So sorry for the late update. I was working on it last night and I fell asleep. And so I'll be posted twice today to catch up. So yeah.

Day 1.... sorta...Enjoy! :)

Rainbow was having such a great day. She was sitting on the living room couch, a fleece blanket wrapped around her small body to keep the cold of the winter day out. Rainbow Dash stared at the tv with a blank expression. Her favorite tv show, Powers Rangers, played, the action of whatever battle they were in emitted from the tv. Rainbow was so engrossed in the show, she didn't notice her girlfriend sit down beside her until she felt the shift of the couch. Rainbow Dash let out a tiny gasp of surprise, turning her head. She smiled, seeing her beautiful girlfriend.

"Hey, babe."

Applejack laughed.

"Did ah scare ya? Ah'm sorry."

"Pshh nah."

Rainbow waved a dismissive hand as if to say No way.

"I'm too awesome to get scared like that."

Applejack rolled her eyes. Again with the awesome. She sighed contently, shifting her body so she was facing Rainbow. Rainbow had a dopey grin on her face. She couldn't help it. Applejack was here. Her beautiful, amazing Applejack.

"Well." Applejack started. "Ah got a little somethin' ah thought you'd like to see."

Rainbow scrunched her eyebrows together, tilting her head to the left a little. The action made Applejack's heart want to explode with cuteness.

"What is it?" Rainbow asked.

Applejack suddenly extended her hand up and over their heads. Rainbow looked up. It took her a moment to realize what she was looking at. She smiled. A mistletoe. The little green and red item was held in between Applejack's thumb and index finger. Rainbow had never seen one up close. Only in movies and such. She looked at Applejack who was smirking at her. Rainbow could tell she had thought of this.

"Is that what I think it is?" Rainbow asked, although they both knew she knew what it obviously was.

Applejack shrugged.

"Maybe." She purred. "Better kiss anyway. Just in case it is."

"Oh of course." Rainbow played along, smirking. "It's kind of a Christmas rule, right? Kiss under a mistletoe?"

"Yup." AJ confirmed. "Now c'mere you."

Both girls leaned in, closing the space between them. Their lips touched, sending both of them into a state of perfect bliss. Rainbow felt her pulse quickening. She lived for these moments. The softness of Applejack's lips reminded her of silk.

They broke apart, and smiled at each other. Rainbow felt her mind go blank, her brain needing to take a minute to process what just happened. She stared at Applejack with a star struck expression on her face. Applejack thought it was hilarious.

"You ok??" She finally asked, breaking the silence.

Rainbow nodded dumbly, not breaking eye contact. Applejack hummed happily. She got up and walked away. Rainbow watched her, the goofy look still plastered onto her face. She couldn't bring herself to speak. The effects of the kiss on Rainbow was too much to handle. She blushed a light pink. Even after being together for about a year, Rainbow still blushed at the simplest display of affection from Applejack.

Rainbow touched her lips. She smiled to herself. She suddenly giggled, falling backwards onto the couch.

Rainbow hummed merrily, opening the microwave. She could smell the sweet scent of chocolate and marshmallows. Being careful not to burn herself, she took the hot mug by the handle and took it out. Rainbow brought the steaming mug close to her face. She inhaled the sweet scent through her nose, closing her eyes. She exhaled a moment later, opening her eyes. She walked over the kitchen island. Placing the mug of hot chocolate on the counter surface, she folded her arms, staring down at the mug. Rainbow smiled. A mug of hot chocolate on a cold winter's day. Couldn't get better than that.

Rainbow heard footsteps, the familiar sound of boots on the tiled kitchen floor.

"Hey." Rainbow greeted.

Rainbow felt strong arms snake around her waist, a chin resting on her right shoulder. Rainbow Dash felt the familiar gentle kiss on the cheek.

"Hey. What cha doin'?"came the gentle voice of the one that meant everything to Rainbow.

Rainbow held up her mug.

"Hot chocolate." She said.

She stood up straight. Rainbow Dash turned around. She was met the greenest eyes she'd ever seen. The eyes filled with love and determination and strength and patience. The eyes that made Rainbow's day brighter. That made her feel weak at the knees.

Applejack chuckled.

"And you didn't make me any?"

Rainbow pouted.

"Sorry. You should've told me and I would've made you some" She said. "You can have a sip of mine."

Rainbow went to turn around. Applejack gently grabbed her by the arm. Applejack shook her head.

"No thank you, baby. AJ see somethin' way better than chocolate."

There was a mischievous gleam in her eyes that excited Rainbow. Rainbow Dash giggled.

"Oh really?"

Applejack hummed, unwrapping her arms from around her.

"Mmhmm. Yup. And to make sure ah get my way.... look up."

Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow. She looked up. She could've laughed. Applejack was holding up a mistletoe above their heads. Rainbow snickered and looked at Applejack.

"Really?"

Applejack smirked.

"C'mon. Ah know you don't mind. You know it, too."

Rainbow couldn't argue with her there. She didn't mind it one bit. Rainbow and Applejack kissed gently her girlfriend. She got the desired response. A kiss back. Applejack loved these quiet alone moments. No one but them. They both the kiss apart. They opened their eye and looked at each other. Rainbow placed her hands on Applejack's chest, feeling herself be drawn closer to Applejack. Rainbow enjoyed being this close to Applejack. Not many people saw this use of Rainbow Dash. Only a select few. Like Applejack. Rainbow smiled at Applejack, lightly resting their foreheads against one another's. They looked into each other's eyes, smiling.

Applejack chuckled.

Who knew a little mistletoe could bring them such joy. The girls stood there, smiling, sharing quick peppered kisses on the lips. Rainbow giggled every time AJ pecked a soft spot. Applejack was grateful for these moments. Rainbow hardly ever showed her soft side. She wasn't that kind of person. But around Applejack, she was like Fluttershy.

Applejack smiled at her beautiful girlfriend.

"Ah love you, Rainbow." She whispered, as if it were a secret for just the both of them.

Rainbow Dash blushed a light pink. She smiled back and cupped Applejack's cheek with a gentle hand.

"I love you, too, AJ."

Applejack noticed her change of body language. Usually Rainbow was a rough girl, always ready to move around and do something physical. She had so much energy in her. But right now, Rainbow was reminding her of a kitten. Gentle. Applejack loved that about her. Rainbow was gentle and careful with the ones she loved when she wanted or needed to be. Looking into her eyes, AJ couldn't hold back. She leaned in and pressed her lips against Rainbow's. She pulled her closer by her waist, then wrapping her arms around her to hold her there. Rainbow kissed back immediately. She carefully wrapped her arms around Applejack's neck, her eyes fluttering closed. The blanket that was wrapped around her bow laid on the floor, forgotten. The hot chocolate might as well have never existed. But they didn't mind.

They both lived for these moments. A blissful moment, just the two of them, nothing to distract them. Just perfect. Applejack pulled away from the kiss. She giggled. Rainbow opened her eyes.

"What?"

Applejack held up the mistletoe.

"If Ah'd known having this would end up with us kissin' all the time, ah would've gotten it sooner. Ah'm keepin' this."

Rainbow laughed. Then she smirked.

"Who said we had to have a mistletoe to kiss?"

Applejack looked at her for a moment. She placed the item on the counter behind Rainbow. She put her hand on Rainbow's waist, leaning in close, trapping Rainbow's body in between her and the kitchen island. Rainbow blushed lightly at the closeness. AJ thought it was so cute. Their lips were about a centimeter apart. AJ could feel the anticipation rising.

"Good point." She whispered. "Ah think ah just found what we're gonna spend our day doin' today."

Rainbow smiled.

"And What is that?" She teased, her voice barely above a whisper.

Applejack didn't answer. She simply pressed their lips together. That was all Rainbow needed to know.
