Nicholas's P.O.V

What the hell is wrong with you, man? What the fuck happened back there? What the hell was I about to do? Fuck, fuck, fuck! Thank God her phone rang or this would be a different story. Eli likes her and he's my best friend, I can't betray him like that. I just can't.

I blew out smoke from my mouth and threw the cigarette into a nearby bin. I threw a mint in my mouth right after. Damn, I bet it'll be really awkward the next time we meet just because I left. I do not like Alex. She's too dumb and naive and definitely not my type. When she acts stupid sometimes, I just want to grab her hair and shove an apple into her mouth to shut her up.

Sure ...Or you just want to grab her hair and kiss the hell out of her, my conscience spoke to me and I shook my head. No! I don't want to! No, no, no! It's not right.

I entered the house, using the house key and saw granny fast asleep on the couch. I smiled at the sight and walked up to her, slightly tapping her arm to wake her up.

"Granny" I called but she didn't move at all. "Granny, c'mon wake up!" I called again, slightly shaking her. There was no response. My smile dropped when I realized.

There was no rising and falling of her chest which means that she is not sleeping. I went into panic mode immediately. "Granny!!" I yelled and sat her up, placing her head on my lap. "Shit, no! Granny!!" I shook her vigorously.

"What the hell Nick?! Why are you yelling in the middle of the night?" I saw Zoey stick her head out of her room door, eyes red and puffy.

"It's granny, she's not waking up!" I said as I took the glass cup filled with water in the table.

"What? She's just sleeping" Zoey furrowed her eyebrows, closing the door behind her and walking towards me. She sat beside me and  shook granny. "Granny?" She called, her voice small. "Please wake up granny" her voice wavered with every word.

I scooped granny up in my arms and ran to the from door as Zoey eyes filled with tears. "Zoey! Grab some money and bring the house key" I called as I kicked the door close behind me and adjusted Granny's weight on my arms.

I begin to run to the junction immediately I saw Zoey locking the front door. She jogged after me as I ran. I hailed a cab immediately and we got in. "Please drive as fast as you can to the nearest hospital!!! This is an emergency!!" I barked at the driver and he begun to speed down the road.

I pulled my phone out of my now dried pants and dialed Eli's phone number. It rang a few times and he picked up. "Yo!" I heard Eli say from the phone.

"Eli!" I called, in relief "Meet me at..."I trailed off and found the top floor of an hospital showing from a distance. The name of the hospital glowed brightly on a board. "Meet me at Grace Hospital" I said urgently. The driver parked and I lifted my granny again out of the car with Zoey following me close behind.

"What's wrong?" Eli asked, suspecting that something was wrong.

"It's granny, meet me there. Bye" I said and hung up, shoving my phone in my pocket back. With granny in my arms, I yelled "Hey!!! Nurse!!! Please help!!!" I said, catching the attention of two nurses who brought a stroller and wheeled my granny away on it, leaving me in misery.

I shoved my fingers in my hair out of fear. Why does everyone keep leaving me? Why? If anything happens to her, I don't think I'll be able to handle it. I walked over to a bench and sat down, noticing Zoey sitting beside me as well.

"N-nick?" Zoey sobbed as he lips trembled. I glanced at her "W-will granny be fine?" She asked, with glassy eyes. I gulped.

"Yes" I answered, managing a smile. I entangled my fingers with hers " She'll be fine, I promise" I assured her. Honestly, I don't even know. I don't know if I'll ever see her again or if I'll ever hear her scold me again or if I'll ever get smacked by her again.

Zoey nodded and rested her head in my shoulder. I tapped my foot restlessly on the tiles floor, awaiting the arrival of Eli and Eddy. I was loosing all my patience. I lifted Zoey's head off my shoulder gently and placed it in the bench. She was already asleep. I went outside and brought out my back of cigarettes on my to realize that it was empty. I threw the pack into a bin out of anger.

"Hey man!" I heard Eli call from a distance. I looked up and saw Eddy, Nick and Alex with him. Oh shit.....Alex.

"What happened?" Eddy asked, as soon as they got to where I was standing. "Is Zoey okay?" He asked again.

"Zoey is fine" I answered. I glanced at Alex and found her staring at Eli. For some reason, that caused me to feel some sort of way. I looked back at Eddy.

"And your granny?" Eddy asked again as Eli stared at me, awaiting my response.

"She is inside. And Eli, I called you. Not Alex. So why is she here?"I said, not moving my gaze from Eli's.

"Oh. I just thought I should call her since we are all friends...." Eli said awkwardly. I felt Alex's gaze on me but I avoided it and begun to walk into the hospital.

"Let's wait in the waiting room" I called, looking over my shoulder. I could feel Alex burning her gaze on my back. We got to the waiting room and we all sat down. I saw Eddy frequently glancing at my sister's sleeping form as I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously. Eli nudged me lightly and I looked at him.

"She'll be fine" he assured, patting my shoulder. I gave him a small nod and felt someone squeeze my other shoulder comfortingly. I looked over to see Eddy smiling at me, I gave him a small smile in return. I glanced at Alex and saw her picking her nails and speaking to someone in the phone.

She eventually stood up and walked outside. I followed her. She didn't even realize I was following her. See? Jeez, what if I was a murderer or a kidnapper. I rolled my eyes.

"No! Ugh! Bex!! It didn't happen!! It almost did and I'm glad it didn't!- No! I- Mac and Cheese? Sure!- Yeah, Grace Hospital- Of course-Hurry up- Shut up!- Okay, now get out of my phone!!- Bex!!" And that were the things I heard. I never knew a conversation could be so mind-scattering. She hung up the phone and I saw her let out a deep breath.

"You're the boss!!! You can't let anyone intimidate you! Just ignore him!" She said to herself as I raised an eyebrow. Is she normal?

I decided to come out of hiding and at the same time, she turned around. And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the reason nurses gathered over here. Immediately she saw me, she let out a blood- curling scream, attracting the nurses.

"Sorry, false alarm. She was having a mental breakdown" I yelled and the nurses started going back to their work places, murmuring to each other. I turned back to face Alex who was red out of embarrassment and was glaring at me.

"I don't have any mental problems!" She glared at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Sure. I totally believe you" I said sarcastically. She scoffed and tucked one strand of hair that fell out from her ponytail.

"Rude much? You scared me! Why would you sneak up on me like that?!" She said huffing. I put my hands in my pocket and looked away from her gaze.

"I wanted to talk" I muttered. I looked back at her and she was looking everywhere but me.

"I don't know what you're talking about.." she said, still avoiding my gaze. Ugh! If she's going to be like this, how am I going to clear it that I'm not attracted to her? Damn, she's making this so hard!

"Stop playing dumb" I scoffed. "It's about what happened earlier-"

"Nothing happened so there's nothing to talk about, Nick!" she cut me off. Oh.

"Alex if-" I started, trying to explain to her that I don't have any feelings for her. I think so. I don't want to.

"Nick!" She snapped, meeting my gaze. I got lost in her blue eyes for a minute. "If anything had happened, it wouldn't mean anything to me and I'm sure it wouldn't mean anything to you as well so stop making this so complicated. I like Eli only okay?" She said, all in one breath. So if I kissed her now, it wouldn't mean anything? Oh. Okay, it doesn't matter. She's right Nick, get that into your skull!.

"Yeah. You're right" I said after some silence. I licked my lips and nodded at her before turning around, only to find Eli staring at the two of us. Oh fuck....

"What's going on here?" Confused Eli asked, looking between the two of us. Alex just turned redder than before.

"Uh..." Alex trailed off awkwardly. I smirked a little, enjoying the scene. All I need now is some popcorn to enjoy the show.

Alexandrea's P.O.V

Holy shit! No! No! I did not just do that! What will I do? What will I say? I hope he didn't hear the part that I confessed my feelings....oh Lord, why me? Ughh!

"What's going on here?" Eli asked and I stared at him. My face warmed up even more and I was sure I was the colour of a beetroot now.

"Uh....." I trailed off awkwardly. Way to go Alex, you just made things more awkward. I glanced at Nick and he was wearing a smirk. That little piece of shit is enjoying this, isn't he? He caused all this!

"Eli, Alex here just confessed that she is in love with you" I heard Nick say with a smirk as my eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

"What?! No! I mean, that's a lie! I don't like you!-"

"Oh" Eli cut me off, his face falling. Does that mean he likes me too? Oh God!! Nick, I swear-

"No! It's not that! I like you!" I tried to explain. Eli coughed nervously and scratched the back of his neck. Gosh...

"Right. I like you too" Eli smiled boyishly at me. Wait... He probably doesn't get that I like him more than a friend, does he? God, this is so awkward.

"No, no, I like you!" I said again, trying to explain myself. Eli's cheeks turned a bright pink as he walked closer.

"I like you too! I heard you earlier!" He flicked my nose, making me wiggle it. I don't think he gets it. He starts moving closer to me and I close my eyes for the impact. Finally going to get a kiss from my crush!!! OMG!!

I felt arms wrap itself around me and I frowned. A hug? I opened my eyes to find Eli hugging me. Whoa, I wasn't expecting that... Wait! He probably thinks I'm not ready, he's such a gentleman. Aww.

We heard a slow clap and I rolled my eyes, already knowing who it is. We untangled from the embrace and faced a straight-faced Nick.

"Would you like to get married here as well?" He snickered and I rolled my eyes again. "I can't believe you both made me watch all.....that" he gagged as Eli playfully punched him.

"Shut up dude!" Eli said. Nick sighed and then looked at me.

"Congratulations dummy" He nodded and I rolled my eyes but smiled at him.

"Now if you'd excuse me, I'd like to go back inside and wait for-"

"Mr Hunter?" We heard a female voice call, making us turn around to the source.

"Yes" Nick answered. The doctor adjusted her coat and smiled.

"I would like to have a few words with you. Alone" She smiled wider. She is beautiful and young, I must admit.

"How's granny?" Nick asked, not moving from his spot.

"She's doing pretty good. She just needs a little rest. It's good you brought her here earlier." The doctor said and Nick nodded in relief.

"Thank you, Doctor" I said, smiling. I'm really glad she's okay.

"It's my pleasure" she smiled at me. "Mr Hunter?" She said, diverting her gaze back to Nick. Nick nodded, and followed her to her office.

I turned around with a cheesy smile to face Eli. "Hey" I said.

"Hi" he tucked my lose strand of hair behind my ear and kissed my nose, making me blush.

"So...what does this make us?" I asked, curiously.

"Whatever you want, babe" he answered politely and I blushed again at the nickname.

"Okay. Let's head back inside" I said and he nodded. He put his arm over my shoulder, holding me close as we walked to the waiting room.

However, we saw something we have been waiting for to happen for years! Eddy and Zoey sprung apart as they saw us, turning red immediately.

"Oh um...Alex hi!" Zoey said, adjusting her hair by patting it frequently. Eddy was doing the same. But, their red lips and swollen, already told the story of what happened.

"Hello" I answered mischievously, glancing at Eli and winking at him. "I can see you are doing very fine" I added, making Eli let out a chuckle and my ship, blush more.

"I am" Zoey answered quickly. Eddy, was looking everywhere but us.

"So how was the make out session? Did you do it how I thought you?" Eli smirked making Eddy choke on his saliva and Zoey turn to a tomato as I burst into laughter.

Nick came into the room with his hands in his pocket as he gave all of a suspecting gaze. He's probably wondering why we are all red. "Um..did I miss something?" He asked confusedly, making all of us burst into laughter.
