Quick author's note
I am so sorry this took so long to upload I had no ideas on what I could do and I'm extremely sorry. The storyline will be finished in the next one or two parts. Each part is about this long. Also I'm obviously not a professional writer so please excuse any errors in any of my texts. Thx guys.

"Get up girls." Her sweet tone reaches my small bedroom and I drag myself out of bed. They let me keep Jesse, just as long as I keep him in my room and take complete care of him. One of the girls here is allergic to dogs, so that's the only reason. I don't exactly talk to the girls, they all go to the same school and hangout together but I asked if I could stay at my school. I'm perfectly happy though. The lady here, Kyla, is really nice and she cooks for us and we don't have to be out all the time and we can just sit around the house and be normal kids. There's set bedtimes and curfews for stuff, but in a way, it's good because it shows that she cares. I sit down at the breakfast table and Kyla places a plate of bacon and eggs in front of me.
"Thank you." I say as she pours juice in all of our glasses. She smiles at me. I look down at my silver charm bracelet, glistening in the sun.
I rinse and place my plate in the sink, before going back to my room to pack for school. As I'm walking to my room I grab my lunch bag, packed and ready to go. I step into my room and Jesse jumps up onto me. "Hey precious." I say to Jesse as if I'm talking to a baby. He licks my hand and I start packing for school. "I'll see you later little man." I say when I'm about to head off to school. I look up and Kyla is standing in the doorway. I blush and smile, clearly embarrassed to be caught talking to my dog. She gives me a reassuring smile until her face turns serious. "What's wrong?" I ask, confused.
"I got a call last night, they found your dad." My head snaps up. I don't know what he's like. God hope he's nothing like my mum. "How do I say this? I was told, that he doesn't think. Well he doesn't want to be the one to care for you. He said he doesn't deserve it." Pain spreads through my body and my throat clogs up. My own dad doesn't even want me. She says my pain and adds; "He did say he'd like to meet you though. What do you think?" I shake my head and walk out of the house as fast as I can to avoid her seeing me cry. She calls after me but I don't come back.
Olivia gives her usual greeting; a small smile, but I don't return it. She looks at me concerned. I wipe a tear stream off my face and walk to my locker. She follows.
"What's wrong?" She looks genuinely concerned, but she doesn't know anything, so if I tell her this, then I have to tell her my whole story. And I don't feel up to it. I sigh.
"Nothing." I lie. She gives me a look. She knows I'm lying. The bell goes and saves me. I walk off, books in my arms, to Olivia rolling her eyes.
"Copy down these equations and figure out the answers, I will be back in ten minutes. Do not make a noise." He says sternly. Just over thirty seconds after Mr Pridely walks out the door, the class erupts. Girls gossiping, guys fighting, and me, doodling in my book. Someone plays music and all the girls sing along, some getting up to dance. Mr Barnes storms up to the door and throws it open.
"SHUTUP!" He yells. The class goes silent. "Phones away and books open!" He looks to me and nods his head before he walks out. Nobody talks after that. They all stare at me.

I walk in the door to see Kyla with her heads in her hands. "Are you okay?" I ask quietly. She looks up and nods her head slightly, then looks into the lounge room. I cast my eyes over to where she's looking and see a man standing in front of the bookcase. He's wearing a grey business suit with a navy blue tie and black glossy derby shoes. His dark brown hair has been flicked back with hair product that shines off his hair in the light. He looks at me with sympathy.
"April?" He whispers. I stare for a brief while until some words finally manage to stumble out of my mouth.
"I- uh. Dad?" My eyes tear up and my head aches. After all this time he's come to see me. After he left me with that wicked woman that I was forced to call my mother. After I was erased from his life. He just stands there. He doesn't open his arms to me, he doesn't even smile. He just stands still, thinking of how to apologise to me.
"Look I couldn't-"
"Save it." I tell him. He looks hurt as I turn my back on him and walk to my room. Jesse jumps on top of me as I sit down on my bed. I change out of my uniform and start unpacking my school bag when there's a small knock on the door. I barely hear it but it's enough to startle me into looking who's behind the door. Jesse barks and I pick him up to hush him. "Go away" I say.
"I understand wh-" He starts. His voice is deep and raspy. I don't let him finish.
"No you don't understand. You left me with, with- whatever that monster of a woman is and then as soon as I try to find you, to forgive you, you completely throw me back in the deep. Do you know what that feels like?"
"There's a lot more to it than you know."
"Well then let's keep it that way because if you're not going to take me in than I don't want anything to do with you. Now go away."
"And if I am going to take you in?" His dark green eyes look into mine with complete remorse. He straightens out his suit and takes a step forward. Jesse gives a short, low growl.
"You already made your decision." I slip on my shoes, clip on Jesse's lead and shove past him.
