After this I will update The hunter and the fairy princess 2. Warning: this contains bullying and suicide attempt. Yeah....... this is my dark side of writing.

Rainbow ducked her head, looking at the floor. She refused to look up at any of the other students. She hugged her books to her chest. She could feel the stares on her legs. Her leg braces were there for all to see.

"It's not my fault my legs are weaker than a normal person's. It's not my fault I was born like this", she thought.

She stayed ignorant to the taunts and remarks thrown at her. She tried to ignore them.

"Freak".

"Hey metal legs!!".

"Robot girl!!".

Rainbow bit her lip. She suddenly fell onto the floor. Her books scattered everywhere. Rainbow looked up. She saw Dumbbell standing there laughing.

Rainbow looked around humiliated as she saw everyone laughing and pointing. Rainbow blinked back tears as she got on her knees.

Her leg braces made it hurt to kneel. She had worn these braces all her life. They were to help her with her leg strength. When she was born, her legs weren't as strong as they were suppose to she had to wear these to keep her legs strength.

She gathered up her books as quickly as possible. Standing up she wobbly made her way down the hall. Tears of humiliation ran down her cheeks but she refused to let anyone see.

Rainbow Dash walked into the classroom. She was met by a few pairs of eyes. Lowering her gaze to the floor, the teen walked to her seat in the back corner. The bell rung as the rest of the students came in.

The class began a few minutes later. Rainbow did her work with ease. Though her mind was nowhere near interested in school.

She wanted to just go home and stay there. She decided to take out her notebook and write. She felt her body relax as she wrote about her day. This was like an update journal, about how she was during the day.

She then began to write about.....her. Rainbow looked up from her notebook. She looked across the room at who she thought was the most perfect girl in the world. Applejack Smith.

With long silky, golden hair and eyes the color of grass in the spring. She was one of the popular girls. A somebody.

Rainbow looked back at her notebook. If only she was a somebody too. Then maybe she wouldn't be so useless. And maybe....... just maybe..... Applejack would notice. She was also her next door neighbor. Somehow Applejack didn't seem to notice her at all.

Yeah. In my dreams.

Rainbow sulked even further. Dreaming impossible dreams were no use to her. It only created heartache for her already broken heart. Sure, Applejack notice her. The bullied handicapped orphan girl with low self-esteem. What a sight she must be.

Rainbow sighed quietly and put her notebook away. She looked up to see some students looking at her. Uh oh. Suddenly a group of boys walked up to her. Rainbow tensed up, her eyes downcast. She saw their shadows over her and stayed quiet.

"Get up", she heard one say lowly.

Rainbow stood up slowly. She clenched her hands in fear. One of the boys grabbed her by the shirt and punched her stomach. Rainbow doubled over in pain.

She was thrown on the floor. The boys kicked her repeatedly. Rainbow curled up in a ball. Silent tears ran down her cheeks but she covered her face with her sweater sleeves.

"Hey!!".

The kicking stopped. Rainbow peeked out from her hands. She shook in fear and pain. Her eyes widened. Applejack was standing up, glaring at the boys.

She's probably talking to someone else. She can't be talking to these guys.

"Leave er alone", Applejack said.

She walked towards the boys. Rainbow felt her breath hitch. She...... this couldn't be real. This can't be happening. Rainbow was just imagining things.

When Applejack glared at the guys until they backed of, apologized and left and then knelt down in front of Rainbow Dash, Rainbow was in shock. This was happening.

"C'mon", she said.

She helped Rainbow stand up. Rainbow winced in pain but she could hardly feel it as she stared at Applejack. Her green eyes sucked her in. She couldn't help but stare.

Turning her head, she saw the boys laughing.

"This is priceless", Dumbell laughed pointing at Rainbow Dash. "Robot girl likes Applejack. Man, how pathetic is she??. She's a fag".

The whole class bursted into laughter. Rainbow felt tears rise up. Once again everyone was laughing and pointing at her. Rainbow felt the tears spill over.

"Aww. She's crying. Boohoo!!".

Rainbow grabbed her bag. She turned and ran out of the room. The echoes of laughter were trapped in her head. She ran down the hall. She came to the auditorium. Bursting in, she saw that it was empty. Letting out a sob, Rainbow walked over to the bleachers. She sat down, dropping her bag beside her, tears running down her face. Rainbow cried into her hands.

She couldn't do it anymore. She couldn't take it anymore. She decided that when she got home, she'd end it.

Noone would miss her. She had no friends. No parents. No family. Noone.

Sniffling she unzipped her bookbag, taking her notebook out. She decided to write her suicide note while she was alone. Getting out a pencil, she tore out a piece of paper. Rainbow looked down at her paper.

She began to write. It felt like an eternity writing but was only a few minutes. Sniffling, Rainbow looked down at the paper. She let out a shaky breath.

"I just hope that someone reads this. But I-I wouldn't be surprised if someone didn't".

Rainbow decided to write another one to leave at school. Right here. Tearing out another paper, she began to write. The paper had tears stains on it as she wrote.

Signing her name, Rainbow put the paper down and got up. She put the note down on the seat she had been sitting for the past Celestia knows how long.

Rainbow picked up her bag. She sniffled and wiped her tears. Turning around, she walked out of the room, just missing the sound of a door opening on the other side of the room.

Footsteps would have been heard. The note was picked up and read. Tears were shed. The door echoed as it was opened, footsteps running out.

Rainbow looked at the noose in front of her. She stared up at the rope that would end her life. Tears ran down her face. She looked back at the picture on her wall. The picture of a little girl with her parents. All three smiling.

Rainbow could see the car coming, the screams rang her ears as if she were in that moment of her life once more. She stepped onto the chair. Rainbow Dash stared at the noose. Tears ran down her face as she slipped it on.

Applejack came to mind. Rainbow laughed bitterly.

"So much for happily ever after", she said.

Rainbow sniffled. She stood there for a second. All she had to do was take that last step and it would all be over. No more pain. No more heartache. No more suffering.

I wonder who would even care if I'm gone. Doesn't matter anyway. Noone likes me and noone ever will. Just do it.
Rainbow lifted a foot. Suddenly the bedroom door swung open. Rainbow felt her breath hitch. It couldn't be. Applejack.

Applejack stood at the doorway. She looked at Rainbow Dash, tears running down her tan cheeks.

"Rainbow Dash".

Rainbow's eyes widened.

"You know my name''.

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Coarse ah do. You live next door ta me".

"You know I live next door??. You actually noticed me??".

Applejack nodded. She walked up Rainbow Dash.

"Please", she said. "Don't do this".

Rainbow looked away.

"You mean be free of the constant hurt and loneliness and be free from the pain and the constant reminder of how much of a freak I am??".

Applejack shook her head.

"You are not a freak. You're just different. Ah don't think yir a freak".

Rainbow sniffled. "I can't do it anymore Applejack. I can't. You try being bullied every single day just because of something you can't control. I never asked for any of this. You try being an orphan. You try going through every single damn day knowing that you'll never be loved and noone cares about you or even likes you".

Rainbow shrugged. "Noone will miss me anyway".

Applejack shook her head.

"Ah would".

Rainbow froze. She looked at Applejack.

"You would??".

Applejack nodded.

"Yeah. Ah would miss you. Ah would miss the way you look like shy puppy at school. Seeing you every day in school. Ah would miss the way you look at me when you think ah don't notice. Ah would miss seein' you read outside on yir porch. Ah would miss yir beautiful eyes. Ah would miss starin' at cha when yir not lookin".

Rainbow's eyes widened. Applejack reached a hand out and took hers.

"Ah'm not just sayin this so you won't kill yirself. Ah'm sayin this because ah think it's time you knew".

Rainbow looked down at her in confusion.

"Ah've liked you fir years now. Ever since ah saw yir face on the first of school in eighth grade, ah fell fir ya. Hard. But then mah dad transfered me to a school you didn't go to. And then one day ah saw you come home from school cryin and ah had ta see what was goin on".

Applejack sighed.

"Somehow I forgot about cha. Mah mom died and ah forgot about mah crush on you".

Rainbow stared at her as she talked.

"Then this year came around. When ah saw you again, ah thought damn. She's beautiful. Ah didn't know you were gettin' bullied until taday. Yeah, Ah'm popular in school but ah don't pay attention to mah surroundings. Ah really dont. Plus, me an mah friends are always rushin ta class so ah probably didn't notice that fight that may or may not have happened yesturday mornin".

Rainbow nodded.

"It was Dumbbell and Gilda", she said quietly. "Gilda won. Dumbbell beat me up after school because he was so angry that he lost".

"Mah point is", Applejack said. "Ah......... Ah love you".

Rainbow Dash felt her breath hitch. This was a joke. A sick joke. She couldn't mean that.

"Is it true what Dumbbell said??. Do ya like me??".

Rainbow looked away and nodded.

"I know I shouldn't", she said. You're Applejack Smith. The most popular and prettiest girl in school. I'm a nobody. It's not right for a nobody to like a somebody".

Applejack frowned.

"Rainbow. Look at me".

Rainbow sniffled and looked at Applejack.

"You are not a nobody. Yir not. You're the most perfect person in the world ta me. Yir beautiful, and strong and ah love you. Just please acknowledge what ah'm sayin. Ah know it may seem like there's no light in the darkness that yir stuck in everyday. But trust me when ah say that ah do care about chu an ah would miss you if you don't get down from there. Please. Don't do it".

Rainbow was crying all over again. She shakily took off the noose. Applejack scooped her up. She held Rainbow in her arms and hugged her.
Rainbow cried into her shirt. Sobs racked her small body. Applejack held her firmly.

"Ah'm right here. Shhhh".

Rainbow sobbed into her shoulder.

"This is really happening".

Applejack smiled and nodded.

"Yeah. It is".

Rainbow pulled away, wiping her tears away. She looked at Applejack.

"This.... this isn't a prank??. You really do like me??".

Applejack nodded. "Ah really really like ya. Promise. Ah don't lie".

Rainbow nodded. "Okay".

She dried her eyes as best she could with her sleeve and sniffled. Applejack tucked a strand of green hair behind her ear. Rainbow blushed. Swallowing her spit, she sighed.

She looked at Applejack.

"Is my nose red??".

Applejack shook her head. Rainbow sniffled.

"I probably look a mess. I'm sorry".

Applejack shook her head.

"You look cute".

Rainbow blushed.

"Yeah right. I'm ugly as a troll".

"Says who??", Applejack asked raising an eyebrow.

Rainbow sighed and looked at the floor. "Everyone else in school".

Rainbow crossed her arms.

"I don't get how a beautiful girl like you is attracted to an ugly, stupid, waste of space, piece of nothing like me".

Rainbow felt a finger underneath her chin. Her head was raised so she was looking at Applejack. Applejack looked at her sadly.

"Don't say that. Yir beautiful. Yir beautiful an smart an speacial. Unique".

Applejack ran her thumb over Rainbow's cheek. Rainbow felt herself being mesmerized by Applejack's eyes once more. She couldn't look away. Applejack slowly leaned foward. Rainbow was frozen in place. She felt warm lips on her own.

Applejack was kissing her. This must be a dream. Rainbow kissed back. She felt like her heart was whole again. She felt something she hadn't felt in a long time. What was it again??. Excited??. No. Giddy??. Nope. Not it either.

Applejack pulled away and looked at a surprised Rainbow Dash. The blonde smiled.

"Cat got chur tongue??".

Rainbow stared at her.

"This....... this is real. I'm not dreaming??".

Applejack shook her head. "Nope. Ah totally just kissed you".

Rainbow was in shock. This had got to be the best day of her life. What was this feeling she had in her stomach??. It felt good. It made her wanna smile. Smile??. Why would she do something like that??. Only happy people smiled.

Rainbow's eyes widened. Was she happy??. She hadn't been that word ever since her parents were alive. She couldn't be happy. She couldn't even remember how to smile.

"Rainbow??. Did ja hear me??".

Rainbow looked at Applejack and realized that Applejack had said something.

"Huh??. I'm sorry, I just.......".

Rainbow shook her head.

"What did you say??".

Applejack chuckled. "Ah said do you wanna go out on a date with me??".

Rainbow stared at her for what seemed like hours. Did Applejack really ask her that. Oh my gosh.

"You..... you're serious??. Oh my god".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Will ya??".

Rainbow covered her mouth with her hands.

"This is really happening. Oh my gosh. You're serious!!".

Rainbow's eyes flickered, her hands over her mouth. She nodded.

"Yeah".

Applejack smiled. Rainbow looked at her, lowering her hands.

"How do you do that??".

"Do what??".

"How do you smile??".

Applejack frowned. She raised an eyebrow.

"You mean you don't know how ta smile??".

Rainbow shook her head.

"I haven't smiled in so long, I don't remember how".

Applejack grinned.

"Ah can help you out with that".

Rainbow looked at her confused. She felt something tickling her sides. She snickered. Applejack tickled her stomach and sides. Rainbow laughed. Applejack held her captive as she ticked the girl. She stopped and watched.

Rainbow's laugh was the most beautiful sound in the world. It was light and melodious. Applejack now realized everything she loved about Rainbow Dash. Her eyes lit up when she laughed. Her laugh was adorable.

Rainbow giggled and looked up at Applejack. She suddenly frowned.

"Is this what happiness feels like??".

Applejack nodded. "Yup. You'll be feeling happy alot from now on".

Rainbow's mouth curved up into a small smile.

"I haven't smiled or laughed in such a long time. Thank you".

Applejack hugged her. Rainbow flinched. Applejack felt her slowly hug back. She decided to show this girl there is more than pain and suffering and being laughed at".

"Ah love you Rainbow".

Rainbow smiled, at tear ran down her cheek. "I love you too".

Pulling away, Applejack smiled at her. She wiped the tear away.

"No more cryin", Applejack said. "Ah hate seein ya cry. It breaks mah heart".

Rainbow smiled. Applejack kissed her forehead.

"That's better".

Applejack looked behind Rainbow Dash at the noose that was still hanging. She went around Rainbow and got on the chair. She undid the rope and wrapped it up.

Getting off the chair, she looked at Rainbow.

"Ah'm takin this with me. Now".

Applejack took Rainbow's hands.

"Things will change. The bullyin will stop. Noone will beat you up anymore. Noone will trip you or push ya around. It will all stop".

Rainbow nodded. She hugged Applejack tightly. Applejack smiled.

"Cmon. Let's go ta mah house an watch a movie. We'll stay home from school tomorrow".

Rainbow nodded.

The girls went next door. They walked in. A man was sitting on the sofa. It was Applejack's dad.

The man saw them and stood up. He frowned. Looking at the noose in Applejack's hand and Rainbow Dash who had tear stained on her cheek. He put two and two together.

Him and Applejack had a mental conversation. Applejack's eyes went from the rope and the suicide note in one hand to Rainbow. She ran her thumb over her skin.

Rainbow looked away. She couldn't look Applejack's dad in the eye. Jackson knelt down and looked at Rainbow Dash.

"It's nice to finally meet cha Rainbow. Ah'm Jackson. Just know that you're safe here and we care about you".

Rainbow looked at the man. She nodded.

"We're gunna watch a movie upstairs", Applejack said smiling.

Jackson nodded. He leaned down and whispered.

"Be very open minded about Rainbow an careful when ya speak ta her. She's fragile. Ah can tell".

Applejack nodded. She gave her dad the rope and the suicide note. Jackson read the note. He looked up at Applejack.

"Burn them please", she said.

Jackson nodded.

Applejack led Rainbow up to her room. The girls got comfortable. Jackson made them popcorn and some juice. The girls decided on a comedy. Rainbow smiled alot. She couldn't remember the last time she smiled to much in her life.

Looking at Applejack, she laid her head on Applejack's chest. Applejack wrapped an arm around her waist.

Rainbow Dash smiled.

This was the start of a new life. A happy life.
