Alexandrea's P.O.V

"Hi there! We're here to see Lucas Grayson?" Bex smiled politely at the nurse who was busy checking Eli out. I don't think Eli noticed because his eyes are glued to the phone.

"Um hello?" Bex said as all her politeness flew out the window.

"What?" The nurse said as she glared at Bex probably because she interrupted her moment with Eli.

"We want to see Lucas Grayson, that's what!!" Bex retorted inching closer to the nurse as I held her back with my hand on her wrist.

"Room 27D" she rolled her eyes and dropped the keys. I took it and eyed her painted face. How is she even comfortable with that?

"Tone it down on the make-up, would ya? It makes you look like clown" Bex voiced my thoughts eyeing her bright pink lipstick with disgust. She gasped and rolled her eyes at Bex.

"And.." I trailed off glancing at her name tag "Jane? Pink doesn't suit you, At. All" I added before we started walking down the hall of the hospital. I smiled warmly at a girl on a wheelchair that was staring at me and she blushed and smiled back as I walked with Bex and Eli. Bex was quiet which is unusual and Eli was still on his phone.

"Hey! You okay" I nudged Bex and she flinched a little.

"Yeah. I'm good" she smiled at me. I could tell she was nervous by the way she played with her fingers.

"It's okay. He'll be fine" I smiled at her and she nodded at me smiling back.

We got in front of the room and Eli shoved his phone in the pocket of his jeans with a frown. I went on my toes and used my index fingers to stretch the corners of his mouth upwards. He gave me a confused look and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Learn to smile" I said and he rolled his eyes and plastered a fake smile on his face giving me a look that says 'satisfied?' God! He's cute!, Wait what?

"Perfect" I smiled and poked his dimple. Bex opened the door and we all entered as Eli closed it. Luke laid on the bed but he shot up as soon as he saw us. Or maybe Bex.

"Bex!" He said, his eyes fixed to my best friend and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Hello? We came too since it's only Bex you can see" I said and we walked towards him.

"Alex, Eli" he nodded.

"How are you doing man?" Eli said as Bex sat beside him unable to wipe that smile on her face off.

"I'm a little messed up but I'm okay now" he said looking at Eli and grinning.

"Hi" Bex said placing her hand on his.

"Hello" he said looking at her. I watched the two of them stared at each other.

"Just kiss already" I groaned and the two of them quickly looked away and blushed. I rolled my eyes at them and saw Eli on his phone again. I walked over to him and took the phone from his hands then shoved it in the pocket of my jeans.

"Hey! Give it back" he almost yelled.

"No!" I shrugged and he moved towards me. I glanced at Bex and Luke and they were talking in hushed tones.

"Should we give you guys privacy? Again?" I teased looking at Bex.

"No! It's okay, you can stay" she blushed glaring at me.

"No it's fine, we can leave just don't do anything....not PG" I winked at Bex and left the room pulling Eli with me. I faintly heard her say something but I didn't pay attention so I closed the door.

"You didn't have to leave you know?" Eli said looking at me as we stood by the side in the hallway.

"I had to, so my ship will sail" I said looking across the hall for the girl I saw the other time.

"Oh, okay" he said and noticed I was looking around. "What are you looking for?" He asked.

"Nothing. So what happened to Luke's parents?" I asked changing the subject.

"His parents are..... irresponsible" he said frowning.

"Why? What happened?"

"Luke's Mom died while giving birth to him and his father became workaholic since then. He eventually decided to get married again after some years. He got married to a bitch who cares about nothing but herself" he ended looking away and frowning.

"Oh! Wow!" I said not knowing what to say.

"Yeah, Luke's dad doesn't notice any of the arguments between Luke and his step mom because he's 'busy' " he said.

"I agree, they're irresponsible" I nodded.

"What about you? Your parents?" He asked bringing me to a shock.

"I- uh you first" I manage to choke out.

His face darkened then it turned blank " My dad is a man that has his main focus as his business and my mom is too busy trying to mold my sister into a model, for their reputation" he said.

"Reputation? " I asked confused.

"Yeah, you know since he owns Perkins and Co." He shrugged like it was no big deal while my eyes almost bulge out of their sockets. If you have Bex as a best friend, you would have an update everyday.

"Cool" I muttered but inside I was jumping. Omg!!! I'm friends with the son of a billionaire!!! A cute one! Shit! What's wrong with me?

"Um...okay" he said giving me a look.

"What?" I asked when I noticed him looking at me.

"Nothing, I just expected more. I mean you're talking to the son of a billionaire" he said jokingly and I shrugged. Then, we decided to enter the room back after I knocked.

"Oh! Alex! Uh..um.. you're still here" Bex said breathlessly with swollen lips, looking flushed and I grinned widely after I figured out what just happened.

"Yes and I think we interrupted a moment" Eli added beside me. Luke glared at him looking flushed as well with swollen lips.

"Well, Bex! You can take my car and please DO NOT do the deed in my car" I said looking at Luke and tossing Bex the keys of the room and my car.

"What? We won't. I swear" he said as his face got redder.

"Okay, well...bye" I said as we got out and closed the door. I glanced at Eli and saw his phone in his hands.

"Wha- when did you take it?" I asked, surprised. He shrugged and started walking ahead of me. We continued walking till we got to the reception where the nurse was and immediately she saw us coming, she straightened up and pushed her chest out. She quickly applied more of the bright pink lipstick.

"The keys?" She asked rudely looking at me.

"The third person is still with him so the keys are with her" I explained ignoring her rudeness.

"Whatever. So what your name hottie?" She asked Eli leaning towards him with a flirty smile. Eli looked up and raised an eyebrow. I really want to slap that smile off her face.

"Eli! Is that part of your job?" He asked shoving his phone in his pocket again.

"Mm, what a hot name! I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out?" She asked biting her lower lip as she didn't realize her lipstick already stained her teeth. Doesn't this bitch know when to stop?

"No thanks!" Eli said pulling me as we were about to leave. I was about to thank God but she stopped us again.

"Can I at least have your number?" She asked again. She was getting on my nerves already.

"No! He's taken!" I said frustrated and pulled him with me as we walked out of the hospital.

"Possessive now, are we?" Eli joked as we walked towards his car.

"I just saved you" I rolled my eyes at him. Did you? My conscience asked and I shrugged it away.

"I didn't want you to, I was enjoying the jealous look on your face" he smirked and opened the door for me as I slid in.

"Jealous? " I pouted, maybe a little...wait what? I wasn't jealous.

" Relax! I was just joking" he laughed from beside me and started driving. I smiled a little and thought was I actually jealous? I don't think so. Maybe I was because she was getting on my nerves but that doesn't mean I like him right?

"What are you thinking about?" He asked as he took a quick glance at me as he drove and I blushed. I freaking blushed. There's definitely something wrong with me.

"School and stuff" I lied silently praying that he didn't notice the blush. I was wearing the sweater my grandma gave me today with a pair of faded blue jeans and sneakers. The sweater is really old but I can't just replace it. It means a lot and it's part of what keeps me going.

"Okay" he said as he took another glance at me. I looked outside the glass and noticed we were not going home.

"Eli....this is not the way home" I said looking at him.

"Oh, I didn't realize" he replied sarcastically and I hit him with my elbow.

"I'm serious, where are we going?" I asked panicking a little.

"Calm down! It's a surprise!" He smiled making me want to poke his dimples again.

"I don't like surprises!" I muttered as I remembered the last surprise I had.

"Princess! Close your eyes, I have a surprise for you" my dad said and I get my heart beat faster out of fear. As usual, my mom was still at 'work' and I certainly back from school minutes ago. I turned around and I found him smiling like a maniac with his hands behind his back.

"I said close your eyes!" He yelled angrily and I quickly shut them making the tears roll down from my eyes.

"Open!" He said and I opened them to meet handcuffs and a new ironing machine. I gasped and the tears begin the roll down my face.

"Please, don't do this please" I whimpered. He only grinned and tore the ironing machine from it wrapper then took the handcuffs walking closer to me.

"Come here princess" he said as he plugged the ironing machine to a socket.

"No! Please" I sobbed and he grabbed me by my hair and pulled me towards him. I screamed as he lifted the hot ironing machine.

"Shut up!" He yelled and placed the machine on my back. I could feel it eating my skin as I let out a-

"Alex!" Eli shook me and I broke from my trance to look at him. I realized we were parked at some park.

"You were crying, what's wrong?" He asked as he wiped my tears with his index fingers.

"Nothing" I whimpered as I felt the scar of that day begin to ache me.

"Are you sure because it doesn't seem like nothing to me" he said looking worried and I felt a flip in my stomach.

"I don't wanna talk about it" I said looking down. He nodded and got down from the car. He walked around it and opened the door for me. I got out and remembered Nick. He would never open the door for me.

"A park?" I said as we walked further into the park.

"Yep" he said and I grinned. I ran over to one of the swings and sat on it.

"Push me" I smile like a child and he rolled his eyes and sat on the swing beside me.

"Push yourself" he said as he started moving on it. I copied his movement because I had no idea how to do it and soon I was swinging back and forth.

"Yes!!" I screamed in that air and Eli chuckled slowing down.

"Why'd you stop?" I asked still swinging when I noticed he was no longer swinging.

"The string of the swing is not that strong, it might break" he explained.

"But what if it doesn't?"

"What if it does?"

"What if it doesn't? Just keep on swinging, have fun" I said grinning as I kept on swinging higher and higher. He shrugged and sat back on the swing then started swinging.

I yelled as Eli and I swung higher and higher. I have no idea why I was yelling, I was just doing it.

I stopped swinging my legs after I heard a sound. It was from the metal stand holding the swing and I glance at Eli.

We heard it again and we both begun to slow down by now.

"Eli I think it's about to-" I screamed as I was cut off when metal string holding the swing cut sending both Eli and I in the air before landing on the ground.

"Fuck" Eli groaned as I landed on him. I rolled off him hurriedly and lay beside him as I tired to hide the blush on my face. The reason I was blushing? I don't know.

We glanced at each other and we broke into laughter. As I laughed, I realized the sky was darkening amd it was getting late. I stood up and started dusting my jeans before Eli pulled me down beside him again.

"What is wrong with you?" I said after he pulled me down.

"Let's stay like this for a while" he said as he stared at the sky. I shrugged and laid down beside him.

"You never told me about your parents" he suddenly said and I tensed up beside him. I took a deep breath and she started.

" My mom is an accountant for a supermarket a few miles away from here and I don't have a dad" I said keeping it as normal and simple as possible.

"Hm..okay" he said.

"We should leave, it's getting dark" I suggested getting uncomfortable because of what he just asked me.

"Alright" he stood up sensing my discomfort. We walked towards his car a after dusting our clothes. He started driving and Sucker by Jonas Brothers. I grinned and started singing my lungs out.

"Say the word and I'll go anywhere blindly, I'm a sucker you, yeah" I sang while Eli shot me an amused look.

"C'mon sing!" I nudged him " I've been dancing on top of cars and stumbling out of bars, I follow you through the dark can't get enough!"

"You're the medicine and the pain, the tattoo inside my brain and baby I know it's obvious, I'm a sucker for you" Eli sang and my jaw dropped. I know I told him to sing but his voice was what surprised me. It was not perfect but it was sure as hell better than mine.

"You can sing?" I asked and he shrugged.

"Maybe"

"What? Why didn't you tell me?" I yelled smiling and he shrugged again smiling back. We got to my place a few minutes later and I didn't want to get down but I had to anyway.

"Thanks, I really had fun" I smiled at Eli who nodded and smiled back. He got down from the car and jogged over to my side to open the door for me.

"Thank you! Bye" I said as I got down and he pulled me into a warm hug then whispered bye in my ear.

He got into his car and drive off while I stood there blushing. Oh God! This is bad!

I entered the house and met my mom making dinner. I don't like getting mad at my mom so I decided to talk to her.

"Hey Mom!" I pecked her cheek and she froze giving me a surprised look. She probably wasn't expecting that. I left her and walked up the stairs so I can call Bex.

I pulled off my sweater and lay on the bed dialing Bex's number. She picked it after two rings as usual.

"Hello" she answered.

"Bex? There's a problem" I said, panicking as I played with my sheets.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?"

"I'm not! I think I like Eli"
