Hey guys :) sorry for not doing anything appledash for a while. Catradora practically owns my heart right now, but here's something :)

Rainbow Dash groaned as she practically fell into the home. She shivered, pulling her winter hat off her head. She closed the front door with her ass, her arms occupied with the multiple grocery bags. Standing there for a moment, Rainbow let the warmth of the house wrap around her shivering body. Rainbow dumped the bags of groceries onto the floor.

"It's freezing outside!" She shouted, knowing her girlfriend was home.

Rainbow heard someone coming into the foyer.

"It's a snowstorm, babe. Of course it's cold."

Rainbow rolled her eyes, smirking. She turned around, seeing Applejack standing in the doorway, arms crossed and a smile on her face.

"You got everythin'?" AJ asked, pointing at the bags.

Rainbow nodded.

"Yeah. There's more bags in the car. Can you take these to the kitchen?"

Applejack nodded in the affirmative, moving to transfer the groceries. Rainbow went to get the rest. Once everything was in the kitchen, Rainbow sighed in relief.

"Thank the gods." She groaned. "I can't feel my fingers."

Applejack, who was busy storing the groceries away, looked at the shorter girl. Rainbow tried to wiggle her fingers, but they were stiff from the cold.

"Go take those boots and coat off. They're soaked from the snow." AJ told Rainbow.

Rainbow nodded, walking out of the room to gladly do as told. AJ took care of the groceries.
Once she finished her task, she went to go find her girlfriend. She found Rainbow in the foyer, placing her wet winter clothes by the heater to dry. Rainbow's nose and fingers were pink from the winter cold. There was a snowstorm that day and of course, the couple had forgotten to go food shopping. So, Rainbow, being the only one of the two who didn't have online class that day, was the one to go to the grocery store before the storm got bad.

Applejack had just logged off her computer when Rainbow came home.

Applejack watched Rainbow shiver and rub her icy hands together.

"Damn weather." Rainbow muttered, unhappily. "Trying to fucking freeze me to death."

AJ snorted in amusement. Rainbow looked her way. She shuffled towards AJ.

"Cold." She complained.

AJ let Rainbow snuggle against her body, her hands bunching up the baggy sweater AJ was wearing in an attempt to warm up. Applejack smiled, comfortingly running her fingers through Rainbow's damp hair.

"How 'bout I run ya a nice, warm bath and then we can have some hot cocoa n' snuggle on the couch?"

Rainbow perked up at the idea. She smiled brightly.

"Awesome idea." She agreed, resting her head on Applejack's shoulder. "You're too good for me."

Applejack pressed a kiss to RD's cold skin.

"No. Ah'm just payin' ya back for goin' out in that snow by yourself."

Slipping her hand into Rainbow's, Applejack led her up to the bathroom. Once the bathtub was filled, the two young women stripped and got into the large bath. Rainbow sighed in relief.

Nothing like a hot bath to thaw yourself out after being out in the snow. Rainbow smiled contently, leaning back against AJ's chest.

"I can finally feel my fingers and toes again." She commented.

She lifted her hands out of the water and wiggled her fingers. Only a little stiff and had a burning sensation from thawing. Rainbow winced, plopping her hands back in the soothing water. She leaned her head back, looking back at Applejack.

"Thanks for this, babe." She said, earnestly. "You're the best girlfriend ever."

AJ giggled, wrapping her muscular arms around her Rainbow's waist. She pecked Rainbow on the neck.

"No problem, RD. Ah like spoilin' ya."

The two sat there for a while, just enjoying the quiet moment. When they finally decided to bathe, they quickly bathed and then got out. Rainbow and AJ changed into warm pajamas. While Rainbow found something to watch on the living room TV, Applejack prepared two mugs of hot chocolate. AJ carried the mugs into the living room, humming to herself. She spotted Rainbow Dash sitting cross-legged on the sofa, flicking through the TV channels.

AJ walked over to the sofa, setting the mugs down on the coffee table. The smell of chocolate got Rainbow's attention. She beamed in excitement.

"Ooh chocolate!"

When she went to grab her mug, Applejack gently slapped her hand.

"It's right outta the microwave. It's too hot right now."

Rainbow pouted, glaring glumly at her lover. She sighed dramatically and turned back to the TV. She finally found a movie she liked. Placing the remote control on the coffee table, Rainbow  turned to Applejack, holding her arms out. Applejack looked back at her. She smiled, realizing what Rainbow had in mind. Applejack  got comfortable, lying down on her back, her head on a pillow. Rainbow laid on top of her, her head on AJ's chest, her hips between the blonde's thighs.

Rainbow sighed, feeling herself immediately relaxing in Applejack's arms. She closed her eyes when fingers ran through her hair.

"I love you, AJ." She spoke up, her voice soft.

Applejack felt her heart flutter. Rainbow was not one to show her soft side to everyone, her insecurities keeping her sweet and sensitive self locked up inside. Only certain people would ever get the chance to see this side of the spunky young woman. Applejack was honored to be one of those people.

"Ah love you too, baby." AJ replied. "Feel comfortable?"

AJ could feel Rainbow Dash nodding her head against her chest, the rainbow-colored locks tickling her chin lightly. Applejack chuckled. She stopped playing with the long hair, and wrapped her arms around Rainbow, slowly rubbing her younger's girlfriend's back. The atmosphere was very soothing. The quiet tv going on, the warmth of each other's body heat and the fireplace roaring nearby.

The perfect place for a nap. That's exactly what they did, snuggled up together, nice and warm.

So yeah. Lemme know what you think :) since I've started writing Catradora fanfics, I've started writing more mature content on ao3 since most writers on here aren't mature enough for that stuff, especially a lot of the mlp fandom on Wattpad.
