Alexandrea's P.O.V

I woke up early like every other day, breathing heavily and sweating due to the nightmares. I took a cold shower and put on a black hoodie with yellow sweats.

Okay maybe my fashion sense is not that good.

I took my phone and car key and headed out of the house. The moon was still bright and shining which made me fish out on my phone and check the time.

2:14am.

I shrugged and got in my car dropping my phone on the passenger seat. I parked my car a little further away from the shore and removed my flip-flops leaving them in the car and letting the smooth beach sand bury my feet. I rolled my yellow sweats a little above my knee and started walking towards the water. The blue water sparkled as the moon shone brightly on it. The sight was so beautiful a smile crept up on my face.

Something about this place just calms me down and makes me forget. I flinched a little as the cold water touched my feet before retreating packing some particles of sand with it. I walked deeper into the water as the waves moved back and forth beneath me. When the water started getting the tip of my sweats wet I decided to stop there. I closed my eyes and inhaled the salty air.

"I feel as if you are following me" a familiar raspy voice startled me and I fell in the water.

Holy shit!!

"Hey! Help!!" I yelled swinging my arms and legs as the salty water entered my mouth. My eyes stung and I felt the water enter my eyes. I couldn't see properly. I was about to yell again but I was plunged deeper into the ocean by a large wave.

This is the end. I'm going to die.

I don't want to die. I've not completed my bucket list and who will take care of Mom. Who will keep Bex sane.

I thought as I felt the water entering every part of my body. Well.. I guess this is it. Bubbles erupted from a distance as I saw a figure swim towards me.

That's probably the angel of death.

The figure became clearer as the angel of death swims closer.

Damn, he's is hot!

I saw a flash of deep green eyes and black hair before my eyes closed. I could still feel my surrounding and my body pressed tightly against something hard. I felt myself being lifted after sometime.

Am I flying?

Water filled my lungs and my body was released and placed on a smooth surface. Something pressed my chest and the water was about to come out of my mouth but then it retreated. I felt something soft against my lips as if trying to breathe air into me. Then the water in my lungs rose up to my throat and I coughed it out then breathed in as much air as I could.

"Alex?" A familiar voice said as my eyes flipped open to meet a pair of green ones.

I'm alive?

"Arghh..my eyes sting" my voice came out hoarse as I tried to sit up.

"I saved your life and the first thing you can do is whine" Nicholas said and I noticed he was soaked which made his dark blue shirt cling to his body making it easy for me to see the online of his abs. Alex..focus!

What was he saying?

"Huh?" I asked but he shook his head making me realize he caught me checking him out and I turned red.

"I know I'm hot and all that but don't you think I deserve a thank you for saving your life?" He smirked cockily.

"You made me fall into the water so you didn't save my life" I rolled my eyes and stood up walking back towards my car then shivering a little because of the slight breeze. My head hurts so bad.

"It's not my fault you are so jumpy" he defended as he walked beside me.

"You don't sneak up on someone like that,I could have died. I even thought your some hot ass angel coming for my soul" I muttered the last part.

"You think I'm hot huh?" He smirked.

"That's not the point" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Okay fine! So did you get into an accident or something?" He asked nonchalantly.

"What?" What is he talking about?

"The scar in your abdomen. Was it an accident?" He asked again as we stopped by my car. Somehow his car is parked a few miles away from mine.

"It's none of your business"I almost growled out. The question made tears want to stream out but I won't cry. It's all in the past. He is never coming back.

"Oh! You're right it's none of my business! Why should I care anyway?" He said as his face turned blank with an emotionless tone and suddenly I felt bad. He doesn't know so I shouldn't have been so hard on him.

"Hey I'm-"

"No! It's your problem not mine." He said with no emotion lacing his voice as he turned and walked back to his car. I stood there and watched his car zoom off.

Was I too harsh? I mean he's right,it's none of his business.

Okay now I'm being a bitch. I guess I'll apologize on Monday.

I sigh as I got into my car and drive off as well. It's still early so mum was still asleep.

I showered again and eventually I started coughing and sneezing.

My hair felt like it was filled with tiny stones while my mouth tasted like salt. I made hot tea and snuggled up in my bed with a novel.
I finished the tea minutes later and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. My mum worked all the time so I decided to give her breakfast in bed.

I flipped the pancakes in the large fry pan and served it with orange juice which was my mom's favorite. I took the tray of food and knocked on her door. There was no answer so she probably still sleeping. I opened the door and poked my head in her room. She stirred a little in her sleep and I tiptoed to the desk beside her bed. I dropped the tray of food and sat on the edge of her bed waking her softly.

"Alex?" My mom said as she woke up. She scanned the room and her eyes landed on the food on her desk. She grinned at me and hugged me slightly then she stood up to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She came out minutes later and plopped down on the chair immediately diving into her food.

"Mmm, this is really good" she moaned as she took the first bite.

"Duh, what do you expect, I made it" I bragged playfully standing up and preparing to leave her room.

"Cocky much?" She are he'd an eyebrow at me playfully and I laughed leaving her room.

I ate my breakfast and sat in the parlor flicking through the channels. After some hours my phone buzzed by my side and I picked it to see that it was Bex. The event of yesterday rushed back to me.

P.S I'm not asking and wear some clothes.

I rolled my eyes at last part of the text.I rushed up the stairs and looked for something simple and casual. If I don't go, she'll probably murder me. A few minutes later she sent the address while I was dressing up.

(Alex's outfit)

Grabbing my car keys I went back to the room to see my mom in her reading glasses and scattered sheets of paper.

"Mom, I'm heading out" I said leaning by the door.

"Where?" Her eyes snapped up to meet mine.

"I'm meeting up at a cafe with Bex" i said.

"You know you don't have to lie to me if you want to meet up with that cute boy that dropped you the other day" she teased and smiling at me.

"No! Mom!! It's just Bex" I whined as my cheeks burned up while she laughed. Her blue eyes twinkled which made her more beautiful. I had blue eyes too but not her kind.

I really miss her laughter. It's been so long since I saw a genuine smile on her face.

"Okay then. Don't stay long" she said as I nodded and left the house. I put my hair in a ponytail without brushing it and hopped in my car. I arrived at the cafe and my eyes scanned everywhere until I saw her. Her cloth looks really cute on her.

I walked over to the table she was sitting and stopped in my tracks when I saw Nicholas. And his friends of course. Zoey came along this time and she was busy talking to Bex.

I walked to the table and all eyes were on me. Except Nicholas's. I took a deep breath and smiled as greetings were thrown my way. Bex scanned my dressing and shook her head. I ignored her and sat beside her. Immediately the boys finished greeting me, they continued their own discussion.

"I told you to wear clothes"she complained glaring at me.

Oh! she forgot what happened yesterday?

I ignored her and stole one of her chips.

"Hi Zoey, I'm Alex" I smiled. Bex frowned and a guilty look suddenly appears on he face. Zoey doesn't look bad as well.

(Zoey's outfit)

Now she remembers

"Hello, Bex has told me so much about you. We are definitely gonna be besties " she squealed while I gave her a concerned look. She looks like someone that is always happy.

"Uh..yeah sure" I said.

"Alex..uh how was your night?" Bex said guiltily. I ignored her and started listening to Zoey's continuous rambling.

"Alex, I'm sorry"Bex said again which caught the attention of the boys. Even Zoey stopped rambling.

"What happened to being best friends? You just chose the Andy dude over me. What happened the Chicks Before Dicks?" I said at her.

"What's Chicks Before Dicks?" Edward, the third guy asked. I was surprised because I've never talked to him.

"I know! I'm so ashamed and I'm a complete bitch for that. I'm sorry" she said looking apologetic. I sighed and looked at her contemplating if I should forgive her or let her beg more.

"I'll pay for your food because you're my best friend and I love you so damn much just please forgive me" she said and I grinned immediately. Who would want to turn down free food?

"Okay but don't do it again. I love you okay?" I said and she smiled and nodded squeezing me in one of her hugs again. She pulled bag and four pairs of eyes were staring at us. Yes, including Nicholas.

"What?" Bex said as they held amused looks.

"That was so touching" Edward said wiping a tear from his eye.

Is he crying?

"Are you crying?" I asked.

"You guys are just too cute"he defended." Why can't we be like that?" He nudged Eli. Eli gave him a death glare and he decided to shut up.

"Ew, you make it sound like we are dating" Bex said as she stood up to order what I want.

"How will she know what you want?" Zoey asked referring to Bex.

"She knows what I like" I shrugged as I stole another chips from Bex's plate.

I know I've eaten breakfast but that was like two hours ago. Don't blame me, I'm always hungry.

Edward continued talking with Zoey who kept hitting him and Eli who was paying attention while I kept stealing glances at Nicholas who was focused on his phone. Bex came back and a few minutes later a cute waiter served my roasted turkey breast sandwich along with lemon juice.

Yup! I love lemon juice.

The cute waiter flashed us a smile and winked at Bex and Zoey which were busy staring at him. And me, well I was staring at my food. I noticed Edward fist clench when the waiter winked at Zoey which made me curious.

Ooo he likes her.

I hit his leg under the table and he gave me a confused look. I wiggled my eyebrows at him and he rolled his eyes while his cheek turned a bright pink. I made sure no one saw us and continues stuffing my face with food.

Until I sneezed.

"You have a cold?" Bex says as she felt my temparature and putting her palm on my forehead.

"Uh yeah" I said as I glanced at Nicholas and he was already looking at me.

"How?" She asked me. All the eyes on the table were looking at me expectantly.

"I was daydreaming in the rain" I shrugged and I caught Nicholas hiding a smile.
