Shorty

Rainbow sighed. Just great. The bowl was on the shelf at least a foot above her.

Rainbow hated when Applejack did that. Rainbow was kinda short. Or
...... okay really short. Well, compared to Applejack she was. Applejack's was 5'5 while Rainbow was 4'11. Sometimes Rainbow didn't mind it. She liked being shorter.

Sometimes....... like right now..... not so much.

Rainbow stood up on her tippy toes her arm stretching up. She strained her legs to go further. She grunted as she tried in vain to reach the shelf.

"Need help??".

Rainbow turned around. She saw Applejack standing there, a smirk on her face. Rainbow turned around.

"No. I can do it".

Applejack crossed her arms and watched for another 5 minutes as Rainbow Dash struggled and strained to reach the plate. Finally Rainbow sighed.

"Fine. Drastic times, calls for drastic measures", she said.

Rainbow lifted herself up on the counter. Applejack's eyes widened. She ran over to the teen.

"Nono. Get down!!".

She grabbed Rainbow around her waist and pulled her down. Rainbow whined as she put back on the ground.

Applejack reached up and grabbed the white bowl off the shelf. She handed it to Rainbow. Rainbow smiled and kissed her cheek.

"Thanks show off".

Applejack chuckled. "Ah'm not a show off. You're just tiny".

Applejack watched Rainbow crossed her arms irritated. Rainbow turned her back to Applejack.

"You're mean. I'm not small. You're just really big".

Applejack smiled. She wrapped her tan arms around her waist.

"Ah'm sorry. Ah know you're not short. Ah'm just tall. Ah'm just yankin yir tail a lil bit".

Applejack kissed her neck gently.
Rainbow giggled and moved away. She smiled.

"It's okay. I like being short. I can get away with stuff. Like being cute".

Applejack chuckled.

"So um, babe. What were ya plannin' on doin with the bowl??", she asked.

Rainbow grinned. She walked over to the fridge. She opened it and took out a can of soda. Applejack watched her shut the door and walked over to the counter. Rainbow put the bowl down and opened the soda can.

Applejack's face fell when Rainbow began to pour the soda into the bowl. She raised an eyebrow.

"What are you doin??".

Rainbow looked at her and turned. She walked over to the fridge again and opened it. Rainbow placed the bowl inside and shut the door. She turned and smiled.

"All gone", she declared.

Rainbow walked out of the kitchen. Applejack stood there for a moment. What the......... okay then.
-----------------------------

"Give it back!!".

Gilda and Trixie laughed mockingly. They were playing monkey in the middle with Rainbow Dash's book. Rainbow was not happy.

"C'mon guys. Give it back",Rainbow said.

Gilda held her book in her hand. It was Rainbow's favorite book. Gilda had grabbed it out of her hand while she was walking out of school.

"C'mon short stuff", Gilda mocked. "Reach up and grab it".

She held the book over her head. It was way out of reach for Rainbow. She jumped and stretched to no avail. Then they started their game again. Rainbow watched helplessly as her precious book was tossed around.

The girl ran back and forth trying to get her book back. But the girls were so tall. She couldn't even come close to reaching it.

Rainbow suddenly tripped and fell back. She landed on her back. Gilda and Trixie laughed at her.

Rainbow sat up. She was completely humiliated.

"Leave her alone!!", she heard an accent that belonged to only one person.

Rainbow looked back. She saw Applejack standing a few feet away. Rainbow smiled in relief. Applejack marched up to Gilda, who held Rainbow's book.

Applejack grabbed at the book but Gilda held it over her head. Applejack simply reached up and grabbed the book out of her hand. She snatched it away and stood back.

"Now, git".

Gilda and Trixie grumbled and turned and walked away. Applejack watched them leave. After they were gone she turned around. Applejack ran over to Rainbow Dash and kneeled down.

"Are you okay??", she asked.

Applejack helped her up. Rainbow brushed herself off.

"Yeah. I'm okay. Thanks".

Applejack watched her for a moment.

"No. You're not. Talk ta me".

Rainbow crossed her arms.

"I hate being short".

Applejack handed her the book. Rainbow took it and looked at it. She then hugged it to her body. Applejack wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist, pulling her close.

"Don't worry about that. They're just haters. They may be taller, but yir cuter".

Rainbow smiled a little.

"Thanks. You're not too bad yirself".

Applejack chuckled. "C'mon you. Piggyback ride home??".

Rainbow nodded. Rainbow book her book in her backpack. Applejack bent down. Rainbow climbed onto her back. Applejack carried her down the street to their house, making horse sounds. Rainbow laughed.

Maybe it wasn't so bad being short.
---------------------

Rainbow blew her bangs up. They fell back on her face. She repeated over and over again. Blow and fall down. Blow and fall back down.

She was bored.

The teen sighed and stared up at the ceiling. Sudenly she felt the bed shift. Then she saw Applejack over her.

Rainbow blew in her face.

"Hi".

Applejack moved back by the small blow.

"Hai there sugarcube", she said, straddling Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow sat up. She sighed.

"I'm bored", she whined. "Entertain me peasant!!".

Applejack chuckled. "So ah'm the peasant??", she asked.

Applejack pulled her up off the bed. The two stood up. Applejack grabbed her hand and spun her around. Rainbow smiled. Applejack chuckled and wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist.

"Who do ya think wears the pants in this relationship??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow smirked. "I like it when neither of us are wearing pants".

Applejack rolled her eyes.

"Well. Ah think ah wear the pants. Yir the girl here".

Rainbow pouted. "Whyyyyy".

Applejack smiled. "One, because ya pout like that. Two, you're the little kid here. Three, you're the shortest. Everyone knows the short one is the girl in the relationship".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow.

"Did ah ever tell you about how much of shorty ya are??", Applejack asked teasingly.

Rainbow gave an irritated glare. She grabbed Applejack's shirt collar with both hands. She pulled Applejack down to her height. Th eery were now at Rainbow's eye level. Applejack chuckled.

Rainbow smirked. "Did I ever tell you how much of a pushover you are??".

She then pulled Applejack into a kiss, closing her eyes. Applejack kissed back, holding Rainbow by her upper arms firmly. The kiss was gentle and sweet. Applejack slowly pushed Rainbow to a sit on the bed.

The blonde knelt down in front of her, their lips still connected. Rainbow wrapped her arms around Applejack's neck.

Finally, they pulled away. Rainbow looked down at Applejack. She smiled.

"Who's the shorter one now??", she whispered.

Applejack laughed. "Me. But you're still cute. Now C'mere you".

Applejack pulled Rainbow into another long kiss. Rainbow smiled into the kiss.

Being short has its advantages. It does. She gets to be the center of attention. She loved being short.
