Chapter 6
Weeks later.....
Doug saw Evie near her locker in the hallway. He walked over to her.
"Evie," Doug said holding out a letter. Evie just shut her locker and walked away. Doug sighed.
"Something wrong Doug?" Mal asked walking over to him seeing what just happened.
"What's wrong with Evie?" he asked watching Evie disappear down the hall.
"Oh, I don't know.... Maybe that you broke up with her, or maybe it's because you're leaving for college early, or maybe it's because-"
"I get it Mal," Doug rolled his eyes.
"Then why are you so surprised that she's ignoring you?"
"I just thought she'd forgive me..."
"Yeah, good luck with that," Mal rolled her eyes and started to walk away.
"Wait, Mal," Doug said. Mal turned back around as Doug held out the letter. "Can you give this to Evie?"
"I would... But you messed it up, now you have to fix it," Mal said before she turned back around and walked away, leaving Doug in the hallway. Even though there were students all around him, he felt alone. Before leaving, he slipped the letter into Evie's locker, then went to his dorm.

Evie couldn't believe it. Weeks after they broke it off, he was trying to talk to her again. She could act like a normal, calm human being and say hi to him, but what's the fun in that. Besides, she's still way too angry at him for going to that college.
She walked to her dorm and slammed the door, groaning as she fell onto her bed.
"Why?" She asked herself as she stared at the ceiling.
"Why what?" Mal asked.
"Ah!" Evie jumped and looked to find her friend sitting quietly in the corner of their room. "Wow, creepy much?"
"Evie, I want to know. Why what?" Mal asked standing up.
"I don't know," Evie shook her head.
"Yes you do. You and I both know that you're still in love with Doug," Mal said crossing her arms.
"No I'm not M," Evie said pouting slightly. Mal just nodded as they heard a knock on the door.
(Get ready for a plot twist!)
"I'll get it," Evie said standing up. She walked over to the door and opened it to find Chad Charming standing there. (Yup, you know what's coming.) "Chad?"
"Hey Evie. So, since you and Doug broke up a couple weeks ago, I was wondering if you waned to go out with me?" Chad asked holding out flowers.
"Ummm," Evie said looking around. "Give me a second," she said and closed the door. She turned to face Mal, biting her lip.
"Evie! You can't be seriously considering this!" Mal said surprised her best friend was thinking about it.
"Of course I'm considering it. I mean, I'm single right?" Evie asked.
"You don't even like Chad. Evie, you're still in love with Doug!" Mal said.
"Stop it Mal! You don't know that! Stop trying to tell me how I'm feeling! You don't know anything about how I'm feeling!" Evie said angrily. Mal backed off a little.
"Please just think about what you're doing," Mal said.
"I have," Evie said taking a deep breath before opening the door again. She looked at Chad and smiled. "Of course I'll go out with you."
Mal's eyes widened. What just happened?
