Unusual anima part 15

Enjoy :)

Rainbow's palms had started to sweat a long time ago. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She tried to keep her mind busy by chewing on the sleeve of her red sweater and watching a video. She had her knees up to her chest, curled up on Applejack's lap. Her teddy bear was tucked under her left arm.

Applejack had her phone out, letting Rainbow watch YouTube videos. She ran her fingers on Rainbow's scalp, massaging her head to try and calm her. Rainbow, at random times, leaned into the touch, enjoying the feeling. But, then a police officer or something would pass by and Rainbow would be reminded of where they were and why.

"Ladies."

The two teens looked up. They saw the female police officer that had been visiting them since the incident. The officer walked up to them.

"Cmon."

The girls stood up. They followed the woman down the hall to another hall, hand in hand. Rainbow curiously looked around at their surroundings as they walked. They came to where a large window was.

"Now, Rainbow Dash" she said. "We're gonna go inside. I want you to take a good look at the men in this room and tell us if this the same man from the mall."

Rainbow's heart began to race. She was about to come face to face with the man that had hurt her all those weeks ago. She was freaking out inside but nodded.

The officer nodded towards the large glass window.

"Don't worry." The officer said. "He's handcuffed to the table and there are other police officers inside there too, so he can't get to you. You'll be safe."

"Is that a good idea ta bring her to him??." Applejack questioned.

This was a crazy idea. Bring Rainbow to the man that was now haunting her dreams and keeping up at night and terrorizing her every thought.

The officer nodded her head.

"She has to be up close to see every detail in order to make a for sure match. She'll be okay."

Rainbow clutched Applejack's arm. Applejack looked at her.

"It's okay, RD. You'll be safe. Ah promise."

Rainbow looked up at her. She nodded slowly, trusting Applejack.

The officer motioned for them to follow her inside. The three walked in. Rainbow was very hesitant and took slow, steady steps. She walked into the room, holding onto her teddy bear.

When the man noticed her, she froze. Applejack glared at the man but then softened for Rainbow Dash. She guided a shaking Rainbow Dash up to the table. They stopped two feet in front of the metal interrogation table. The man watched them, stone cold eyes.

Applejack was told to let go of Rainbow Dash. Rainbow held on to her. Applejack had to pry her off her shirt.

"Ah'm not leavin', Rainbow." She promised. "Ah'll be right behind ya."

Rainbow whimpered but eventually let go. She hugged her teddy close to her chest. She stared at the floor, preparing herself. She took a few deep breathes, attempting to calm herself. When she was calm enough and had gathered enough courage, Rainbow looked up at the man.

They made eye contact. Rainbow felt herself freeze up. Her mind when back to that alley. She remembered everything. The things he said, the threats he made, the roughness of his hands, the fear she had felt. She remembered the feeling of his hands on her body. She remembered his breathing and the things he whispered in her ear as he assaulted her. She remembered the anger in his eyes when she tried to escape and fought against him. Then she remembered the pain that came next. Thrown around and punched and kicked over and over again.

Rainbow felt sick. She held a hand over her mouth and nodded. She slowly turned around. She felt herself shut down. She looked down at the floor.

"It's him."

The female officer nodded.

"Alright. Thank you, Rainbow."

Applejack quickly walked up to Rainbow. She noticed Rainbow's behavior.

"Rainbow??. Can you hear me??."

Rainbow didn't respond. She continued to stare, remembering.

Applejack gently reached a hand out and touched her arm. Rainbow jumped away, eyes wide. Her face crumbled, bursting into tears.

Applejack knew it. She knew something like this would happen. And just when things were getting better.

Rainbow was led out of the room, the door closing behind them. Applejack pulled Rainbow Dash in for a hug. Rainbow clung to her, sobbing. Applejack held her, rubbing her back.

"I still remember." Rainbow sobbed. "Everything. It just came back. I remember it all. What he said to me, what he did. His hands. His voice. The beating.

Applejack shushed her, not wanting her to get even more upset.

"It's gonna be alright, Rainbow. He's gonna go ta jail and you'll never see him again. You did so well, baby. You did great in there. Ah'm so proud of you."

Rainbow sniffled.

"You-You are??."

Applejack nodded. She smiled. "Yeah. Ah am. You did somethin' not many people have the courage ta do. You're so brave."

Rainbow Dash pulled away a little. She looked up at Applejack. She wiped her tears away.

"I guess so." She mumbled.

"Hey, girls."

The two looked up. They saw the female cop walking up to them.

She smiled.

"Thank you so much, girls. Now we can lock him up and then set up a court date."

Applejack exhaled. Of course. Court. Just what the media would love to hear about. They probably had a ball when they found out about Rainbow Dash and what happened to her. It was on the news, in the magazines, celebrity talk shows. She even got a few tweets from her fans giving their remarks and concerned questions about what happened, and quite a lot of surprised responses from fans, asking if she and Rainbow were dating and why Applejack hadn't told the fans.

Applejack didn't reply to the questions, knowing that they didn't need to know. It wasn't their business, even if they really were concerned fans.

"You girls are free to go." The officer said. "I really hope you have a great rest of your day."

The girls said bye and left the police station. During the drive home, Rainbow was silent. She stared out the opened window of the passenger seat. Rainbow held her beloved teddy on her lap, staring blankly.

Applejack casted glances over at her every so often.

"You hungry, RD??." She asked, when they stopped at a red light.

Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash. Rainbow nodded.

"Yeah." She said quietly.

"We'll stop n' get somethin' ta eat before we go back to the hospital." Applejack said. "What do you wanna eat??."

Rainbow shrugged, looking out the window. Applejack reached out and took one of her hands. Rainbow looked at her. Applejack smiled.

"He's gone, now." She said. "You don't have ta be afraid anymore."

Rainbow smiled widely. "I know." She said. "And you have no idea how happy I am."

Applejack smiled seeing Rainbow finally happy again. It felt good to see the Rainbow she knew and loved.

"That's great." She said. "Really great."

She leaned over and kissed her on the lips. Rainbow kissed back. The kiss lasted for a perfect second. They pulled away and smiled.

She looked back at the red light to see the light had turned green. They drove on, feeling like a weight had been lifted from their shoulders.

This were going to be okay now.

So yeah. Comment what you think :)
