The audience clapped as the two baby black bears were taken and carried away by the zookeepers.

Charm smiled.

"They were so cute." He said to the wildlife expert, Dare, and Applejack.

The two nodded in agreement. Applejack laughed.

"Ah still can't get over the fact that the monkey-."

"Let's not talk about that." Charm interrupted with a smile.

Applejack, Dare, and the audience burst into laughter. Charm chuckled, obviously embarrassed.

"So what's next??." He asked, trying to change the subject.

Dare chuckled, rubbing his hands.

"I think Applejack knows."

He turned and looked at the singer. He gave a bow

"Would you like to do the honors??."

Applejack gave a nod. "Sure, Dare."

Applejack turned to the two show host she had talked to all those months ago. She giggled before she started.

"Well, Charm." She said. "You remember a certain a girl we had on this show last time ah came in here??."

Charm's eyebrows raised in realization.

"Oh my god. She's here??."

"Yeah." Applejack nodded. "She's right backstage."

Charm then looked at Applejack concerned.

"I heard about what happened. Is she okay??."

"You can ask 'er yirself when she gets out here." Applejack said, smiling.

"Alright." Charm said. "Get her out here and lets welcome her back."

Applejack looked at the audience.

"In you case guys don't know. Rainbow Dash is a half-human half-wolf hybrid."

Applejack could see confusion and disbelief in some of the audience members. She smiled.

"Yeah." She said. "Ah know. What?? But it's true. And when she gets out here, we'll show y'all what ah mean. But the reason ah'm bringin' it up is because of the fact that she is part wolf."

The host became serious.

"She had instincts of a wolf n' any sudden movement will get 'er attention and she will get curious and probably try ta get ta whatever is movin', so ah need everyone ta try n stay in their seats and please don't make a lot of noises. She's not use to being in front of a crowd just yet."

"But she was so sweet." Charm said. "She didn't look like she would hurt a fly."

"She is very sweet." Applejack said. "She is. And very clingy and very sensitive, but she tried ta hide it by not showin' her emotions at all and keepin' to herself, which is somethin' she's workin' on in therapy. But she is genuinely well behaved and a great friend to have."

Applejack looked over backstage to Jackson and Rainbow was. Rainbow bit her lip. She looked up at Jackson, nervously. Jackson motioned for her to go.

"Rainbow." Applejack called, getting Rainbow's attention.

Applejack held out her hands.

"C'mere, RD."

Rainbow took a few steps until she was just at the end of the curtain. Rainbow peeked out from behind the curtain at the people, her teddy bear in her arms. She looked around then at Applejack. She slowly got down on all fours and walked out into view. She quickly headed right for Applejack.

Quiet gasps and whispers were coming from the crowd as Rainbow walked out. Rainbow ignored the stares and went up to Applejack. She stood up straight and curiously looked at Charm. Charm was smiling.

"Hey." He said. "Remember me??."

Rainbow walked up to him. He sniffed him, examining. She grinned.

"Oh yeah! You're the guy"

The audience laughed. Charm chuckled.

"Yeah. That's me. Who's that??."

He pointed at the teddy bear in her arms. Rainbow looked down at it and then back up.

"Mr.Bearbear." She replied.

Rainbow looked at Applejack. Rainbow went over to her and stood beside her. Rainbow took Applejack's arm and draped it around her shoulder. The audience awwwed at the scene.

"So Applejack." Dare spoke up. "Care to tell us about Rainbow Dash??."

Rainbow looked at her. Applejack looked right back at her and smiled.

"Sure."

Applejack pointed at the ears in top of Rainbow's head.

"These are real." She said. "Ah promise. And so is her tail. Like ah said, she is part wolf. So that means she's somehow part dog."

Applejack scratched the back of one of Rainbow's ears. Rainbow smiled and leaned into the touch. Her tail wagged happily.

"That is too cute." Charm said shaking his head.

Applejack looked at him.

"Let's go sit, so we can talk."

The man nodded. The four of them took a seat on the couch, Charm in his desk. Applejack pulled Rainbow Dash onto her lap. Charm gave an adored awww.

"Alright." He said. "So I heard that you two are a couple now."

Applejack and Rainbow blushed. Applejack chuckled.

"Um..... yeah."

Charm was surprised. "Really?? When did that start??."

Applejack looked at Rainbow.

"Maybe a few months ago." She said.

She smiled at Rainbow who was staring at her.

"Hi." She said. "Can ah help you??."

Rainbow leaned in and kissed Applejack on the left cheek. She lightly tapped her other cheek. The audience awwwed. Rainbow looked around at the audience before curling up, attempting to hide her face in the crook of Applejack's neck.

Applejack wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist.

You could practically feel every heart in the room melt. Applejack looked at the show host.

"So." He said. "I heard she was in the hospital for a few days."

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. She was."

"And it was all over the news." Charm said. "But I wanna hear it from you and give your point of view on what happened, if it's alright with Rainbow."

Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash.

"Is it okay, baby, if we talk about what happened??. Are you comfortable if we talk about it?? We won't if you don't think you can handle hearing it."

Rainbow nodded. "Can I tell him??."

Applejack was surprised. Rainbow wanted to tell him herself? Just a few weeks ago she was afraid of even telling the doctor or Applejack what happened. Now she wants to tell an audience on live tv??.

Applejack smiled. "If you want to, of course. But if you don't wanna keep talkin' or if it starts ta upset you, just stop n' Ah'll pick up from where you left off."

Rainbow nodded. She looked at Charm. She held on to her teddy bear tightly.

"Um. It happened when we went to the mall."

Charm and Dare nodded. Rainbow started to shift around.

"It was my birthday, so Applejack-."

"It happened on your birthday??." Dare said in surprise.

Rainbow nodded. The audience gave a sad awww. Rainbow glanced around before continuing.

"And um, Applejack was taking me shopping and we were walking around. Then, some fans came up to us, asking Applejack for autographs and stuff like that, because she's famous."

Applejack chuckled.

"And so I decided that I didn't want to be in the way-."

"Which you weren't." Applejack cut in.

Rainbow smiled at her and put a hand on her mouth.

"Shhh. This is my time to shine, Ms.Countrystar."

Everyone started to crack up and go oooooh. AJ, Dare, and Charm laughed so hard they were red in the face. Applejack laid her head on Rainbow's shoulder. She giggled uncontrollably.

Rainbow giggled, watching her girlfriend.

Charm took a deep breath, his cheeks hurting.

"She's a funny one."

Applejack nodded. "You have no idea."

She looked at Rainbow, smiling. "Alright." She laughed. "Keep talkin'. Ah'll shut up."

Rainbow giggled and looked at Charm.

"Okay. So Applejack is talking to the fans or whatever she was doing. I went over to a bench to sit and waited. A few minutes later man came up to me and asked if he could sit down with me. I said ok. He sat down next to me"

"And that was the man that hurt you??." Dare asked.

Rainbow nodded.

"He asked for my name and I said I couldn't tell him because he was a stranger. Applejack said not to tell strangers my name. And I had a bad feeling about him. I could tell something was up. Then, he said that he wanted to show me something outside. I said no."

Rainbow took a deep breath.

"Take your time." Charm said gently.

Rainbow nodded. She looked down at Mr.Bearbear.

"He got mad." She recalled. "He pulled out a knife thingy and he said that if I didn't go with him, he would hurt Applejack with it. So I went so he'd leave her alone."

"Wow." Charm said. "That was very brave of you."

Rainbow looked at Applejack.

"Well she always protects me, so I thought I'd do the same."

Applejack felt touched, even after hearing the story more than twice already. She kissed her cheek and hugged Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow grinned, but it disappeared just as quickly. She looked at Charm again.

"And so he took me down the street. He took me into an alley a few minutes away from the mall....... and he............"

Rainbow looked away, tearing up. She sighed, trying not to cry.

"Touched me in places I didn't like."

The audience gasped and gave an awww. They couldn't believe such a horrible thing. Charm and Dare were horrified. Both men had their mouth hanging open.

"Oh my gosh." Dare said. "He did??."

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. He tried to pull my pants down but I wouldn't let him, so he beat me up."

Rainbow looked at AJ. She sighed. "Then I woke up in the hospital."

"Well." Charm said. "That must've been the scariest day in your life. He could've killed you."

Rainbow nodded slowly. "He beat me up and actually left me there to die or whatever." She said.

"Wow."

Charm looked at Applejack.

"When did you notice Rainbow was gone??."

"When a fan asked where she was. Ah turned around and ah couldn't find. A few people helped me look. We found her beanie and phone by the door of the mall."

Applejack chuckled. "She's smart. Rainbow actually dropped them on purpose so ah could know which way she went."

The men smiled, impressed.

"Very smart." Dare commented.

Rainbow smiled at the compliment.

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. We figured she was outside and that somethin' was wrong. Ah had a horrible feelin' in mah gut that somethin had happened ta her. When we found her, police were already there. Apparently someone had seen him leave and they found Rainbow Dash and called the cops."

Applejack shivered.

"She was all bruised and kinda bloody. It scared me. Ah thought fir a split moment she was dead. But luckily she wasn't. She was rushed to the hospital. Mah dad and our friends met us there."

Applejack sighed, trying to shake out the mental picture in her head.

"When ah finally saw her, she was terrified of everyone but me. She refused ta speak at all."

"At all??." Charm asked, his eyebrows raised.

"At all." Applejack replied. "She didn't talk for days on end. She had ta go through therapy, which she still does. But at first, she had refused ta say a word ta anyone."

"He said that if I told anyone, he'd find me and kill me and Applejack." Rainbow spoke up. "I was terrified that he would. He figured out who I was. That's why he took me."

Applejack's eyebrows furrowed. "Wait, what??."

Rainbow looked at her. She nodded.

"I didn't tell you this because of how guilty you felt at the time. But he knew who you were and who I was. He took me because he knew me."

Applejack's mouth fell open.

"Oh my god."

Rainbow shrugged. "Yeah. So I was scared he'd find out where we lived and that he'd come and kill us both."

Rainbow looked at Charm.

"So I didn't say anything. But eventually I felt like I couldn't hide it from them any longer. My therapist helped me out with that. I felt like if I told them what happened he'd be able to be found and they'd have a reason to put him in jail. I told my therapist some of what happened. But not all of it. Then later on I told Applejack. She cried."

"Heck yeah ah cried." AJ said. "That monster hurt mah baby. You went through hell. Plus, the guilt didn't help at all."

Rainbow pouted. She took her thumbs and placed them on either side of Applejack's lips and pushed them up to a smile.

"Smiiiile."

Applejack and the two men laughed.

"You're so cute." Applejack said, poking Rainbow's stomach.

Rainbow snickered, covering her stomach. She looked at the men.

"But." Applejack said. "If you watched the news, you'll know that the guy was caught and we were at the police station the other day and Rainbow confirmed that is was him and now we're just waiting for a court date."

The audience cheered. The two teens smiled. Charm and Dare clapped as well.

"That's amazing news." Charm said.

After the clapping ceased, he looked at the audience and pointed at Rainbow.

"This young lady is one strong girl. I think we can all agree that Rainbow Dash is amazing."

The crowd clapped.

Rainbow smiled at the compliment.

"Thank you." She said.

"Is there anything you want to say to the audience??." Charm asked. "'Cause I'm sure there's a lesson other teens and children can learn from you."

Rainbow nodded.

"I guess...... um........ always stay safe in public and i guess have a plan in case a stranger comes up to her so that whoever you're with can get you out of there."

The man nodded in agreement. Rainbow thought of what else to say.

"And um........ oh!."

Rainbow's face lit up for a moment before she relaxed.

"And if someone did hurt you or is hurting you, tell someone."

She looked at Applejack as she talked.

"Maybe a grown up or a police man or police lady. Or maybe a friend or boyfriend or girlfriend, big brother or sister, a teacher. Tell someone so that, uh, it can stop."

She looked at the audience.

"If someone out there is getting hurt like I got hurt, not just by the man, but by the people that used to take care of me last time I was on this show thing, then you should know that I understand. I know what it feels like to be scared and be hurt badly all the time. It's very scary, but if you want it to stop, you have to tell someone."

She pointed at Applejack.

"I was able to tell her and him."

She pointed at Charm.

"And they saved me. So, the same can happen to you, too. You just need to speak up."

Rainbow shrugged for a finish, grinning. Charm, Dare, and the audience all clapped.

"That very good, baby." Applejack said to Rainbow. "Ah'm so proud of you."

Rainbow smiled as Applejack kissed her cheek. Charm stood up.

"Well, Rainbow." He said. "Let me tell you. You are one strong, brave young woman. You went through hell and you came out the other side. Your story had probably touched a few hearts throughout this room and impacted people watching this at home, did you know that??."

Rainbow shook her head.

"Yeah. I'm sure someone heard you speak and maybe is taking your advice." Charm nodded his head. "I'm so glad to know that you're alright and that your molester is now in jail where he belongs."

His face softened. "Now Rainbow." He said. "You said you had all these horrible things happen to you and ended up in the hospital. All this happened on your birthday, correct?."

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. Some birthday that was."

Her ears lowered, a glum expression on her face. The crowd gave a sad awww. The show host smiled sadly at her for a moment, before his face lit up with a smile.

"Well Rainbow, we have something special for you because it was horribly ruined by what happened."

Rainbow's left ear raised up in curiosity. Charm motioned to one side of the stage. Applejack and Rainbow turned and looked. Rainbow turned to see their friends and Jackson come out on the set with a cake and colorful balloons. Rainbow covered her mouth with her hands.

The group came over to them. Rainbow and Applejack stood up. Rainbow looked at Applejack who grinned and pulled her over to their friends. She was speechless.

They began to sing Happy Birthday. The hybrid teen laughed, totally taken off guard by the surprise. She blushed a light red, covering her mouth.

When the song ended the girls and Jackson cheered and clapped.

Rainbow felt herself getting emotional.

"Surprise!!" Charm said, doing jazz hands. "Bet you didn't see that coming."

The audience laughed. Rainbow was still in shock.

"Oh my gosh." She said. "Why?? It's not my birthday."

Applejack and the men laughed.

"That's why you're so surprised??."

Rainbow nodded, making everyone laugh. Applejack smiled.

"Well, you deserve it. Yir birthday was ruined this year and it ain't fair. Plus, we were gonna have a surprise party for ya that day when we got home. It was all set up, but it went ta waste."

Applejack gestured towards the cake.

"So here you go. Happy, though very late, birthday."

Rainbow walked over the the rolling cart the cake was on. The cake was white with baby blue edges and had rainbow colored frosting flowers on the corners. 'Happy Birthday, Rainbow' was written in red cursive letters. Rainbow licked her lips. It looked so good.

"Thank you, guys so much." She said. "I didn't expect you guys to do this. You didn't have to."

"We wanted to." Sunset said, her arms folded. "You deserve a proper birthday celebration."

Pinkie bounced up to Rainbow. She hugged her tightly, smiling.

"Yeah. You're the bestest friend ever!!."

"Oh and Rainbow Dash, darling" Rarity said, placing a hand on her hip, smirking.

Rainbow looked at Rarity.

"Yeah??."

The girls simply pointed behind Rainbow. Rainbow looked over her right shoulder. She was surprised to see Applejack on the set, sitting in a chair with a keyboard set up in front of her, smiling. There was a microphone stand in front of her.

Rainbow turned around.

"Applejack. What are you doing??." She asked

Applejack motioned for Rainbow to sit in a stool that was positioned beside her. Rainbow walked over and took a seat. She looked at Applejack.

"Rainbow." She said into the microphone. "Ah can't tell you how happy ya make me and ah want cha ta know that ah love you with all mah heart n' that no matter what Ah'll always love you and be there for ya. Ah wrote this while you were in the hospital and ah was just waitin' for the right moment. So here it is. Ah really hope you like it."

Applejack began to play. Rainbow smiled widely as the song began. Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash and she began.

One word. That all ya said.

Somethin' in yir voice caused me to turn mah head.

Applejack grinned at Rainbow.

Your smile. It captured me. You were in mah future, far as ah could see.

She shrugged a little, shaking her head.

And ah don't know how it happened, but it happened still. You asked me if ah love you. If ah always will.

Well, you had me from hello. Ah felt love start ta grow. The moment that ah looked into yir eyes, you won me.

It was over from the start. You completely stole mah heart
and now you won't let go.

Ah never even had a chance you know.

A small applause came from the audience as Applejack continued to play, the keys on the keyboard making a beautiful, soft melody. Then it was quiet, the only was the music. Rainbow was smiling, a light blush on her cheeks. Applejack glanced down every so often at the keys then back up at Rainbow Dash.

Inside, ah built the wall
So high around mah heart, ah thought ah'd never fall

Rainbow Dash frowned. She remembered Applejack telling her how her last girlfriend had used her for her money and fame. She must've felt so hurt and betrayed.

One touch. You brought it down.
The bricks of mah defenses scattered on the ground

And ah swore at me I wasn't gonna love again. The last time was the last time ah let someone in.

Applejack smiled. She motioned for Rainbow to come over. Rainbow stood up and walked up to her.

But you had me from Hello.

Rainbow smiled again. She stood right in front of Applejack, looking into her green eyes.

Ah felt love start ta grow. The moment that ah looked into yir eyes, you won me.

It was over from the start. You completely stole mah heart and now you won't let go.

Ah never even had a chance, you know.

That's all you said. Somethin' in yir voice caused me ta turn mah head.

The music became softer and slower.

Girl, I've loved you from hello.

The music slowed down until Applejack hit the final note. Everyone erupted in cheers and thunderous applause. Rainbow Dash smiled and giggled.

Applejack stood up and walked around the piano to Rainbow. The two embraced. Rainbow hugged her tightly. She was beyond happy. Applejack had wrote a song just for her.

Rainbow Dash pulled away. The two looked into each other's eyes. She leaned up and kissed Applejack. Applejack kissed back, wrapping her arms around Rainbow's waist. They both smiled into the kiss. The cheering grew louder along with whistles.

Rainbow and Applejack parted and looked at each other.

"Ah hope you liked it." Applejack said quietly.

Rainbow laughed. "I loved it." She replied.

Applejack sighed in a relief.

"That's a relief. Ah was afraid it was too much, too soon."

Rainbow shook her head.

"No. It was perfect."

Applejack grinned. "Well, you deserve nothin' but the best especially life hasn't been very kind to ya."

Rainbow wrapped her arms around Applejack's neck.

"Well, I met you. So that's a really good thing. So I wouldn't say it completely unkind. I don't care about anything else."

"Me neither." Applejack agreed. "Ah don't need anythin' but you in mah life. Ah don't care about the money, the fame, the fans, the nice house n clothes ah have. If you were ta leave, all of it would mean nothin' ta me. Ah love you, Rainbow."

Rainbow pecke her on the lips.

"I love you, too, AJ."

Rainbow has had a hard life. Full of pain and hurt and fear. But Applejack knew it only made her stronger. A better person.

It made Rainbow who she was now and she was so grateful for her, even if she was different. Everyone could see how different Rainbow was to everyone around her. The ears and tail were hard to miss when not being hidden.

But she swore that she would always take care of Rainbow Dash and love her. Just like she did from the start
