Applejack sighed. She officially was bored. The teen leaned against a pillar. There was no one in the store that day, which was odd. She worked at a toy store and for some reason, noone came in. Usually there were a ton of kids in there or a few adults buying their kid something for their birthday or something.

But today, nada. Nothing. The toy store was deserted.

Applejack looked around the empty, quiet store. It was just her and her coworkers. She turned her head. Soarin was at his post at the cash register. Spike was walking around, just as bored.

He sighed loudly.

"This is officially the most boring day of my life!!", he claimed.

"Same", Applejack said. "Where is everybody??. The toys ain't gunna hurt anybody".

She sighed, her shoulders slumping. Suddenly the most beautiful sound rang through the quiet empty store. Laughter.

Applejack stood up straighter, smiling.

"Ya'll hear that??", she asked.

The others nodded. They suddenly heard voices.

"Rainbow Dash. Don't you dare touch anything!!".

"But it's calling me. It's my destiny to be here".

Applejack could hear giggling a few aisles down. She decided to check on whoever it was making all that noise.

"Ah'm gunna go check on whoever came in here", she said, quickly walking towards the voices.

Applejack walked down to the aisle the voices were coming from. Applejack turned a corner and stopped suddenly. She saw four teenage girls. One was grabbing at a toy sword while the other three were holding her back.

"Rainbow Dash", a girl with purple, neatly styled hair and marshmallow colord skin scolded her. "You're not allowed to touch them".

Applejack could easily take a guess at who was Rainbow Dash. The teen girl they were holding back had rainbow colored hair.

She was really cute. She made grabby hand at the plastic sword.

"Pleeeease. I wanna hold it", she whined.

Applejack smiled and crossed her arms, watching the scene. Rainbow Dash was one of those teens who acted like a kid when put in the middle of a toy store. And this was easily the best toy store in Canterlot.

"Who in their right mind gave Rainbow Dash sugar this morning??", a girl with straight purple and pink hair and light purple skin asked as she struggled to help restrain the multicolored hair teen.

"Um excuse me??".

The group stopped and looked at Applejack. Applejack smiled and waved.

"Hi. Ah'm Applejack".

She walked over to the group. The girls were frozen in place. Applejack stood in front of them. She looked at what Rainbow was reaching for.

A plastic sword. There was a whole bunch of them in a container. Applejack chuckled. Picking up one of the swords, she pointed it at Rainbow Dash.

"Argg. C'mon ye landlover. Let's battle. This here is mah store and ain't no one has been able ta defeat me an claim it".

Rainbow smiled. Sbe broke free of her friends and grabbed a sword for herself. She pointed it at Applejack.

"Let's battle".

Rainbow advanced towards Applejack. The two clashed swords. The two battled it out. They ran around the empty store, laughing and hollering. Their swords fight went on for quite some time.

At some point, one of Rainbow's friends, a girl with poofy pink hair and bright blue eyes, joined in. Spike joined in and sparred with her. The two pairs battled against eachother.

"This is fun", Rainbow hollered.

"I know", Spike called back, grinning.

"We never get this much excitement at the store before".

"Are we even allowed to be doing this??", Pinkie asked.

Applejack giggled. "People are allowed ta play with some of the toys here. That's why kids love it so much".

"I know I do", Rainbow said.

Rainbow turned her head. She smiled when she saw a pirate ship play area. There was rope things to climb on and platforms and rope to swing off. She turned and ran towards it.

Applejack ran after her. Rainbow ran up to the rope climbing thing and quickly started to ascend. Applejack watched her for a moment to make sure she would fall. She smiled at the girl's adventurous nature. Just what she liked in a girl. Fun.

Applejack climbed up after Rainbow Dash. She pulled herself up onto wooden platform. She saw Rainbow standing there. Applejack got into position.

"There's nowhere ta run, captain Rainbow Dash", she said, raising her sword at Applejack.

Applejack smirked.

Rainbow looked around. Her eyes landed on something.

"Oooh what's this??", she asked.

Applejack looked at what Rainbow was looking at. She smiled.

"That's the way down".

Applejack and Rainbow Dash looked at the zip line that went from where they were standing to the floor.

"That looks like fun", Rainbow said, grinning. "Can we try it out??".

"Oh Applejack".

Applejack and Rainbow Dash turned around. They saw Spike and Pinkie standing there, smirking, their swords in hand.

"Give up the princess and noone gets hurt Applejack", Spike said.

Applejack looked at Rainbow.

"Guess we're gonna try it out. Grab on ta me".

Rainbow wrapped her arms around her neck. Applejack grabbed hold of the zip line handle with one hand, her other arm securely around Rainbow's waist.

The girls were off in a flash, flying through the air. Rainbow smiled, her long hair flying.

She and Applejack looked at eachother and smiled. Applejack's feet touched the ground and she let go of the handle.

"Hey. No fair!!", she heard from Spike.
The girls smirked, looking up at them.

"We win!!", Rainbow yelled, fist pumping in triumph.

She turned her head. She and Applejack looked at eachother. They realized that they were still in their position. Applejack unwrapped her arm from around Rainbow's waist, blushing.

The girls took a step apart.

"That was fun", Rainbow said. "Probably the most fun I've had in weeks. Thanks".

Applejack smiled. "No problem. But we should be thankin' you. This here store has been empty all day and we were bored out of our minds. Ya'll came right on time".

"Maybe we can come back again", she said.

"Yeah", Applejack said, smiling. "That'd be great. We could do the his more often".

Rainbow suddenly took out a pen.

"Give me your arm", she said.

Applejack raised an eyebrow but did as told. Rainbow grabbed he wrist and scribbled on her arm. She finished and pulled away, smiling uo at Applejack.

"There. Now you have my number".

Applejack looked down at the number. She smiled and looked up at Rainbow Dash.

"Ya know", she said. "Ah'm free this weekend. Wanna go out fir a smoothie??".

Rainbow smiled, rubbing her arm slowly.

"Sounds good. Wanna get one right now??. Since you guys are basically failing at being a proper store. Might as well close up shop early and get out of here".

Applejack smiled.

"Ah don't know bout that, but it time fir our lunch break, so ah guess we could close for a little while then come back".

"You guys".

The two turned and saw Spike and Pinkie walking towards them. They smiled.

"That was so much fun", Pinkie exclaimed. "Let's do it again".

"Actually", Applejack said. "It's our lunch break. Me and Rainbow are gunna head to the cafeteria fir lunch. You guys wanna come with??".

The others looked at eachother.

"Sure", Soarin said, smiling. "I'm hungry".

The teens walked out to the entrance of the store. They locked up and walked out to the cafeteria.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash walked side by side, smiling and talking.

"That was so much fun", Rainbow said. "Your store is the best toy store in the universe".

Applejack smiled.

"Thanks. Though ah kinda know that. So Rainbow Dash. Wanna hang out again??. You can come by anytime. Ah work on weekdays from three ta seven".

"Sure", Rainbow said. "I think I'd like that".

Rainbow smirked.

"But next time, I wanna just go on the zip line a few times".

Applejack laughed.

"Okay. Anythin you want. Sure".

Rainbow turned and looked at her friends.

"And you guys were trying to stop me from playing with a toy sword. I got to play with it anyway. Ha!".

Rarity rolled her eyes.

"Such a child, sometimes", she said.

The group laughed. Applejack wrapped an arm adround Rainbow's shoulders.

"There ain't nothing wrong with being childish. Ah work in a toy store".

"A perfect match", Soarin joked.

The two girls looked at eachother. Rainbow looked away blushing, smiling to herself. Maybe they were. The perfect pair. Fate had been good to them that day.
