In my eyes, you're perfect (part 2)
Enjoy :)
Rainbow was trying. She really was. But she just couldn't bring herself to eat the food in front of her. She stared at the cup of grapes, a look of absolute disgust and uncertainty on her face. She slowly turn her head ever so slightly. She made eye contact with Applejack, who had pulled up a seat next to her at the dining table. Applejack had walked in to see Rainbow still sitting at the table even though Applejack had finished eating her breakfast, consisting of a bowl of cereal and a multigrain cereal bar, a half hour ago. Rainbow had watched her eat, the same look of disgust on her face as she stared at the food. Nothing but calories.
Applejack had took one look at her and pieced together what was wrong and she silently took a seat beside Rainbow Dash. Then they sat in silence. Rainbow Dash knew she needed to eat. Her headache and twisting stomach were obviously caused by her lack of food intake. Yet, her mind was doing its best to convince her that they were good. It was a war. A war she couldn't win either way.
"C'mon, RD" Applejack spoke up, her voice soft. "It's just grapes. You ain't gonna get fat from eat'n a bowl a' grapes."
Rainbow looked back at the grapes. She sulked in her seat, wanting to do anything but eat them. She chewed on her already short nails. It was a nervous habit. She saw a tan hand reach out and pick up a green grape. It was held out to her.
"C'mon, babe." AJ gently encouraged. "Just hold it. First baby step."
Rainbow hesitated for a moment. She lifted a shaky hand. Her skinny fingers trembled as she took the grape between her thumb and index finger. She let out a breath. She stared at the fruit, as if it were her biggest fear. Which it kinda was. Rainbow Dash heard her stomach growl once more, her body begging for some nutrients. She closed her eyes, not wanting to look. She shoved the grape into her mouth and quickly chewed. She tried not to think about it.
Once she swallowed, she opened her eyes and looked at Applejack. Applejack looked relieved, a small smile on her face. Rainbow's heart fluttered at the sight. She rubbed her hands over her pants, sweat having built up on her palms.
"Ok. That was fun." She said, half jokingly.
Applejack took her hand and gently squeezed it.
"You're doin' so great, babe. Think ya can go for another?." She encouraged.
Rainbow exhaled, looking at the cup in front of her. She bit her lip. She shrugged. She had that look of disgust on her face again. Another?
"Do you know how much calories are in a cup of grapes?" Rainbow asked. "104 calories. That's a lot."
Applejack looked at the time. 7:30am. They should be heading to school soon. She sighed. Luckily, she had thought of a back-up. She stood up.
"C'mon. We should be headin' ta school in a few minutes. Get chur stuff, babe."
Rainbow nodded and silently left the room. Applejack walked over to the fridge. She opened the door and looked inside. She found a bottle of a chocolate milk nutrition shake. Taking it out, AJ shook the bottle while shutting the fridge. She got out a sports drink bottle from the counter. She poured the contents into the sports bottle, sealing the cap on it. Applejack made sure to throw away the original drink bottle. She didn't want Rainbow to see the label and read the calorie number. She'd never drink it if she knew.
Applejack put the bottle, along with a multigrain bar and an apple in a blue lunch bag. This would be Rainbow's lunch, even if it was just the chocolate milk. She had to have some type of vitamin intake.
Applejack zipped up the lunch bag and picked it up. She headed to the living room where Rainbow was waiting for her, sitting on her couch, scrolling through her phone. Applejack stood in the doorway, observing her. Rainbow had on a baggy sweatshirt and track pants. Applejack could see the fatigue in her eyes. Rainbow looked so skinny and small.
She could tell Rainbow hadn't eaten much the past few days. Their talk the other day had Applejack thinking. She was extremely worried about Rainbow Dash.
She wondered why she hadn't noticed this before. Rainbow had been suffering in silence and torturing her body because she believed those girls at school.
AJ was determined to shut those girls up. She had told their friends what happened the other day. Twilight and Fluttershy had suggested they tell the principal. Sunset Shimmer had the idea to teach those girls a lesson. That meant possibly getting into a fight. That was a big no.
Applejack knew that they should get the girls in trouble. They couldn't do nothing and let those girls get away with treating Rainbow like they did. They would only continue to do so until they were stopped. It has to stop.
Applejack walked up to Rainbow. Rainbow must've noticed because she glanced up from her phone. Applejack pulled Rainbow to her feet. AJ wrapped her muscular arms around Rainbow's petite body. She pressed her lips against Rainbow's forehead, the kiss lingering. Applejack slowly pulled away and then looked down at the shorter teen.
"Ah love you, Rainbow. Just the way you are. M'kay? Remember that. No matter what anyone at all says bout cha. Ah still love you."
Rainbow smiled. She nodded.
"Okay. I love you too."
So yeah. Part 3? :) comment what you thought of this
