Rainbow felt herself being shaken. She sighed and opened her tired eyes. She saw Applejack there smiling at her. The blonde kissed her cheek.

"What time is it??", Rainbow grumbled.

"10:23".

Rainbow sighed and got up.

"Morning", she grumbled getting out of bed.

Applejack sat up.

"Wait".

Rainbow turned around, her towel on her shoulder.

"Don't cha know what day is it??".

Rainbow shrugged. "Friday. I'm gunna go shower".

Rainbow turned and left. Applejack sat there with a confused look on her face. What the heck??. She took out her phone. She texted the girls, waiting for Rainbow Dash.

After 20 minutes, Rainbow walked back in in her bra and underwear. Applejack looked up at the girl ,who silently got dressed. Applejack got out of bed and walked over to Rainbow Dash.

"Uh Rainbow??. You okay??".

Rainbow looked at her and smiled.

"Yeah. Sorry about that. I hate mornings".

She giggled and wrapped her arms arms around Applejack's neck. Applejack smiled at her and gave her a kiss. Rainbow smiled into the kiss.

Pulling away Rainbow smiled.

"Let's go eat breakfast".

Rainbow pulled her downstairs. The two went into the kitchen. Rainbow saw a plate of pancakes on the counter. She looked at Applejack.

"You made breakfast??. Impressive".

Applejack laughed. They sat down and ate.

"Ah love you", Applejack said with a mouth full of food. Rainbow giggled.

"I love you too".

The girls finished eating. Rainbow sighed and rocked in her heels.

"So. What do you have planned for us today blondey??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack frowned and raised an eyebrow.

"Are you sure you don't know what day it is??".

Rainbow looked at her confused.

"Umm labor day??".

Applejack gave her a look.

"Rainbow", she said, her face deadpanned. "It's December. It is not labor day".

Rainbow jumped up excitedly. "Christmas??!!".

Applejack face palmed. "No".

Rainbow frowned and crossed her arms and pouted.

"I wish it was Christmas again".

Applejack began to get worried. How did Rainbow not know what day it was??. Applejack took Rainbow's hand and pulled her into the living room. They sat down.

"What's wrong??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack looked at her for a moment.

"Rainbow. It's your birthday".

Rainbow had an 'ohhhhh' look on her face. Then she went to grabbed the remote but Applejack stopped her.
Rainbow looked at her.

"Rainbow. Didn't cha hear me??. It's your birthday".

Rainbow shrugged. "So??".

"What do ya mean so??", Applejack questioned.

Rainbow shrugged again. "It's just my birthday. It's nothing speacial".

Applejack gawked at her. She did not just say that.

"Rainbow. Of course it's somethin speacial. It's your birthday. The most important day of your life. What's up with you??".

Rainbow shrugged. "I just don't celebrate my birthday".

Applejack gave her a taken back look. The blonde leaned in.

"You don't celebrate chur birthday??. Why??".

Rainbow sighed. "And now sad depressing childhood stories by Rainbow Dash. I use to celebrate my birthday when I a small kid. But then..... my mom died".

Applejack took her hand. Rainbow had tears in her eyes at the mention of her mother.

"Ever since then, my dad wouldn't let me go out on my birthday. We didn't have cake, no presents. He didn't even say happy birthday".

Rainbow sniffled. She stood up and paced around, trying her hardest not to shed a tear. She looked at Applejack. Rainbow laughed without a single bit of humor in her body.

"You know what I got for my birthday instead??".

Applejack shook her head.

"I got a list of reasons why I was a mistake and why I shouldn't have been born".

Applejack was shocked. She looked up at her girlfriend. She slowly stood up. Rainbow Dash sniffled again.

"That's why I hate my birthday. It's a reminder that I'm not suppose to be here. I'm not suppose to be alive. I should have never been born. My birthday reminds me that I'm a mistake. Not wanted!!. My dad didn't want me and he let me know that. Every birthday he made sure I knew how much of a stupid pathetic mistake I am and that I should just dissappear".

Applejack shook her head and walked up to her. She took Rainbow's hands in her.

"Rainbow, look at me".

Rainbow did as told. She sniffled and blinked. The tears ran down her face. Applejack wiped them away.

"You are not a mistake. Okay??. Do you hear me??".

Rainbow looked away, turning her head. Applejack held her chin and made Rainbow look at her.

"Rainbow Dash", she said. "Ah know you've had a bad childhood. But you need ta know that everythin your father said about chu is wrong".

Applejack cupped her face.

"You are not a mistake. You're alive fir a reason. So what if you were unplanned, you're wanted. You are. Me and our friends want you around. We love you".

Rainbow smiled a little. Applejack did too.

"Ahh love you. And it breaks mah heart that you weren't able ta have a normal childhood. This whole birthday sadness ends now. It's your birthday, the day the love of mah life was brought inta this messed up yet beautiful world and made it better and ah will not let this day pass without a proper celebration. What do ya say??".

Rainbow smiled. She sniffled. "Okay".

Applejack smiled and hugged her.

"Now birthday girl. What do ya wanna do first??".

Rainbow thought. "Can we go get some hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts?".

Applejack nodded. "Ah also have two tickets to the funplex".

Rainbow gasped and smiled. "Oh my gosh, really??".

Applejack smiled and nodded. Rainbow cheered. The girls left to get their coats. They went out and had a great time. The two drank the best hot chocolate they've ever tasted. Then they drove on down to the funplex. Only the indoor games were open.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash played in the arcade. They even did the 3D shooting game. Rainbow had a great time.

"That was awesome AJ", Rainbow said holding her hand as they walked.

"I'm hungry", she said

Applejack smiled. "C'mon. There's one more place ah wanna take ya. And yes there's food there".

Rainbow looked at her curiously.

Applejack smirked. "Don't ask. It's a surprise".

Rainbow was very interested. She liked surprises. Most of the time.

"Are we there yet??", Rainbow groaned. Applejack her blindfolded and was guiding her.

"Almost there babe. Hold up".

Rainbow sighed as she held onto her arm as they walked. Applejack suddenly stopped.

"Okay. We're here".

Applejack took off the blindfold. Rainbow blinked.

"Surprise!!".

Rainbow gasped, her hand going over to her mouth. She looked around at all her friends. Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Spike all stood there. Rainbow looked around the room. They saw blue decorations all over the room. It was amazing.

Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash.

"So, what do ya think??. Do you like it??".

Rainbow had tears in her eyes. She let out a sob, her hands over her mouth.
She nodded. Applejack pulled her in for a hug.

"I love it".

Rainbow hugged Applejack and sniffled. She wiped her tears away. Applejack kissed her head and pulled away.

"When you told me that you weren't allowed ta celebrate chur birthday when you were smaller, it broke mah heart. This was already planned so we decided that you needed a party".

Rainbow looked at the others. They smiled at the emotional girl.

"And we thought that you should have the best birthday ever. And there's many more amazing birthdays ta come in the future. Just know that you're amazin and your birthday shouldn't be a bad thing. It's good. An thank Celestia you were born. Ah don't know where Ah'd be if ya weren't in mah life. Ah love you".

Rainbow smiled. Applejack pulled her in for a kiss. Rainbow smiled and pulled away giggling. She looked at the girls.

"You guys are the best".

"Let's get this party started!!", Pinkie exclaimed throwing confetti in the air.

The girls started up the music. Pinkie and Spike brought out the cake. Twilight took pictures. The seven friends spent the evening laughing and dancing and eating.

"You think Rainbow Dash liked her party??", Twilight asked. Applejack looked over at Rainbow who was asleep on the couch. She smiled.

"Yup. She tuckered herself out".

The girls decided that they should clean up. They cleaned up whatever they felt like. Applejack picked Rainbow up.

The girls all went over to the couple's house. They put the left over cake in the fridge and the presents in the living room. They said goodnight and they left. Applejack smiled and walked upstairs.

Laying Rainbow Dash down on the bed, she took the girl's shoes off. Suddenly Rainbow shifted. The girl's eyes opened. She saw Applejack. The girl looked so cute. Rainbow sat up and looked around.

"Was I dreaming??", she asked.

Applejack chuckled and shook her head.

"No. It all happened. Have pictures ta proof it".

Rainbow got up.

"Well I need to change", she said. The girls changed and got into bed, turning the lights off. Applejack looked Rainbow Dash and smiled and sang softly.

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Rainbow. Happy birthday to you".

Applejack kissed Rainbow on the forehead.

Happy birthday baby. Ah love you".

Rainbow smiled. "Thanks AJ. For everything".

Suddenly her smile fell.

"Hey Applejack??".

Applejack looked at her in the dark.

"Yeah??".

Rainbow bit her lip. Applejack could feel her hesitation in the room.

"Can we uh... maybe if you want um.... do you think we could do this again next year??. We don't have to but this is the best birthday ever and-".

"Rainbow??".

Rainbow stopped talking. Applejack smiled and hugged her.

"Of coarse we can. It's your birthday after all".

Rainbow smiled.

"Hey AJ??".

"Yeah??".

Rainbow closed her eyes and sighed.

"Thank you".

Soon a soft snore filled the room. Applejack smiled. She tucked a strand of hair behind Rainbow's ear.

"You're welcome. Happy birthday".
