The hybrids i call family part 2

Enjoy :)

Applejack pushed open the front door. She walked, carrying a shivering Rainbow Dash. She was glad to feel the safety and warmth of her home.

"Here we are." She announced.

Rainbow lifted her head off of Applejack's shoulder. She looked around. The home was big. Really big. High ceiling, tiled floor.

"Ooooooh. Wow. Are you rich or something?."

Applejack used her foot to shut the door.

"Ah guess so. Ah like to say that Ah'm fortunate enough ta afford this. You wanna take a bath first??"

Rainbow shrugged.

"Whatever you want."

Applejack carried Rainbow Dash upstairs. Rainbow got a good look at everything as they passed through the home. Chandeliers, marble pillars, expensive looking paintings, amazing but comfortable looking furniture, large, open rooms. Carpeted staircase with a marble banister/railing. Applejack carried her up into the bathroom. She put her down so she could flick on the light. Once the light was on, Rainbow took a look around. Her mouth dropped.

The bathroom was huge. It was covered in tan colored tiles. There was so much space. Rainbow could run around and not knock into anything, without even trying. There was a vanity with a chair, pillars. The bathtub was a marble staircase leading up to it, pillars surrounding it. The tub was huge. It was white. The faucet was gold. Towels were hung around it. Rainbow turned her head. She saw a shower on the other side. The glass door was quite obvious. The door was blurry so you couldn't see inside. That was good. It was pretty big, too.

"Wow."

Applejack looked at her. She smiled.

"You like it?"

Rainbow nodded. Applejack slid off her coat. She took off her winter attire and boots, putting them out of the way. She stretched her arms.

"Ok. Do you need help undressin?" She asked.

Rainbow Dash blushed lightly. She nodded.

Applejack helped her undress, taking off her shoes and socks, putting to the side. She then slid of Rainbow's hoodie then shirt. She gasped when she saw Rainbow's body. She was super skinny, underweight and boney. The poor thing was starved half to death. Applejack's eyes rained over where Rainbow's eyes were prominent, poking out noticeably. She felt sympathy for the hybrid girl.

"Oh my god." She whispered. "Rainbow. You're skin n' bones."

Rainbow looked down at the floor, embarrassed. Applejack helped her get out of her pants. She put the dirty clothes in a pile. She planned on throwing them away and getting Rainbow new clothes later.

Rainbow took off her underwear and bra. Applejack got a towel for her to use.

"Do ya wanna take a bath or a shower??" She asked.

Rainbow shrugged.

"Both of them sound great to me."

Applejack remembered that Rainbow was homeless, and probably hadn't bathed or showered in a while. The horrible smell that came from Rainbow's clothes while she was undressing her confirmed that theory. Applejack smiled.

"Well, ah don't want cha ya have ya stand fir very long. Ah'll be right back. Ah need ya call a friend of mine."

Rainbow nodded, wrapping the towel around her naked body. Applejack turned and walked out of the bathroom. She took her phone out of her back pocket, stepping out. She kept the door slightly open, so she could hear if anything happened.

Applejack looked through her contacts and clicked on one. She pressed the phone to her ear, listening to it ring. A few seconds later, it was answered.

"Applejack. Hi." Came the sweet and soft voice of her friend Fluttershy.

Applejack smiled.

"Howdy, Fluttershy." She said. "How's it goin?"

"Oh, I'm good, thank you. And you?"

Applejack wasn't sure how she was. Many emotions flowed through her like a storm.

"Um... I'm good, I think. Listen, ah need ha ta come over and help me with somethin'..... or rather, someone. It's a long story. Just know that ah have a human-animal hybrid here in mah house and ah have no idea what to do."

"A-A Human-animal hybrid?!! I'll be right over."

The line went dead. Applejack chuckled and pulled the phone away. She turned and went back inside the bathroom. Rainbow was still standing there, looking around the large room. She jumped as she noticed Applejack had come back inside. She looked at Applejack in slight panic.

"I was just looking." She said.

Applejack walked up to her.

"It's no big deal." She said. "I know you wouldn't do something like steal somethin' from me. Ah trust you."

Rainbow stood there awkwardly. She looked down at the floor. Applejack knew she should wait for Fluttershy to arrive before she gave Rainbow a bath. Her friend, Fluttershy, was an animal expert. She knew everything about animals. Everything. Not kidding. If anyone was going to know what to do with Rainbow, it was Fluttershy.

"A friend of mine is comin' over to help. She's really nice and gentle. Ah promise."

Rainbow nodded slowly, but kept quiet.

The two girls stood there in silence for a few minutes. The two tried not to make eye contact. Applejack crossed her arms, sitting on the edge of the bathtub. Rainbow curled up on a chair in the corner, the towel wrapped around her frail and boney body.

Applejack did her best to give the hybrid girl some privacy while she was literally naked in front of her. Applejack tried not to look. Being attracted to girls didn't help at all. She tried her hardest not to look. She'd just met this girl and she did not want to think that she was some creep. Applejack wanted Rainbow to trust her.

The sound of the doorbell made Rainbow perk up...... or maybe tense up. Applejack couldn't tell.

"That must be Fluttershy." She said.

She stood up. She looked at Rainbow Dash.

"Ah'll go open the door and Ah'll come back in with her."

Rainbow gave a small nod. Applejack hesitated.

"You're gonna be alright by yourself?." She asked, not sure if leaving the seemingly frightened and injured hybrid girl by herself was a good idea, but not wanting to take her out of the bathroom in just a towel.

Rainbow Dash nodded confidently.

"You stay right there." Applejack ordered gently. "Ah'll be right back. Promise."

Applejack quickly left the bathroom, leaving the door opened. She hurried down the hall and down the large staircase to the main area of the house where the front door was. The doorbell rang again. Applejack walked up to the front door, unlocked it and opened it. She saw Fluttershy standing there, a huge smile on her face. She had a bag stuffed with things in her hands.

"I brought some stuff." She said.

Applejack smiled. Of course. Leave it up to Fluttershy to bring something for an animal..... or rather, human-animal hybrid. She stepped aside and let Fluttershy in. Fluttershy came in and Applejack closed and locked the door.

"Thanks for calling me." Fluttershy said. "So where is the hybrid? Is it a boy or girl?."

"A girl." Applejack answers. "Her name is Rainbow Dash. She's in the bathroom. Ah was gonna take her a bath, cuz she's really dirty from being on the streets."

Fluttershy gasped , her eyes widened.

"She was on the streets?"

Applejack nodded.

"Ah was walkin' to get somethin' to eat. Ah was on mah way home and ah saw her sittin' on the sidewalk, shivering and freezing and starving ya death. She looks mighty unhealthy and the poor girl was scared O me."

"Oh the poor thing." Fluttershy sympathized. "I gotta see her."

Applejack led her upstairs to the bathroom. They walked in to find Rainbow still on the chair. She saw them and visibly tensed up. Fluttershy stopped in her tracks. Applejack looked at her friend. Fluttershy has her eyes wide, a hand covering her gaping mouth.

"Oh my goodness." She said. "She looks so sick."

Fluttershy put the bag she had down on the floor and rushed up to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow whimpered, seeing the stranger come towards her. Applejack follows Fluttershy.

"Be careful." She warned. "She might be scared and-."

Fluttershy ignored Applejack's warning and came up to Rainbow Dash. She knelt down in front of her. She gently placed her hands on Rainbow's dirt covered face.

"Oh you poor little baby." She cooed. "Don't worry. Me and Applejack are gonna take good care of you. We'll get you all nice and clean and warm. Ok?"

Rainbow meekly nodded, staring at the other girl, lost.

"Don't be afraid." Fluttershy said. "We're going to help you. We won't hurt you. Let's take you a bath. Are you hurt anywhere?"

Rainbow nodded and pointed at her ankle. Fluttershy looked at the indicated area. Rainbow stuck out her leg. Fluttershy examined it. She gently as possible prodded the ankle, feeling for any broken bones. Rainbow yelped, pulling her leg under her again.

"I'm sorry." Fluttershy said. "I'm just checking for broken bones. I'm so sorry, Rainbow."

Rainbow looked at her, an untrusting look in her eyes. She looked at Applejack, as if looking for safety or guidance. Applejack stepped in. She knelt down to Fluttershy's level, and looked up at Rainbow.

"It's ok, Rainbow. We're gonna make you feel better. But you have to let us and trust us a little. She needs to know what kind of injuries you have so she can heal them. You want me ta stay here with you?"

Rainbow nodded. Applejack smiled at her.

"How bout cha give us your ankle again and Fluttershy can check out your ankle, alright?"

Rainbow glanced at Fluttershy again, contemplating. She slowly stuck her leg back out. Fluttershy took her ankle in her hands, being sure to be gentle. She examined it, Rainbow watching her intensely. Applejack watched Rainbow.

"It's sprained." Fluttershy finally diagnosed. "We need to get you some ice after we take you a bath. What kind of hybrid are you? What animal are you mixed with?"

Rainbow looked down at her lap.

"Gray Wolf." She said, her voice quiet.

Fluttershy gave a nod and went back to the task at hand. Applejack looked down at Rainbow's ankle. She cringed when she saw that the ankle was slightly purple, and looking a little swollen.

"That does look pretty bad." She mumbled.

Fluttershy looked at Applejack.

"Let's take her a quick shower to rinse off the dirt. Then, we'll take her a bath in the tub so she can relax and sit while I wash her thoroughly."

Applejack nodded. She looked at Rainbow.

"Does that sound like a good plan?"

Rainbow nodded slowly. She kept eye contact with Applejack. Applejack got up. She went over to the shower and turned it on. When she did, she heard a whimper from behind her. She looked over her shoulder. Rainbow was looking at her, uncertainty in her big magenta hued eyes. Applejack frowned.

"What's wrong?"

Rainbow said nothing. Fluttershy placed a gentle hand on Rainbow's knee.

"It's ok, sweetie. You're safe. It's only a shower. You ready?"

Rainbow nodded. Fluttershy helped her stand up. She was a little shaky and wobbly. Fluttershy and Applejack helped Rainbow get into the shower. Once she stood in front of them, fully naked, they could see the extent of her malnourishment. Her ribs poked through, her body covered in scrapes and dirt. Her stomach was sunken in along with her cheekbones. Her arms and legs were pretty skinny but not too bad. Her long hair was tangled and dirty.

The girls had Rainbow Dash drench herself in the water, from head to toe. Fluttershy helped detangle her hair, her gentleness coming in handy for the job. It took a while with all the knots and tangles, but it got done. Rainbow was quickly but carefully scrubbed down. Rainbow held on to a metal grip bar that was on the wall of the shower for support. They then had her brush her teeth. Fluttershy had a toothbrush in the bag. A new toothbrush, too. Rainbow Dash was so happy to brush her teeth and have such a luxury. She was quite silly, joking around with the foamy paste in her mouth.

They made sure she flossed and gargled mouthwash. Afterwards, they moved Rainbow to the tub.

"Gentle." Fluttershy said.

Applejack lowered Rainbow into the tub. Rainbow Dash sat down. The water went to her chest. It was very warm. She smiled.

"Feels good?" Applejack asked, kneeling beside the tub.

Rainbow looked at her and nodded.

"Ah'm so glad you like it. Now, let's get cha clean."

Applejack grabbed the liquid soap. She poured some onto a small wet towel she had grabbed. She bit her lip, looking over Rainbow's body, trying to decide where to start. Her back? Her arms, her chest? Would she even feel comfortable with Applejack washing her? A complete stranger who she knows nothing about.

Rainbow must've noticed her hesitation. She reached out a shaky hand and placed it on Applejack's arm which was resting on the side of the tub. Applejack looks into her eyes. Rainbow smiled kindly.

"You're really nice. I know you won't hurt me, so please don't worry about hurting me by accident. Just be gentle."

Applejack smiled. Now the roles were switched. She nodded and began to lather her back. She was sure to be careful. She and Fluttershy bathed Rainbow Dash, shampooed and conditioned her hair, scrubbed all the dirt off her cyan skin. Fluttershy lathered her hair in fruit scented shampoo. Rainbow actually slowly leaned into the touch, closing her eyes. Applejack smiled, finding the action endearing. Fluttershy giggled and cooed at Rainbow.

"You're such a cutie."

Rainbow smiled. She looked around at the water. She gasped, her eyes lighting up. Fluttershy and Applejack paused and looked at her. Rainbow looked at them in excitement.

"Look!"

Applejack and Fluttershy looked down. They smiled. Rainbow was playing with the bubbles. She scooped them up in her hands and looked at Applejack.

"Bubbles!'

Rainbow blew on the bubbles, sending them into the air, floating around. Rainbow clapped excitedly. She continued to play with the bubbles, while Fluttershy and Applejack finished get her all clean and a little shaven, considering she probably hadn't shaved her underarms in a few days or so.

"So, Rainbow." Applejack spoke up randomly. "How old are you?"

"Seventeen." Rainbow replied.

"She's in the last years of being a pup." Fluttershy fawned.

Applejack had to admit. Rainbow was pretty cute. Cute and beautiful. Applejack liked Rainbow already, in the short time of knowing her. She hoped that Rainbow would stick around for a few days. She couldn't go back out to the streets. Not everyone is willing to help someone. She had to protect Rainbow.

"Alright, little one." Fluttershy cooed, rinsing off the last of the shampoo out of Rainbow's long hair. "Time to get out."

Fluttershy grabbed the towel. She had Rainbow Dash stand up, before wrapping the towel around herself. Applejack lifted Rainbow out the tub and set her down on a medium-sized towel that was laid out on the floor to soak up the water that dropped off her body.

"Here ya go."

Rainbow shivered, pulling the towel tight around her body.

"Thank you." She said. "But um...... I don't have any clothes. You took them."

Applejack chuckled. She'd forgotten.

"Oh yeah. Ah forgot. Ah'll go get cha somethin' warm to wear."

Applejack went and fetched her some clothes. She wasn't sure what size Rainbow Dash was. She was thinner than Applejack and a bit shorter. Applejack just grabbed a sports bra, boy shorts underwear, and some pajamas that she knew would be a little big on Rainbow Dash but would just to do for now.

When Rainbow put them on after they got her dried up and put lotion on her aching and dried skin, Applejack discovered she was right. The long sleeve shirt was baggy on the girl's slender shoulders and the sleeve were long on her arms. The pants were long on her and way too baggy. Luckily it had a string to tie it. Fluttershy wrapped up Rainbow's ankle in an elastic bandaid, making sure it was tight enough so Rainbow couldn't move her foot.

"We need to put some ice on this for a little while. Try not to walk on it until it stops hurting, ok?"

Rainbow nodded. Applejack took a look at her. She smiled.

"Feel alright?"

Rainbow nodded again.

"Now let's get cha somethin' ta eat."

They all went downstairs. Rainbow Dash was carried on Applejack's back. They got Rainbow Dash fed. They gave her chicken noodle soup. Something light for her shrunken stomach and something to warm her up. Fluttershy recommended they give her some meat. Just a little. She was part wolf after all. Applejack settled for some chicken tenders she'd gotten from a meat company. She cooked them for all three of them. Rainbow ate quietly, her injured foot elevated on a chair next to her, an ice pack on her ankle. She ate quickly, gulping down the food, as if it would disappear if she didn't eat fast enough. Applejack gently placed a hand on her shoulder. Rainbow paused and looked up at her, midway through her second tender.

"It ain't gonna go anywhere. Slow down. Ah don't want cha ta choke."

Rainbow slowed down, but still ate like a starving child... which was exactly what she was. After her meal, Rainbow was full. She gulped down her mug of hot chocolate and marshmallows. She set down the mug and licked her lips. She looked at Applejack, not saying a word. Applejack smiled.

"You're finished?"

Rainbow nodded.

"Thank you for the food, Applejack. It was delicious. I'm full."

Rainbow suddenly yawned, covering her mouth.

"Somebody's tired." Fluttershy commented.

"I'm overstaying my stay." Rainbow said. "Thank you for everything. But I really should go now."

She went to stand up, but was stopped by a hand grabbing her arm. Rainbow flinched. She turned around to see Applejack looking at her.

"Why're you leavin? You don't have to."

Rainbow cocked her head to the side cutely.

"I don't. But I took a bath and all that. Isn't that all you wanted to give me?"

Applejack released her arm.

"Well, yes.... but ah was kinda hoping that you'd stay the night. It's way too cold for you to go out there. It's getting dark and it ain't safe. Stay the night. Just tonight. Ah have an extra bedroom that you can use."

Rainbow smiled.

"Ok." She said.

She yawned once more. Her eyelids drooped, her body suddenly more relaxed. Applejack chuckled.

"You tired, Rainbow?"

Rainbow nodded. Applejack looked at Fluttershy.

"Ah'll take her upstairs."

Fluttershy nodded.

"I'll clean up here and then let myself out. I need to go home while it's still light outside."

Applejack frowned.

"You don't have ta clean up."

Fluttershy shrugged.

"It's no big deal. I got it. You take Rainbow to bed. The poor thing must be so tired."

Applejack thanked her. Fluttershy said goodbye to Rainbow Dash. She let her choose a toy from the bag she brought. Rainbow chose a stuffed animal of a teddy bear. She clung on to it as Applejack carried her upstairs. Applejack heard the front close and lock as Fluttershy exited the house. Applejack was glad she'd given her an extra key to her house. Less of a hassle.

Applejack got to the guest room and walked, flicking the flight on.

"Here we are."

She heard a quiet snore. She looked down to see Rainbow fast asleep, her head resting on her shoulder. Applejack smiled adoringly.

She went over to the bed. She pulled the blanket back and laid Rainbow Dash down. Rainbow unconsciously curled up in a fetal position, hugging her teddy bear. Applejack felt her heart swell. She tucked Rainbow in. She sighed, watching her for a moment. She gently petted her head.

"Goodnight, Rainbow. Sweet dreams."

Applejack stood back and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. Applejack sighed. She could tell that tomorrow would be an interesting day.

So yeah. Hope you liked it :)
