A dream vacation part 11
Warning: Final part :) I really hoped you guys liked this story. Enjoy!!
Rainbow woke with a jolt. Her eyes shot open. Where was she?
"What? Huh?."
"Rainbow?? You ok??." She heard someone giggle.
Rainbow turned her head to see Applejack looking right at her, a hand covering her mouth. Rainbow brought a hand up and rubbed her sleep ridden eyes.
"Where are we??." She mumbled.
"We just landed." Applejack replied. "So wake yourself up and get chur stuff ready. You can sleep in the car."
Rainbow slowed sat up in her chair, still a bit disoriented. Rainbow found her phone and stuffed it into the jacket pocket. She could feel the plane's speed reducing. The vibrating feeling made her stomach feel strange. Rainbow slowly started gathering herself together, her mind still half asleep. Rainbow leaned over and picked up her backpack.
The plane was parked at the gate. All the passengers retrieved their carry-on baggages and they were given the ok sign to leave the plane. Rainbow tugged her luggage behind her as they walked through the gate and into the airport. Rainbow groaned quietly.
"This sucks." She grumbled
Applejack walked up beside her, Jackson and Strike, not too far behind her.
"That's cuz you're tired and cranky." Applejack said.
Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and the men walked through the airport, on their way to the pick up area. Applejack had to pull Rainbow along with her, otherwise the girl would stay in her spot, lay down right there, and go to sleep.
"Who's gonna come get us?." Rainbow asked, clutching Applejack's hand like a lifeline, forcing her eyes to stay open.
"Umm, Twilight's Dad, Orion, should be here." Strike said.
The four walked in silence through the cold building. They didn't need to get any luggage from the luggage claim, so they headed straight for the pick up. They found the pick-up area and walked outside. The cool air of the morning wrapped around them. Walking to the edge of the "sidewalk", they stopped and patiently waited.
"Feels good to be back in Equestria, huh girls?." Jackson said, taking his phone out.
Rainbow nodded and yawned. "Yup. Feels good to be home."
Rainbow looked at Applejack. Applejack noticed her staring. She reached out and cupped Rainbow's cheek. Her thumb gently rubbed the soft skin. Rainbow smiled and leaned into the touch. She moved closer to Applejack, slowly wrapping her arms around her waist. Resting her head on Applejack's shoulder, Rainbow was now content in her arms. Applejack returned the gesture and wrapped her arms around Rainbow.
The two stood together like that, too tired to pull apart.
Cars passed and parked and left. People after people were picked up at that unholy hour in the morning. Jackson was talking to Twilight's dad on the phone, giving him instructions where to find them. Rainbow was ready to fall back asleep. Suddenly she noticed a white Chevy Malibu and a red Ford truck pulling up. The two vehicles were parked in front of them. Jackson waved just in case. Orion climbed out of the truck's driver seat and walked over to them with a grin.
"Hey you guys." He said. "You need a ride??"
The man helped them with their bags.
"Shining Armor is in my car, so I'll go with him. You guys can take your truck."
"Alright. Thanks, man." Strike said.
"No problem." Orion said before heading back to his car.
Jackson, Strike, Rainbow Dash and Applejack climbed into the truck. They all buckled in. Rainbow wasted no time in putting her bag on the floor and laying down, her head resting on Applejack's lap. Applejack looked down at her and smiled. She ran her fingers through Rainbow's hair, gently massaging her scalp.
"Alright, babe. You can rest until we get home."
Rainbow went right to sleep. Applejack looked up to see her dad looking at her through the mirror. Applejack smiled.
"She's out." She said, referring to her girlfriend.
"Ah can tell." Jackson replied, chuckling. "She's quiet. Poor girl must be cranky without her sleep."
Applejack giggled. Rainbow was cranky when she didn't get to nap. Which was strange since she hardly napped this whole week. Guess the lack of precious sleep was catching up to Rainbow. Applejack looked out the window, letting her mind wander.
When she finally became aware of her surroundings again, she realized they weren't moving. Applejack blinked and looked around.
"Huh? Where are we??."
"At your house." Jackson replied, opening the drivers side door. Applejack looked down at Rainbow Dash. She sighed. Now she had to wake Rainbow up again. Applejack gently shook Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow." She said quietly. "Wake up, Rainbow. We're home."
It took a few seconds, but a sharp inhale indicated Rainbow had woken up.
"Hmm??."
Rainbow shifted around. She slowly sat up.
"Where are we?." She asked, rubbing her eyes.
Applejack unbuckled her seatbelt.
"Home. C'mon."
Rainbow sighed and grabbed her back. The two climbed out of the car. Jackson and Strike went to the trunk to retrieve their luggages.
"We'll open the door." Applejack called, already heading towards the front door of the house.
Rainbow Dash and her walked up to the front door. Applejack fished out her house key from her bag. Applejack unlocked the door and pushed open the door. The two stepped inside. Applejack flicked on a light in the living room.
Rainbow sighed happily, dropping her bag into the floor.
"Home sweet home." She said.
Applejack looked at her, smiling.
"Let's go help Strike and mah dad with the stuff."
Rainbow groaned, but followed Applejack outside, anyway. The girls helped the men bring the stuff inside. Once they got it all into the living room, they could finally relax.
"Alright." Strike said. "You guys can go to bed and sleep. Jackson. You can sleep in guest bedroom. I'll take the couch in the living room."
Rainbow Dash took Applejack by the hand and headed straight for the stairs without hesitation. Applejack could hear her grumbling under her breath, daring anyone else to stop from getting her sleep. Applejack said good night to the men for the both of them. Rainbow dragged her to the bedroom. Walking in, Applejack flicked on the light.
Rainbow immediately took off her shirt and threw it somewhere. She kicked off her shoes and took off her pants. Applejack rolled her eyes. She went over to Rainbow's pile of clothes and picked them up. Applejack looked up to see Rainbow putting on some basketball shorts and a tank top. Applejack folded the clothes in her hand and put them on her desk. She took off her shoes and then quickly changed her clothes.
Applejack yawned. She looked over at Rainbow who was waiting for her, staring at her.
Applejack chuckled. "Ah'm comin', babe. Hold yir horses."
Applejack turned the light off and climbed into bed with Rainbow. She laid down beside Rainbow's wrapping an arm around her waist.
"Ah love you." Applejack said, giving her a peck on the lips.
Rainbow smiled.
"I love you too, AJ. Thanks for making our vacation the best."
Applejack pulled Rainbow closer, kissing her right cheek multiple times. She slowly tucked Rainbow's hair behind her ear, their gazes locked. Applejack leaned down and pressed her lips against Rainbow's. The two shared a passionate yet gentle kiss. Rainbow pulled Applejack on top of her, deepening the kiss. Her fingers ran through AJ's golden hair. Rainbow felt Applejack's hands all over her. One hand was on her stomach, the other running over her thigh. It made Rainbow's stomach flutter with excitement and made her want more.
Rainbow felt Applejack pulling up her shirt, exposing her stomach and sides. Rainbow gripped Applejack's shirt in her hands, moaning softly.
Applejack pulled away from the kiss, panting. She rested her forehead against Rainbow's, looking into her eyes. She smiled.
"Getting ahead of yourself, ain't cha, AJ??." Rainbow smirked.
"Just cuz we ain't on vacation anymore, don't mean we can't have some fun on our own." Applejack said.
That was true. Rainbow giggled lightly.
"True. I do miss these moments with you."
Applejack pressed a light kiss on Rainbow's sensitive neck, making Rainbow shiver. Rainbow's breath hitched.
"That tickles and you know that." She whined, pouring. "That should be considered cheating."
Applejack rolled her eyes.
"Shut up and kiss me, you idiot."
Rainbow smiled. She gently massaged Applejack's scalp.
"I'm so lucky you're my girlfriend. Our vacation would've been awful if you weren't there."
Applejack felt butterflies in her chest. She smiled. Rainbow always had a way with words.
"Nah." Applejack said. "That's sweet of ya ta say, but it was you that made this vacation great. You had us laughin' and smilin' the whole time."
"Remember that lady at that bar thing yesterday??"
Applejack nodded. "How could ah forget?? You told her off."
Rainbow giggled. "I sure did. This week was the best. I hope we can go back someday."
Applejack smirked. "Maybe. But like ah said, just cause we're back home, don't mean we can't have fun."
Rainbow blushed.
"Right."
Applejack closed the gap between them. Rainbow melted into the heated kiss. Applejack was right. They could have their own fun at home.
But one thing she knew for sure was that whenever Applejack was with her in these moments, just the two of them, it was a vacation for them all the time.
The end :)
