Applejack ran her fingers through Rainbow's soft yet thick hair. She had Rainbow laying on her stomach, Rainbow's chin resting on one of her arms, curled up at Applejack's side. The other arm was holding her teddy bear, moving it like little kids would when playing with dolls or action figures. Applejack listened to the heart monitor beeping slowly, indicating Rainbow was still alive and well and there.

Ever since they got gotten to the hospital, Applejack had felt the need to always be in physical contact with Rainbow Dash. To remind her that Rainbow, who kept talking to a minimum for some reason, was still there and safe. Applejack had woken up because of a nightmare early that morning about Rainbow Dash getting killed and it shook her to the core. She had stayed up that morning, just watching over Rainbow Dash, thinking about the nightmare.

The therapist had come in around lunch time and she had Rainbow draw a picture of what happened, since she still refused to say what happened. It was killing Applejack. She needed to know what happened that day.

She feared the worst, since it was only logical. It had caused Rainbow's selective mutism. Applejack looked down at Rainbow Dash to see the hybrid girl already looking at her.

"Yes??." Applejack said, grinning. "How can ah help you, cutie??."

Rainbow shrugged, not saying anything. She starting to slowly push herself up to a kneeling position.

Applejack sat up.

"Rainbow. Careful." She said.

She helped Rainbow sit up. Rainbow looked at her.

"Applejack??." She said softly.

Applejack paused. She knew to listen and listen well when Rainbow spoke now, since she never knew when the next time she'd hear her voice again.

"Yeah, Rainbow??." Applejack replied, almost eagerly.

Rainbow bit her bottom lip. She played with Applejack's left hand, flipping with and rubbing the tan skin.

"Um..... i have something I want to tell you. It's about what happened... um...."

Applejack sat up in high alert. About what happened? Was she finally going to tell her??

"Yeah??." Applejack said. "You sure??."

Rainbow Dash nodded.

"Yeah. Um....."

She took a deep breath. Applejack noticed her hands were lightly trembling.

"Um... when um... when we went to the mall...... and when those people came up to you for your autograph or whatever, I uh... I... um..."

"It's okay, baby." Applejack said gently . "Take yir time. No need ta rush. Talk when you're ready."

Rainbow nodded, closing her eyes. She took a few deep breaths.

"I didn't want to get in your way. so I went over to a bench and sat down and waited for you there."

Applejack nodded for her to continue.

"Then a man came over and sat down next to me."

Rainbow swallowed, already feeling her anxiety rise. Applejack took her by the hand.

"It's okay, Rainbow. You're safe. You can tell me."

Applejack knew she'd have to get police in here so they could hear Rainbow's story. That is, if Rainbow didn't go mute again.

Rainbow took a moment before she talked again.

"Then, um... he asked me what my name was."

Applejack was sure Rainbow hadn't told him her name. She'd taught Rainbow not to.

"Did you??." She asked.

Rainbow shook his head. "I said I couldn't tell him because he's a stranger."

Applejack nodded, relieved Rainbow Dash didn't give that man any of her personal information. That would've been bad.

"Then he tried to get me to go outside with him." Rainbow said. "He said he wanted to show me a flower he found. But I had a feeling he was bad, so I said no. Then he got mad."

Rainbow's eyes shifted away, looking at nothing, as if she was remembering that horrible day.

"He pulled out a knife. He said that if I didn't go with him, "your girlfriend is gonna get it."

Applejack remembered Rainbow telling her that he had threatened her, but she hadn't known Rainbow had was taken at knife point.

"And so you went??."

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. We walked out of the mall."

She suddenly smiled. "Did you see my hat and phone?"

Applejack nodded, smiling proudly. She remembered finding Rainbow's hat on the floor of the mall.

"Yeah. We did."

Applejack leaned over and kissed Rainbow's forehead.

"Ah'm so proud that you remembered to do that. That was extremely smart of you ta leave that so we knew which way you were taken."

Rainbow's smiled disappear.

"So, um.... We walked down the street for a few minutes."

Applejack nodded, going back to being serious.

"He pulled me into an alley way." Rainbow recalled, her voice small. "Then he......"

Rainbow trailed off. She exhaled shakily, a look in her eyes that said she was remembering what happened.

"Rainbow." Applejack said gently. "What did he do??."

Rainbow looked at her.

"He touched me in bad places." She whimpered. "He told me not to fight or else he'd kill me. I remember his hand in my pants and up my shirt."

Applejack was horrified. Her Rainbow had been molested. She felt sick to her stomach.

Rainbow crossed her legs, pulling the blanket over her shoulders, covering herself.

"I kept begging him to stop. He wouldn't. He just kept saying to relax and enjoy it. But, I didn't."

Rainbow's eyes filled up with unshed tears. She sniffled.

"H-He touched me and held me tightly. I remember he tried to pull my pants down so I tried to yell. So he punched me. He told me I was a bad girl and I needed to be taught a lesson. He threw me on the ground and he started kicking me. He punched me in the face and the stomach. He threw me around a lot. I begged him to stop. I was so scared."

Applejack wrapped her arms around Rainbow. Rainbow let out a sob, the tears sliding down her cheeks. She clung to AJ.

"He kept punching and kicking. Then he punched me on the side of my face."

Rainbow pointed at her temple. A small black and purple bruise stood out. She sniffled.

"Then I don't remember anything else. Then I woke up here."

Rainbow hiccuped, still crying.

"I-I thought i was gonna die and that I was n-n-never going to see you again."

Tears burned Applejack's eyes. She was horrified by Rainbow's story. She could not believe that had happened to her.

"Rainbow." She said, not knowing what else to say.

Rainbow sobbed, her shoulders shaking.

"I'm sorry. If I had just tried harder. If I hadn't gone with him"

Applejack shook her head.

"Don't be. It wasn't yir fault, baby. Ah promise it wasn't."

She hugged Rainbow Dash tightly, running the crying girl's back. She couldn't believe Rainbow had gone through so much trauma. On her birthday, too. Applejack held her in her arms, afraid to let her go. She thought about all that Rainbow Dash had told her.

"A-Applejack??."

Applejack looked down at Rainbow. Rainbow wiped her own tears away.

"Yeah?."

Rainbow hesitated before she asked, "Do you think the police would want to know that??."

Applejack immediately nodded.

"Of course, Rainbow."

"Can we go tell the doctor?? I think a police officer that was there when they found me gave her their phone number in case we have anything to tell them. I think."

Applejack nodded. "Alright. Ah'll call the nurse."

Applejack found the remote control laying beside her. She picked it up and pressed the red call nurse button.

"So you want to tell us what happened??." The female officer asked.

Rainbow timidly nodded. A female police officer, a male officer, Rainbow's doctor, and the therapist all sat across from the couple, sitting in chairs so they were close to Rainbow's level. It made her less intimidated by them and easier for her to speak to them without fear.

"Alright, Rainbow." The female officer said. "Tell us what you remember that day."

Rainbow took a deep breath and began to tell all she told Applejack. The female officer recorded it on a voice recorder. She paused when Rainbow got choked up or if she started to get panicky and scared, to which Applejack and Rainbow's therapist stepped in and helped out. Other than that, they stayed silent and let Rainbow speak. Rainbow also described what the man looked like.

After she was done, she took a deep breath and relaxed.

"You're very brave, Rainbow." The female officer said with a small smile. "Now that we have this information, we can charge the man that abducted you when we catch him."

Rainbow and Applejack nodded.

Then the woman said, "Rainbow. We have a few pictures of people we think it might be. I want you to take a look at them and tell us if you see the man that hurt you. Can you do that??."

Rainbow slowly nodded. She looked at Applejack.

"Pictures?."

Applejack nodded. "Yeah, RD. Just pictures. You can do it."

Rainbow Dash nodded. The male officer came up to them. Rainbow scooted away immediately, grabbing on to Applejack's arm by the jacket.

"Rainbow, Rainbow." Dr.Fixer spoke up. "He won't touch you. He's just gonna show you the pictures."

Rainbow looked up at the male police officer, untrustingly. Applejack rubbed Rainbow's hand to calm her.

"Baby. Police help people." She whispered. "He won't hurt cha. He protects you. Okay?? And she's right there."

Applejack pointed at the female officer.

"If he tries ta hurt cha, she'll stop him."

Applejack looked at the woman in uniform.

"Right??." She asked, giving the woman a look, silently asking her to agree so Rainbow would feel safe.

The female officer gave a firm nod.

"You betcha."

The woman tapped the male officer, smirking.

"I could take him down easily. Have before during training."

She faked a glare at her partner.

"So watch yourself."

The man nodded. He sat down in front of Rainbow, holding a flip book.

"Alright, Rainbow. I'll show you the pictures and you tell me when you see the man that hurt you."

He started flipping through slowly. Everyone watched Rainbow Dash, hoping and praying she would identify the man.

As he flipped through the pictures of different men that had been arrested, Rainbow looked at each other carefully.

When it was about the seventh or eight page, she suddenly inhaled shakily. The male officer noticed and paused.

"Do you see him??." He asked gently.

Rainbow's breathing quickened slightly. She nodded. She reached out and pointed at a picture of a man with orangey yellow colored skin, orange choppy hair. He had a tattoo of a music note under his right eye. He looked really mean in the mugshot.

The officer pointed at the picture, looking at Rainbow.

"Him??."

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. I remember that tattoo and his skin color. He had really rough and hard hands too. But he talked really... soft. He sounded like he could be a soccer dad or something."

Applejack smiled at the comparison.

"We're gonna do the test again." The female officer spoke up. "Just to make sure."

The man slipped to the first set of pictures.

"Now, Rainbow. Relook at each picture carefully and tell me when you see the man that hurt that day."

Rainbow nodded, understanding.

They did the test again, everyone watching Rainbow intensely for a reaction. When they got to the same page of the man she had pointed at before, Rainbow nodded.

"I see him." She said quietly.

"Can you point him out to us?." The male officer requested.

Rainbow reached out and pointed at the same guy. The police took a look at the mugshot. It was confirmed..

"His name is Sour Peel." The woman said. "A thirty year old convicted criminal who had served a ten year sentence for the rape of a nineteen year old girl and the abduction and murder of a twelve year old."

Applejack's stomach dropped. A rapist/ murderer had been in contact Rainbow Dash. She was nearly one of his victims. Applejack wanted him either in jail now, or to cap his ass.

The male officer smiled, closing the book.

"You did a great job, Rainbow. You're a very brave young lady."

Rainbow smiled softly back. "Thank you."

The officers got up.

"So now that we know who we're looking for, we can start a search for him. We'll even have a story put on the news. If that's okay with you, Rainbow, we'll need to have a picture of you to give so they can put it on the news."

Rainbow thought about it. She then nodded.

"Okay."

Applejack smiled at them.

"Thank you so much." She said. "Fir everythin"

"No need." The female cop said. "We're just doing our job."

The officers said good bye and promised to keep them updated on anything and to come by the next day. They left. Rainbow's doctor checked on Rainbow's healing injuries before she left as well.

Her therapist walked up to them, smiling.

"That was a very brave thing you did, Rainbow. A lot of people would've been too scared to go to the police. I'm proud of you."

Rainbow smiled a little. "Thanks."

"You're very welcome." The therapist said. "So, now you girls can relax. I can tell that took a lot out of you, Rainbow. You seemed drained"

Rainbow yawned as if on cue. She nodded.

"Yeah."

The therapist nodded. "Alright. I'll be back later on with your doctor so we can talk about medication we think you should be starting. See ya later, kiddo."

"Bye." Rainbow waved, smiling.

She walked out, closing the curtains and the glass sliding door behind her. Rainbow let out a breath.

Applejack looked at her. She leaned over and kissed her on the head.

"Ah love you."

Rainbow looked at her. She smiled wider and hugged her girlfriend around the waist.

"You okay??." AJ asked.

Rainbow nodded, resting her head on Applejack.

"Yeah. Just tired now. I wanna sleep."

Applejack thought that was a good idea. A nap.

"Good idea, baby. Take a nap. Ah'll wake ya up if ah need ta."

Rainbow laid down, careful of the IV embedded in her hand. She got as comfortable as possible. Applejack ran her fingers through her hands, rubbing her ears. Rainbow Dash closed her eyes, loving the feeling of being petted.

It put her to sleep in a matter of nearly two minutes. Applejack smiled. Rainbow snored lightly, one ear twitching a little every so often.

Applejack sighed. Good. Rainbow was asleep. She took out her phone and called Sunset.

She put the phone to her ear, listening to it ring.

"Hey, Applejack" Sunset's voice came through the other end.

AJ smiled. "Howdy, Sunset."

"How did it go?? Did she identify the guy that took her??"

She looked at her sleeping girlfriend.

"Yup. She did. Rainbow finally told police what happened the day she was beat up. The bastard molested her n' then beat her up. Turns out he's wanted fir rape."

She heard Sunset gasp.

"Oh my goodness. That's horrible. Poor Rainbow Dash."

"Ah know." Applejack sighed. "She's a strong girl."

"We'll come by and see you today. Just to see her again. We miss you girls."

Applejack smiled. "Thanks. We miss you too."

"Do you think she'll be okay??." Sunset asked. "Something big like getting molested can very traumatizing. She'll most likely never ever forget about it."

Applejack had feared the same. She looked down at Rainbow. The hybrid teenager was unconsciously chewing on her pillow, slightly drooling.

Applejack giggled. Typical Rainbow. Such a weirdo.

"Ah think she'll be okay again. She's Rainbow Dash. She has us and we'll make sure she goes back to bein' as much of her normal self again as possible."

That, Applejack swore.
