A dream vacation part 10
Enjoy :)
Applejack pulled on her sweater. She zipped it up with a sigh. Applejack looked over at the bed to see Rainbow Dash already asleep again. She rolled her eyes. Rainbow had gotten up and gotten ready, only to get back in bed. Typical Rainbow Dash. However, AJ had to get the girl up. They were about to leave for the airport and Rainbow needed to walk to the car herself.
"Hey, Rainbow!." Applejack called.
No response. The girl snored on. Applejack sighed. She walked up to the bed. She sat down beside her sleeping girlfriend. Applejack tried to decide what she should do this time. An idea came to her mind. She smirked at the idea.
Applejack stealthily and quietly as possible, climbed on top of Rainbow. Applejack began to tickle Rainbow's sides.
"WAKE UP!!." She shouted.
Rainbow jolted awake. She immediately began to giggle, sleep fogging her sight.
"Hm?? What's going on??." She laughed.
Applejack continued to tickle the other girl. Rainbow didn't know what was going on. Only that Applejack was tickling her. Her laughter echoed in the room.
"Please, AJ." She begged. "Stop. I'm awake."
Applejack grinned. She stopped. Rainbow breathed in some much needed air. She giggled, her rose hued eyes tearing up at the corners.
"I hate you."
Applejack chuckled. She pecked her on the left cheek.
"Ah know. Now, get up. We gotta go."
Rainbow whined, sitting up. She slouched her shoulders.
"But it's the middle of the night. I'm tired."
"C'mon, RD. You can sleep in the car and on the plane."
Rainbow groaned grumpily. The two got out of bed and grabbed their backpacks. They walked over to the bedroom door, where their luggage was waiting. Walking out, they immediately felt the warm temperature in the tropical air. Rainbow groaned.
"C'mon girls."
Rainbow and Applejack jumped slightly. They turned and saw Jackson and Strike coming out of their room next door, their luggage in tow.
"Comin', Dad." Applejack said.
She looked at Rainbow Dash. She smiled at her. Rainbow looked at her. She grinned sleepily before yawning, covering her mouth with a hand. Rainbow quickly shook her head, waking herself up a bit.
The four of them headed all the way to the parking lot where their rental car was. Their luggage was put in the trunk of the car. They all climbed in, buckled up and they took off.
Rainbow was quick to lean on Applejack's shoulder, close her eyes, and snuggle up to her. Applejack looked at her and smiled. She let Rainbow Dash lean on her and fall asleep. Applejack herself stared out the window, humming while playing with Rainbow's hair. She watched the street lights pass by, the few cars that were out at that time of night.
"So, kiddo." Jackson spoke up, keeping his eyes on the road. "Had fun this week??"
Applejack smiled and nodded.
"Yeah. A lot of fun. This was great, Dad. Ah'm sure Rainbow Dash loved it. The food, the hotel, the things we did. She was havin' the time of her life here."
"Ah don't think it was because of those things." Her dad said. "It was you."
Applejack looked at the rear view mirror. She saw her dad's eyes meeting hers through the reflection.
"Rainbow did like all those things. Yeah. But you're what made them fun for her."
"Yeah." Came a groggy voice.
Applejack turned her head. She looked at Rainbow Dash. The girl lifted her head off Applejack's shoulder and looked up at her, rubbing her eyes.
"He's right. Yeah, I we did a lot of cool stuff. But it was you that made them cool."
She smiled at Applejack.
"You being there and doing those things with me is what made them so fun. You make everything better for me."
Applejack smiled. Rainbow can be so sweet at times.
"You're sweet, RD." She chuckled. "Who are you and what have you done with Rainbow Dash??"
Rainbow rolled her eyes. "Haha very funny."
Rainbow looked at uncle.
"Hey, Uncle Strike??. Can you turn on the radio so we can listen to something??" She asked
"Sure thing." Strike said, already turning on the radio, cranking the volume up.
------------
Rainbow groaned as she plopped down in her plane seat.
"Finally."
Applejack sat down beside her.
"Oh, don't be so dramatic, Rainbow." She said.
She took off her backpack. Rainbow did the same and placed her backpack on the floor. She unzipped it and took out her book and her clip on book light. Rainbow placed the items in the little net holder in front of her seat. Rainbow sat back and watched all the other passengers board the plane. Rainbow was easily entertained, so she had no problem watching to everyone stuff their luggage into the overhead compartments. Once everyone was seated, Rainbow turned her attention to the small tv in front of her.
"Cool." She said, grinning. "Look, AJ. A tv."
Rainbow looked at Applejack, who was digging through her own backpack. Applejack took out a plastic bag and looked at her with a grin.
Rainbow beamed, knowing what was inside the bag.
"Here ya go, babe." Applejack said, handing the half asleep teen the bag.
Rainbow opened it and looked inside. She had been correct. There was a big delicious chocolate chip muffin inside. Rainbow sighed quietly, looking up at Applejack.
"Thanks. You're the best, AJ. You sure know how to make a girl happy."
Applejack giggled. "Wasn't that difficult."
Suddenly they heard the speakers come on. The captain gave his speech on greetings and safety and all that. Rainbow and Applejack buckled in. Rainbow Dash stared out the small window beside her.
Soon enough, the plane started moving. Rainbow felt her heart beating faster. She stared out the window as the plane made its way to the take off runway. She blindly felt around for anything to hold. She grabbed on to something that felt like a hand. Rainbow turned her attention away from the window. She was holding Applejack's hand. Rainbow looked up to see Applejack looking right at her.
She smiled at her.
"You okay, babe??"
Rainbow giggled nervously.
"Y-Yeah. I'm fine. Totally cool."
A moment later the plane stopped. Rainbow took a deep breath.
"I'm alright. I can do this. I'm no scaredy cat or a wimp. I'm fine. Keep it together, Rainbow. Keep your cool." She told herself
Rainbow Dash jerked back as the plane began to fly down the path. Rainbow gripped Applejack's hand tightly, panic on her face.
"Rainbow." She heard Applejack said.
Rainbow looked at her. AJ was smiling at her.
"Ah love you."
Rainbow smiled at the randomness of the statement. She relaxed as an instinct. Applejack leaned in and pressed her lips against Rainbow's. Rainbow kissed back immediately, all her fears and worries now in the back of her mind. The two was so engrossed in the kiss, they almost didn't feel the plane take off. The pulled apart and smiled at each other.
"Feel better?" Applejack asked.
Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. Thanks."
"No problem." Applejack replied with a one shouldered shrug.
Rainbow opened her tray and placed the bag with the muffin inside on top of it. Rainbow sat back again. She suddenly saw someone standing in the aisle beside their seats, facing them. Rainbow looked up to see a dark blue haired, female flight attendant standing there, a warm and welcoming smile on her makeup-caked face.
"Hi." The woman greeted them, warmly and quietly. "Can I get you ladies anything to drink??."
Rainbow tiredly looked at Applejack with drooping eyes. She shrugged her shoulders, not really sure if we wanted to get anything to drink at the moment or not.
"Sprite??." She said, though it sounded more like a question than a statement.
Applejack nodded. She looked at the woman.
"Two sprites, please." She said.
The woman gave a nod and turned to her beverage cart. The two teens watched her as the woman scooped ice into the plastic cups and took out two cold cans of sprite. She handed the items to them.
"Thanks." Applejack said.
The flight attendant smiled.
"You're welcome." She said before moving on.
Applejack and Rainbow Dash opened their cans and drank right out of them. Rainbow sighed in content. She felt her eyelids getting heavy. She rubbed her eyes, yawning. She looked at Applejack. Applejack had seen her yawn.
"Let's get some sleep." She said. "Ah know you're mighty tired, huh?"
Rainbow nodded and kicked off her sneakers, pulling her hood up. Applejack handed her a travel pillow. Rainbow immediately got comfortable in her seat, curling her legs in her seat, her head resting on the travel pillow which was on Applejack's shoulder.
"Good night." She mumbled, already feeling herself falling asleep. "Wake me up when we get there."
Rainbow's heavy eyes couldn't stay open another moment. Rainbow let herself doze off, Applejack not too far behind her.
So yeah. I hope this was good :) comment what you think!!
