Epilogue
Third Person's POV
After the funeral things calmed down. The principal gave the students a week out of school. Kaitlin's parents got divorced a few week later and pursued their careers.
They realized that the only thing that kept them married was the daughter they neglected and she was gone now.
Maria moved out of her parents home and into James's apartment. The two had began dating and James helped her deal with her grief.
He made a promise to her that he would never ever leave her. He had decided that he would propose to her after they graduated.
He had long realized that she was it for him and that he would regret it if she left him. Michael's experience with Kaitlin had taught him that lesson.
Mason decided to pursue business and dropped out of school to work in his father's business company.
So far he was doing great and helping the company earn more money than they did.
Michael left the town after graduating high school. He cut off all connections with his family and friends.
He worked hard and built his own company. He had many branches all over the world and owned a lot of hotels that made millions in an hour.
He made sure that in the process of getting all his fame and wealth, he never forgot the love of his life. He fulfilled all her dreams for her.
He built orphanages around the world and sponsored scientists and doctors who looked for the cure of many diseases.
He built an organization which thrived and protected the children all over the world.
And through his years, he never ever found any one who could fill the hole Kaitlin had left. He remained faithful to her until his very last breathe.
Although there were times when the depression and grief overcame him, he always reminded himself that one day, just one day, he would be with her again.
Kaitlin's life wasn't meant to end the way it did. She was supposed to find love in her friends and family. She was supposed to feel wanted and important.
What happened to her had been an accident and he wished he could go back in time and reverse it. It was at times like these that he felt it.
He could still feel her presence. He could almost hear her voice but he knew it wasn't real. This was his punishment. He would live the rest of his life without her.
But it wasn't all that bad. As long as he had hope. Hope that one day, he would see her. And when he did, he promised to love her for all eternity.
She was a beauty that he had lost. And he promised himself that he would get her back. He would get the woman he loved back.
And he did love her. She was his cupcake. And who didn't love cupcake?
