Rainbow froze. Her blood ran cold. No way. It couldn't be. He was supposed to be in jail. Locked up. NOT HERE.

Rainbow watched as the shoes walked around her room slowly. Tank woke up to the footsteps. He sat up and barked aggressively at the man. The man ignored the dog.

"I got out, sweetheart." Her dad said. "And now I'm back. For you."

"Rainbow." Applejack whispered. "What's wrong?."

Rainbow licked her dry lips. She couldn't get the words out at first.

"My dad got out of jail." She whispered so quietly, she wasn't sure if it was a mumble. "He broke into my house."

"Rainbow?? Stay silent. I'm gonna call the cops and tell them."

"Please help me."

Tears sprung to her eyes. This was her worst nightmare come true. Her dad was back and he wanted her.

"Come on out, Rainbow. If you don't, I'll just burnt his place to the ground with you in it."

Rainbow was panicking. She had to do something. She had to make a choice.

"How's that girlfriend of yours?? The blonde girl that ratted me out that day."

Applejack.

"I believe you used to gush at how big of a crush you had on her in middle school to your mother. I still saw her around, you know. So I'm guessing you went to school with her. I wonder if her and her dad still still live in the same house. Maybe I'll go check."

"No!!"

Rainbow quickly crawled out from underneath her bed. She sat up on her knees. She froze. The lights were flicked on. There, standing in her room, was her father. He looked bigger than before. Maybe had had started working out in prison.

He smirked wickedly at her.

"Hello, honey." He said.

Rainbow gulped.

"How??."

The man chuckled. "I was on my best behavior. I'm on parole and I thought that since you had forgotten to file a restraining order on me, I thought I'd visit my daughter."

Rainbow slowly got to her feet.

"Why do you want me?." She asked. "You shouldn't want anything to do with me. You never gave a shit about me since Mom died when I was in high school."

Lightning shrugged. "I thought we'd go on a little road trip before your uncle gets home."

"I-Isn't that k-kidnapping??." Rainbow said, starting to panic. "Please leave. I never did anything wrong to you."

"No. You did." Lightning said. "You were born."

His face became dead serious.

"Now cmon, bitch. We don't have all night."

Rainbow backed quickly, but lightning was much faster. He caught her and lifted her up. Rainbow screamed and thrashed.

"LET ME GO!! DAD, PLEASE. LET-."

Lightning placed a hand over her mouth. Tank barked louder, starting to pull on Lightning's pants. The man kicked the dog off. Tank stumbled a little and whimpered, crawling away with his tail between his legs.

Lightning held Rainbow tightly in his strong arms. He whispered in her left ear.

"Shut up or you're dead and so will be your uncle. My uncle will be glad to find your body before I kill him."

Rainbow stopped struggling. Tears ran down her cyan colored cheeks.

"Now." Lightning said calmly. "You're gonna quickly back a bag and we're gonna get out of here. We're going to a town far from here for a bit. Just until they stop looking for you in a few months. Don't try to run or scream for help. I'll kill you."

Rainbow nodded. He hesitated before taking his hand off her mouth.

"Pack."

He dropped her. Rainbow fell to the floor.

"Ow!!."

"Go!." The man barked.

Rainbow quickly got up and scrambled to get a bag ready. She stuffed outfits in. Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, socks, skirts, leggings, blouses, her hairbrush, toothbrush and toothpaste, other body care items.

Rainbow packed it into a big red backpack. She crawled under the bed to get her phone. She saw it was still on the call. Applejack. She hoped she heard everything.

She picked up the item. She stared at the screen. She put the phone to her ear.

"I love you, Applejack." She whispered. "Tell the girls I said bye and that I love them. Please tell me you heard all that."

"Ah did. I'm calling the cops right now."

Rainbow sighed and hung up the call. She got out from under her bed. She sat up and looked at her dad.

"You won't get away with this." She growled.

"Trust me." The man said. "I will. Hurry up and change your clothes and get your shoes on. I'll be outside the door."

He walked out. Rainbow quickly changed her clothes. She changed into red basketball short and her signature white t-shirt. She laced up her sneakers and grabbed her bag and a pillow and her phone charger. Rainbow looked around her room for what may be the last time.

Tank walked up to her, whimpering. Rainbow knelt down and hugged the small dog.

"I'll miss you, buddy." She said. "Be a good boy for Strike."

Tank barked in response and licked her face.

Rainbow smiled and then whispered in one of her ears. "Please, Tank. If you can understand me, help Applejack and the police find me."The dog gave a nod.

Rainbow smiled. That must be a good sign. It had to be.

She let him one last time and told him she loved him very much. She stood up, went up to the bedroom door and opened it.

Her dad stood there, arms crossed.

"Let's go." He said. "We'll stop to eat after a few hours."

The two left the house. The man left the front door open. They climbed into her dad's truck and sped off.

A few minutes later police cars pulled up. Applejack's dad and Rarity's car pulled up to the house as well. They all climbed out and hurried into the house. They ran right in. The police filed in, guns ready.

"Police!!. One officer shouted.

The police group split up, half going upstairs to the second floor, the other half staying on the first floor.

Applejack and the girls hurried inside.

"Rainbow?." Pinkie called. "Are you here??."

They waited there for a cop to come with Rainbow Dash, safe and sound. But when a cop came up to them from upstairs with just a dog, they knew something was wrong.

"We got here too late." The man said. "They're not here. Are you sure she was being kidnapped??."

Applejack was confused.

"Yeah. Ah recorded the conversation. Wait. What do ya mean not here??." She asked.

"The house is empty except for the dog."

The dog barked. Applejack looked down at the dog. Rainbow was gone.

"So what now??." She asked.

"We put up an alert. Warn neighboring towns and police departments of Rainbow's disappearance and to watch out for her dad. Do you ladies know what kind of car her dad drives??."

"A black Toyota Corolla." Pinkie replied without hesitation.

They all looked at the poofy haired young woman. She stood there with a goofy smile.

"What??. I pay attention to details when I take walks. And I've known Rainbow for a few years so I recognized her dad one day."

Applejack raised and eyebrow.

"Huh....." she said awkwardly. "Thanks, Pinkie. That honestly was very helpful of you."

"Well we don't have to have a warrant to look through their stuff." The cop said. "Seeing as one of them is the alleged kidnapper."

"How can we help?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"Just spread the word and maybe drive to other towns and put up missing person signs and ask if they've seen Rainbow or her father. You'll have to tell her uncle when he gets home."

Suddenly Applejack's phone buzzed in her pocket. She quickly took it out and turned on the screen. A text flashed on the screen. She gasped.

It was Rainbow.

Applejack. We're heading to Cloudsdale. I'm fine, but I'm really scared.

Applejack looked up.

"It's Rainbow. She said her dad is takin' her ta Cloudsdale."

The police officer took her phone and looked at the text.

"She's okay at least." He said. "Now we alert the Cloudsdale police department and have them station themselves around the town so they're on the look out for Rainbow's father's car."

The man gave Applejack her phone back and excused himself before walking away.

Applejack couldn't believe this was happening. She looked at the others. They had a silent conversation. They had to do something. They had to go after Rainbow and her dad themselves.
