Rainbow Dash was like a child. She constantly was touching things and it was probably her ADHD. Applejack didn't know and didn't care. All she knew was that when Rainbow was awake, she was either touching something she wasn't suppose to, running around or talking.

"Hey Applejack??".

Applejack looked up from the tv. She heard Rainbow call from the kitchen.

Rainbow walked in, twiddling with a knife. That made Applejack's stomach drop.

"Where do these go??", Rainbow asked, a confused look on her face.

Applejack quickly got up. She walked up to Rainbow and grabbed her arm.

"Rainbow. Didn't ya learn not ta walk around the house with a knife??".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow. "No".

Applejack deflated a little. "Oh. Well. Now you know. Don't walk around the house with knives. That could hurt someone, includin you".

"Oh", Rainbow said. "Okay".

"Go put it in the draw next ta the sunk on the right hand side".

Rainbow smiled and walked away. Applejack sighed and pinched the the bridge of her nose.

"So then I was like nu uh and they were all uh hu".

Pinkie rolled her eyes. The girls stared at her. They had no idea what she was talking about. At all.

"Hey. Where's Rainbow Dash??", Pinkie asked looking around.

"Not sure", Applejack said. She suddenly sat up in alert. Her eyes widened.

"An that scares me. Find her".

The girls got up. They spread out throughout the house.

"Rainbow!!!".

"Rainbow!!".

Applejack hurried up the stairs. She hoped Rainbow wasn't doing anything dangerous.

"Don't touch anythin!!", she shouted.

She ran into the bedroom. Too late.

She saw Rainbow snapping the air with scissors in a sword fight of some sort. Applejack stood there for a moment to take it all in. Rainbow was playing with scissors. Okay.

"Rainbow??".

Rainbow turned around and looked at Applejack.

"Hey", she said waving, with a dopey grin on her face.

Applejack sighed. "What have ah told you about playin with scissors??".

Rainbow sighed. "It's dangerous and not a smart thang ta do".

"Ah don't sound like that".

Rainbow giggled. The looked at the scissors in her hand. She brought it close to her face and looking through it, snapping the open and close. Applejack felt like her heart was gunna pop out of her chest.

"Babe. Don't do that!!".

Applejack rushed foward and snatched the scissors out of her hand.

"Ya can't play with sharp scissors. Ah don't even let Rarity do that and she's an expert with these".

Rainbow pouted. "Whyyyyyy??".

Applejack smiled. "Just keepin you safe from an accident is all".

Rainbow pouted. "Fine. Whateveeer".

Applejack laid down on the bed, exhausted. She had a rough day at work and she needed some sleep. She guessed Rainbow thought differently.

She heard stomping up the stairs. Applejack groaned. Here she comes now. The door was opened. Applejack felt the bed shift. Next thing she saw was big magenta colored eyes looking at her.

"Hi", Rainbow said.

Applejack smiled back tiredly. "Hey babe".

Rainbow sat up. "How was your day at work??", she asked. Applejack shrugged. "Tired".

Rainbow smirked. "Well my day at work was bad. You wanna hear about it??".

Applejack sighed and nodded, closing her eyes. At this point she didn't care. She thought she'd get it over with.

"Okay then. Well today I was heading to the office, right??. And this new guy just came a slammed right into me. So yeah, I got hurt. Not surprising".

Rainbow rolled her eyes. "So then I was like hey!! And he was like what??. Like seriously??. He didn't see me fall flat on my face because of him??. Rude. So then I was late and my boss threatened to fire me if I was late again".

Rainbow groaned loudly. She looked at Applejack, who looked like she was sleeping. Rainbow shook her girlfriend roughly.

"Are you even awake??", she asked.

Applejack made a sound and cracked her eyes open. "Yeah. Ah'm here".

Rainbow sighed and kept talking. Applejack felt like duct taping her mouth shut. But she just let her talk.

Rainbow looked at the object in front of her. She wondered what it did.

"Hmm".

She picked it up. It looked kinda like a gun but she knew it wasn't. It was something else. She had never seen this kind of gun before.

"I wonder what it does", she mumbled to herself.

"What are you doin??".

Rainbow turned around and saw Applejack standing there. The blonde saw the object in her hand and backed up.

"Rainbow. Where'd you find that??".

Rainbow looked down at the thing then back up at Applejack.

"Right here".

Applejack walked up to her.

"Let me see it".

Rainbow handed it to her. Applejack took it and looked at her, biting her cheek.

"What have ah told you about picking up stuff when ya don't know what it is??".

Rainbow groaned. "Seriously??. Why do you have to baby all the time AJ??. I'm not a kid".

Applejack chuckled. "Says the girl that plays with scissors. That's the reason ah baby you. You keep touchin and doin things you ain't suppose to and that ain't good".

Rainbow crossed her arms. "Don't you trust me??".

Applejack sighed and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Of coarse ah do babe. Ah'm just tryna keep you safe. Face it. You do some crazy stuff".

Rainbow giggled. "Well, I guess I go over the edge sometimes. I'm curious".

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"Curiosity killed the cat".

Rainbow sighed. "I know, sorry. I guess I just don't know how not to touch stuff. When I was little my dad didn't really care what I did as long as I didn't get him in trouble. I remember once I picked it one of his guns".

Applejack's eyes widened. She looked at her girlfriend up and down.

"Ya didn't shoot yirself, did ja??".

Rainbow shook her head. "No. Though I did get a beating for it".

Rainbow rubbed her arm. Applejack touched her shoulder.

"Oh. Ah'm sorry".

Rainbow smiled. "Not your fault".

Rainbow wrapped her arms around her waist, hugging Applejack.

"But I have you to keep me safe".

Applejack laughed .

"Yeah. Gotta keep you outta trouble".

Rainbow laughed and pulled away.
She looked at the thing in Applejack's hand.

"Can we still figure out what it does??", she asked.

"It's a nail gun".

Rainbow pouted and crossed her arms.

"Way to ruin the fun AJ", Rainbow said.

Applejack put the thing on the grass and grabbed her arm, pulling her away. All the way back to the house Rainbow Dash skipped and told her about her day yesterday. Applejack just smiled and nodded.

Yup. Just a normal day.

"Hey Applejack??".

Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash.

"Is it bad that there's a raccoon in our garage now??".

Applejack stopped and looked at her with wide eyes.

"Why??".

Rainbow rocked back and forth.

"I might have accidentally let one in".

Applejack looked about ready to explode. She took a deep breath and sighed. She took Rainbow's hand and they kept walking.

"That's alright. Let's just go home an deal with it".

"Sorry".

Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash, who had a guilty look on her face. The blonde turned to her.

"Ah'm not mad babe. It wasn't chur fault. So don't worry about it".

Rainbow rubbed her arm slowly.

"I'm sorry for being such a burden to you".

Applejack frowned. "You are not a burden. Listen babe".

Applejack lifted Rainbow's head so she was looking at her.

"Ah don't mind your crazy antics. You drive me nuts sometimes but ah know ya mean well. So don't blame yirself. You're just bein you and ah wouldn't wanna be around anyone else".

Rainbow smiled. She hugged the blonde tightly, squeezing her. Applejack could barely breath.

"Rainbow??", she choked out. "Can't...... beath".

Rainbow let go with a gasp. Applejack gulped in air.

"Sorry".

Applejack chuckled. "It's fine. No harm done".

Rainbow smiled and grabbed her hand. She pulled her along as they made their way back home. Applejack watched Rainbow the whole time as she talked and talked about anything, her feet in a skip, a smile on her face. She was such a happy kid. Applejack smiled.

I hope she stays like that firever. Ah realize this gal is gunna end up killin me one day. And that's just fine with me. She's Rainbow. Mah Rainbow. One of a kind.
