Rainbow sleepily flipped through the channels on the tv. She fought against the medication the doctors had given to her. The bags under her eyes made her eyelids feel like they weighed a ton.

Rainbow stopped on Nickelodeon. The very first Spongebob movie was on. Rainbow stopped and put the remote down. She stared at the screen blankly. She gazed around the room.

Rainbow was trying to keep her mind busy so she couldn't fall asleep. She did not want to go to sleep. Sleep was bad. Sleep brought nightmares. Ever since she had to tell the police what happened to her and had to look at his picture, she saw the man whenever she slept. It was had gotten worse since the news was now filled with the face of the man that had molested her on her birthday.

She woke up sometimes at night, sweaty and panicking. She'd stay up, on Applejack's phone, afraid to go back to sleep.

She didn't tell Applejack or the doctors, so they wouldn't worry. Rainbow felt like a bother to them already. She was already taking Applejack away from her job and her friends. Applejack was already stressed out because of her and what happened to her. She didn't want Applejack to worry. Plus, she could handle a little sleepiness. She'd stayed awake all night a couple of times before.

Rainbow heard the hospital door slide open. She looked at the doorway to see Applejack walk in with a little bag. She smiled.

"Hey, baby. Ah got cha somethin."

This spiked Rainbow's alertness. She sat up.

"What is it?? Let me see!."

Her tail wagged in excitement. Applejack walked to the bed, grinning.

She pinched Rainbow's cheek.

"You're so cute." She cooed.

Rainbow pushed her hand away, blushing. Applejack reached into the bag and pulled out one of Rainbow's favorite squeaky toys. Rainbow's face lit up.

Applejack held it up as lightly tossed it to her. Rainbow caught it in her mouth. She bit down, hearing the satisfying high pitched squeak.

She crossed her legs and chewed on the toy slowly. Applejack sat down in the chair next to the bed, putting her shoulder bag down in the floor.

She watched Rainbow Dash for a moment. She frowned.

"Wait a second." She said. "The doctor said the medication should've made you extremely sleepy by now. We're you still awake??."

Rainbow paused and looked up at her. She shrugged, looking away. Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"That reminds me. Why do ah keep wakin' up every mornin ta find mah phone dead??."

Rainbow awkwardly went back to chewing. She shrugged.

Applejack gave her a look.

"Rainbow." She said, prolonging the o. "Are you hidin' somethin' from me?? Don't lie. You never get away with a lie from me."

Rainbow shrunk a little, knowing Applejack had backed her into a corner.

She pulled the squeaky toy out of her mouth and shrugged.

"I don't wanna sleep." She said.

Applejack's face softened. "Why not?."

Rainbow shrugged.

"Rainbow Dash." Applejack said. "Look at me."

Rainbow looked Applejack in the face. Applejack, like always, had nothing but concern for her on her face. It made Rainbow feel bad.

"Are you havin' trouble sleepin'??." Applejack asked.

Rainbow couldn't lie to her. She wanted to, but she couldn't. Rainbow gave in and nodded.

"Yeah."

Applejack scooted closer.

"What's wrong??."

Rainbow sighed. "Whenever I close my eyes I see him."

Applejack deflated a little. "Oh Rainbow. How come you didn't tell me ir the doctor??. You havin' nightmares??."

Rainbow nodded. "They keep my up and I'm scared to sleep."

Rainbow wrapped her arms around herself.

"I don't wanna see him anymore, but I'm scared that when we leave, he'll find me again and hurt me and you."

Applejack reached out and took her hand.

"Baby. Ain't nothin' gonna hurt us. Trust me. You're gonna be fine. He'll be caught n' thrown in jail."

Rainbow sighed. "I hope you're right. Because I think that's why I'm scared."

Applejack smiled. "Let's call the nurse n' tell her ta get the doctor."

Rainbow nodded slowly. She fought to keep her eyes open. Applejack pressed the call nurse button. When the nurse came in, she was surprised to see Rainbow still awake. Applejack asked her to get Rainbow's doctor because Rainbow had to tell her something.

The nurse went to get Dr.Fixer. She came in a little while later.

"What seems to be the problem??." She asked as she walked in.

"Rainbow here," Applejack said. "told me that she's bee having nightmares n' that she's scared ta go ta sleep so she's been wakin' up at night n' stayin' awake."

"Hm." Dr.Fixer said. "I was wondering why the medicine wasn't working on you."

She walked up to Rainbow. She took one look at Rainbow and frowned. She looked almost concerned.

"Rainbow??. What's your name??."

Rainbow snapped out of spacing out. She looked completely out of it.

"Huh??."

"I asked you what your name is." The doctor repeated. "What is your name??."

"Ohh!!." Rainbow said a bit loudly.

Then she frowned. "My what??."

She started to laugh. Applejack and the doctor watched her as Rainbow sat there laughing.

"Llama llama."

"Rainbow Dash." The doctor said.

Rainbow looked up at her, smiling unbelievably widely. "Hi!!."

The doctor pointed at Applejack.

"Who is she??."

Rainbow had a slow reaction. She looked at the blonde singer. She smiled and waved.

"Applejack."

"What's two plus four??." Applejack asked.

Rainbow giggled, her eyes struggling to stay open. "Ummmm...... nine four."

"Yeah." Dr.Fixer said. "I'm gonna go get some medication to help with her sleeping. She's sleep deprived and that's dangerous. She needs to be asleep pronto."

Applejack nodded. "Alright."

"Make sure she goes pee before I give her the medication." Dr.Fixer said. "The medication will relax her body completely."

Applejack nodded.

The doctor left. Applejack took Rainbow to the bathroom. She assisted Rainbow in walking. She got Rainbow back in bed afterwards.

The two waited for the doctor to return. Dr.Fixer came back, holding a bag of fluid. She walked up to the bed, where the IV fluid bag was being hung.

"Here we go."

She replaced the bag of fluids with the bag she had. She hook up the IV tube to it, watching a drop drop into the capsule.
She let a it run through the tube and into Rainbow's hand. Rainbow looked at her hand.

"My hand feels cold." She said.

The doctor smiled. "That's normal. Now just lay back and relax."

Rainbow laid back. She yawned. The teen laid there for a few minutes. She began to nod off. Soon her eyes were too heavy. Applejack moved so she was sitting in the bed. She ran her fingers through Rainbow's hair.

"Don't fight it, baby." Applejack told Rainbow Dash, her voice soft. "Just close yir eyes n' rest."

Rainbow gave up the fight and closed her eyes, holding Applejack's hand loosely. She was out in a minute.

"Rainbow??." The doctor called, to make sure Rainbow was really sleeping.

"Wake up, Rainbow."

Nothing. Only a light snore was heard from her, the rise and fall of her chest.

"She's out." Applejack smirked. "Thanks, Doc."

Dr.Fixer smiled. "No problem."

Suddenly a knock on the door got their attention. They looked over to see the female police officer from before standing there. Applejack and the doctor looked at each other.

Why was she here?? Did they have more information on Rainbow's kidnapper?

Dr.Fixer motioned for the officer to come in. The officer opened the sliding door and walked in. She closed the door behind her and walked up to them.

"Good afternoon ladies." She greeted. "Have a minute??."

"Hello." Dr.Fixer said. "Don't worry. Rainbow is under medication, so she won't hear you."

The officer looked at Rainbow Dash, then back to the doctor.

"That's actually a good thing." She said. "I'm not sure if I wanna have her hear this yet."

"What're you talking about?." Applejack asked.

The officer looked at her.

"We arrested him." She said.

Applejack gasped.

"You found him??."

The officer nodded. "Yup. Someone spotted him in a town nearby n' reported him. We got him. We just need Rainbow Dash to come down and confirm that's it's him and then we'll arrest him and we'll go from there."

Applejack smiled. She felt so happy and relieved. That monster was caught. Rainbow didn't have to live in fear of him anymore.

She looked over at Rainbow Dash. The girl was sound asleep.

Just wait till she found out.
