The room went silent. Everyone stared at Rainbow Dash. She stared right back.

"What did you say??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow looked around nervously.

"Who are you guys??".

Twilight slowly walked over to them.

"Rainbow Dash??. Can I ask you a question??".

The teen nodded. Twilight pointed at Applejack.

"Who is she??".

Rainbow shrugged. "I-I don't know. Who are you guys??. Please tell me".

Rainbow was close to tears. Applejack felt her heart snap in two.

"We're your friends", Twilight said softly.

Rainbow's eyes narrowed in confusion.

"You are??. I don't remember meeting you. Ever".

The girls gasped. Twilight turned to the doctor.

"What happened??. She doesn't know who we are".

The man sighed. "It's common for a person to have amnesia after having a head injury. Most of the time, it doesn't last long".

"Most of the time??", Pinkie asked fearfully.

The man nodded. "She does have a concussion. But she can go home. I recommend you talk to her. Surround her with things she knows. Objects she holds dear, people she knows. It'll probably help with her memory. Until she does get her memory back, she'll need you girls".

Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash
The girl was curled up, trying to stay as far away from them as possible.

"It's okay Rainbow. You know us. We won't ever hurt chu. Mah name is Applejack".

She pointed at the other girls.

"That's Twilight Sparkle. That's Rarity. That's Fluttershy and that's Pinkie Pie".

Pinkie smiled. "Hey Dashie. We're so glad you're okay".

Applejack looked back at Rainbow. The girl was still uneasy. She knew that Rainbow didn't trust anyone before meeting them. So now, they'd have to gain her trust again.

"It's gunna be okay", Twilight spoke up. "We'll take care of you. We promise that we're good and we will never hurt you. You're safe with us".

Rainbow looked at Applejack. "Promise??".

She held out her pinky. Applejack smiled sadly and hooked her pinky with hers.

"Promise. Now, let's take ya home".

Rainbow looked around the room. The girls stood a few feet away, watching.

"This house is big", Rainbow said quietly.

Applejack smiled. "Yeah. We live here".

Rainbow looked at her. "We??".

Applejack nodded. "C'mon. Ah need ta talk to ya".

Applejack looked at the girls.

"You guys stay here".

Applejack turned to Rainbow. Taking her hand, she led her upstairs, showing her the different rooms. The bathroom and the movie room. Rainbow liked that one.

"An this, is our room".

The two walked into the bedroom. Rainbow looked around. She walked up to the bed and sat down.

"This seems like a nice place to live I guess. But I don't remember living here".

Applejack smiled. "Ah know".

Rainbow looked at the shelves on the wall. She gasped suddenly. Getting up, Rainbow walked over to the shelves. Reaching up, she took a music box off one of the shelves. She examined it with a smile.

"My mom gave me this", she said.

Suddenly her smile fell. "My mom".

Applejack walked over to her.

"Rainbow. Ah need ta tell you some things".

Rainbow looked at her with fear in her eyes.

"Is my mom okay??. What about my dad??".

She covered her mouth with her hands.

"I-I mean-".

"We know Rainbow", Applejack cut her off gently. "We know about chur dad hitting you".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow, lowering her hands.

"What do you mean??".

Applejack pulled her over to the bed and they sat down. Applejack sighed.

"What is the last thing you remember??".

Rainbow thought for a moment.

"I remember....... my dad. He beat me up and then I wake in the hospital".

Applejack sighed again.

"Rainbow", she said. "Your dad has been in jail fir five years".

Rainbow's eyes widened. "What??!!".

Applejack nodded. "You lost yir memory. This mornin you were climbin a tree ta get chur frisbee and ya fell on the way down an hit chur head. It's been five years since you last saw yir parents. You just don't remember the last five years".

Rainbow was quiet. The silence was killer. Applejack watched for a reaction. Finally Rainbow looked at the music box in her hands.

"Then..... what happened to them??".

"Yir dad is in jail. He.......".

Rainbow looked at her. "He what??".

Applejack reached out and touched her arm.

"He killed yir mom, Rainbow. Yir mom died five years ago".

Rainbow stared at her, tears glassing her eyes. Then they streamed down her face.

"What??".

Applejack opened her mouth. Rainbow bolted out of the room, dropping the music box on the carpet. She ran down the hall. Applejack got up and ran after her. Rainbow ran into the bathroom and locked the door.

Applejack stood outside the door.

"Rainbow", she called. "Please open up".

Applejack heard crying on the other side. Applejack tried for over five minutes to get Rainbow to open the door. Nothing.

"What's wrong??".

Applejack turned and saw the girls standing there. She sighed.

"Rainbow just found out about her mom........ again".

The girls gasped. They walked over to her. Twilight gently knocked on the door.

"Rainbow??. Can you hear me??. It's Twilight".

"Go away".

Twilight sighed. "Rainbow. We know you're upset. We know you're scared. We don't blame you. This is all pretty scary to wake up in a room full of strangers and find out that they're your best friends and you don't recognize them. It wasn't your fault. But please. We don't want you to think you're alone. You have us. You're our best friend and we love you. Please. Open the door".

A few seconds went by in complete deafening silence. The girls looked at eachother. Suddenly they heard a click. The door opened to reveal a sniffling Rainbow Dash.

"My mommy is gone", she cried.

She ran up to Applejack and hugged her, sobbing. Applejack held her in her arms. Noone said a word. Rainbow sobbed into the blonde's chest. Applejack just rubbed her back and whispered sweet nothings into her ear.

After a while Rainbow began to calm down. She sniffled and dried her eyes. She pulled away.

"Thanks".

Applejack smiled. "It's alright".

Rainbow looked at her weirdly.

"Why do I get the feeling I should know you more than them??", she asked.

Applejack frowned. She bit her lip.
Rainbow looked at the other girls then at Applejack again.

"What??. Who are you to me??".

Applejack sighed. "Ah'm yir girlfriend".

Rainbow's eyes widened. She was silent in shock.

"Oh".

Rainbow's eyes flickered to the floor.

"Why can't I remember you??", she asked quietly.

Applejack reached a hand out and touched her cheek. She wiped a stray tear away.

"It ain't chur fault. Now, C'mon. Let's go show ya around the house".
