My little hybrid part 9

Enjoy :) and don't forget to comment

Applejack woke up the next morning with a flutter in her chest and a smile on her face. The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was colors.

Applejack heard faint snoring. She blinked a few times, trying to get rid of the blurriness. Her green eyes adjusted fairly quickly.

Applejack saw Rainbow sleeping beside her. Applejack smiled. Rainbow was wrapped around her, her head on her shoulder.

Applejack reached a hand out and stroked her hair softly. It was soft as silk fabric. Her multi colored locks were strewn around her, part of her bands falling over her face in a wild rainbow. Applejack carefully seeped the rainbow locks out of the way, uncovering her face. Applejack watched her face, content and relaxed.

"Why must she be so cute??".

Applejack watched her for a while, just laying there. For the first time in a while, Applejack got to see the relaxed and peaceful side of Rainbow. She wasn't tense or in fear or shying away from her. She could just appreciate the hybrid teen next to her.

Then she realized something. She remembered everything that happened last night. She and Rainbow were together. They had confessed their feelings for eachother. Rainbow liked her back. They were together. Oh dear celestia. They were together. A couple. More than friends. A couple.

Applejack pondered on that thought for a moment. What would happen once Rainbow woke up??. Would she remmeber anything they told eachother last night??. How eould she react??. Most importantly, would she still say that to Applejack now that she wasn't tired anymore??. Would she back out now or stay true to what she had said to Applejack.

Suddenly, Rainbow stirred, getting Applejack's attention. Her heart raced in her chest as Rainbow woke up.

The girl's eyes blinked open, her wolf ears rising. Rainbow yawned, covrig her mouth. Rainbow's eyes adjusted to the room, sleep evident in her big magenta eyes. She saw Applejack.

Rainbow was quiet.

Applejack didn't know what to say. What should she say??. Should she bring up what happened last night in case Rainbow forgot??. She was half asleep after all and might not remember a thing.

Applejack suddenly realized that Rainbow had said something to her but she had been too lost in thought.

"What??", she said.

Rainbow prompted herself up. She sat up. Applejack did as well. She looked at the neko girl.

"I-I said", Rainbow said, her voice unsure and shaky. "Did you mean it??. What you said last night??. Do you like me??".

Applejack was in shock. Rainbow had been thinking about the same thing. Applejack laughed.

"Funny", she said. "Ah was gonna ask ya the same thing".

Rainbow's eyes widened in surprise.

"Really??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah".

Applejack smiled at Rainbow, who looked at her weirdly.

"Well??", Rainbow said. "Did you??".

Applejack realized she hasn't answered her question.

"Yeah", she said. "Ah do like you. More than just a friend".

A smile appeared on Rainbow's face, lighting it up.

"Same. I meant what I said to you. I really like you".

Rainbow's eyes wandered, her smile faltering. Applejack frowned.

"What's wrong??".

Rainbow looked at her.

"But how can we be together??", she asked. "We're so.......".

Rainbow tried to find a word to use. Applejack could think of the word she wanted to use and decided to help her out.

"Different??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. That".

Rainbow crossed her arms.

"I mean. You're a free human
The master. I'm a hybrid. A servant. We don't exactly have anything alike".

"You're half human", Applejack reminded her.

Rainbow sighed. She turned around, swinging her legs off the bed. She looked back at Applejack.

"How can you love something like me??".

Applejack's head jerked back a little at her words. Thing??? Is that how Rainbow saw herself??. A thing??

Applejack pulled the blanket back. She crawled over to Rainbow and sat beside her.

"Rainbow", she said. "Look at me".

Rainbow sighed, not looking away from her. She suddenly felt a hand on her chin. Rainbow's head was turned. Rainbow was forced to look at Applejack. Applejack stared at her with all seriousness in her green eyes.

"Ah really like you because you're you. And don't chu EVER call yourself a thing. You are not an object. You have thoughts and feeling' too. You're loveable and funny and cool and unique. That's why ah like you".

Rainbow stared at her. She smiled and looked away.

"Thanks, Applejack", she said. "You're pretty great too".

Rainbow looled at her.

"You're the first human that's been this kind and caring to me other than the others".

Rainbow sighed, her shoulders sagging a little.

"You're the first person to say I love you to me and mean it ever since I was taken away from my family".

Applejack frowned. She couldn't imagine what her parents must be thinking if they're still alive. They must think she's dead. Applejack looked at Rainbow. The girl brought her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around her legs.

"I wonder if they're alive", she said. "Or if they remember me".

"Of coarse they would remember you", Applejack spoke up. "You're their daughter. And ah'm sure that if they're out there, they miss you and think of you every day. Ah'm sure they'd still love you no matter what".

Applejack smiled. She reached out and took Rainbow's hand in hers.

"Just like me".

Rainbow smiled. "Thanks", she said.

Applejack wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Rainbow giggled. She felt strangely happy.

"C'mon", Applejack said. "Let's get dressed and we can go to the park".

Rainbow beamed. "Yay!!".

Rainbow got up. Suddenly, she cringed and hissed in pain.

"Ow!!".

Rainbow was on the floor in two seconds. Applejack was beside her in an instant. Rainbow clutched her knee. Applejack knew it hurt but she didn't think Rainbow had scraped her knee that badly the other day. Hardly at all. She guessed she was wrong.

"It hurts so much", she said. "Alot".

Applejack looked at the bandage.

"It's still healin'. Ah'm gonna check on it and then change the bandaid on it. Then we can go to the park. Let's get cha a bath".
----------------------------

Rainbow sighed in content. She splashed the water.

"This is awesome".

Applejack laughed, kneeling beside the tub. She rested her arms on the side, smiling.

I know what you're thinking. No, Applejack was not in the bath with Rainbow. She was beside the tub, fully clothed, watching Rainbow play with the bubbled in her bubble bath.

Rainbow loved bubble baths. She claimed that they were fun and the bubbles were "interesting to look at" as she called it.

"You good??", Applejack asked. "You'll be okay by yourself??".

Rainbow looked at her.

"Stay here", she said, a pleading look in her eyes.

Applejack sighed. "Okay".

Rainbow smiled. She grabbed the bottle of body wash. She looked at Applejack. Applejack saw a thinking look on her face, as if she was deciding on whether or not to ask her something.

"Ah know that look", she said, smiling. "You can ask me anythin".

Rainbow looked at her.

"Um..... can you help me??", she asked shyly.

Applejack was a little shocked. She had never been asked something like that before.

"Oh uh sure. No problem".

Applejack took the bottle. It was a little heavy. Applejack applied it to a bath sponge. She looked at Rainbow. She slowly running the object over the skin.

Rainbow relaxed in the water. Applejack helped her to take a bath. Then she offered to wash her hair.

Rainbow was a little hesitant.

"Um......".

Rainbow looked up at Applejack. She shrugged.

"If you insist, alright. I hate washing it myself anyway".

Applejack grinned.

"Cmere you and stay still. Can't have ya movin' around".

Applejack washed Rainbow's hair while Rainbow did her tail. She was sure to be careful. She didn't scrub to rough or too soft. Just enough the have Rainbow leaning into her touch like she always did when she was scratching behind her ears.

Applejack laughed. "Feels good??".

Rainbow nodded. "I like baths now".

Applejack shook her at Rainbow's statement. She pulled her hands away.

"Let's rinse the shampoo off", she said. "Alright??".

Rainbow nodded. She let Applejack rinse her hair off. As she did, Applejack noticed something on Rainbow's skin. She frowned.

Pushing the hair aside, she saw faint scars on Rainbow's back and arms. That surprised Applejack greatly. But she kept silent. She smiled at Rainbow.

Finally the hybrid teen was rinsed off. Applejack let her get dried and dried by herself, waiting outside the door in case Rainbow needed her if she were to fall again or something.

Applejack heard the door open from behind her. She felt a poke in her side, making her flinch.

She turned her head and looked over her shoulder. Rainbow walked past her, her large body sized towel wrapped around her shoulders, giggling, just like a little kid would.

Rainbow disappeared down the hall. Applejack lightly laughed and shook her shook, arms crossed.

Rainbow was something else.

So yeah. I'll try to update later today. The next will be exciting. I promise ;) so let me know what you think
