"It rains when I get excited sometimes," she giggled, pulling away.
"These are for you," Jay held out the flowers, and Nya gasped, leaving him blushing. She hugged the flowers to her chest and smiled, just as it started to rain harder.
"It looks like we had the same idea," Nya laughed, "I was coming to get flowers for you." The couple laughed together.
"We can share the water lilies," Jay proposed. Nya nodded in agreement, and they heard a crack of thunder in the distance.
"Three, two, one," Nya counted down before it began pouring. She just giggled in response. Her dark locks stuck to her face, and her slick ponytail began to come undone. Jay brushed one of his curls out of his eyes before he pulled her in for a Jaya kiss.
"Happy anniversary, Water Lily," he whispered to her.
