Applejack shut the door. She held the sleeping hybrid girl in her arms. Rainbow had dozed off in the car on the way from Burger King. They hadn't get Rainbow some ice cream to help her calm down from the events that happened earlier, plus they wanted to get something to eat for later on in case they got hungry.

Applejack had Rainbow next to her in the car as Rainbow didn't want to be separated from her. Rainbow had held on to her as if her life depended on it.

Applejack put the bags down by the door, adjusting Rainbow so she wouldn't fall. She carried the girl like a mother would a sleeping child.

The hybrid was small and light so Applejack had no problem walking around with her. She headed upstairs to Rainbow's bedroom.

Walking in, Applejack walked over to the bed, setting Rainbow down. Rainbow eyes blinked open. She looled at Applejack, sleep disoriented. Applejack smiled

"Hey there, sleepy head".

Rainbow sat up, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand, a pouty look on her face. Applejack felt her heart melt at the sight. This girl could not get any cuter. Applejack sat down on the bed, looking at Rainbow.

"Did I fall asleep in the car??", Rainbow asked. "I'm sorry, Mistress".

"It's okay", Applejack said simply. "No harm done".

Applejack frowned.

"Hey uh. Rainbow??".

"Yes??".

Applejack thought about how she should ask, or at least, what to ask first. She had so many questions running through her head.

She was glad they were alone so Rainbow would probably feel less threatened if it was only one person. Applejack looked at Rainbow, who was waiting for her to speak.

She decided on the first question that popped into her head when Rainbow first came yesterday.

"Why do ya call me Mistress??".

Rainbow looked genuinely surprised at the question, then confused.

"Because that's what you are. My mistress. It's what I'm suppose to call you".

Now it was Applejack's turn to be confused.

"Suppose ta??. Why??".

"All hybrid servants are trained to call their masters as their titles", Rainbow replied simply. "Why??. Does it bother you??".

Applejack shrugged. "Yeah- wait. What do ya mean servant??. You're not a servant. And there's more hybrids??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yup and yeah, I am", she said. "All human hybrids, otherwise known as Nekos, are servants. It's our job to serve humans. That's why you bought me off the market, right??".

Market??. This was just causing more questions for Applejack than was being answered.

"What market??".

Applejack held up her hands.

"What are you talkin' about??".

Rainbow stared are her for a moment.

"Oh. You don't know??".

Applejack shook her head, obviously confused. Rainbow sighed.

"Okay. Well, hybrids are born to be servants or slaves as some people call it. I was taken from my family when I was six and experimented on until I got turned into a hybrid and then sold into slavery. I bet my family has no idea I'm part wolf now".

Applejack's eyes widened. Rainbow continued.

"Some of us are sold to pet stores, or markets in disguise. Then we're bought. We do whatever our masters assign us to do. There are alot of different kinds of jobs. There are house keeping hybrids who clean for their masters. There are hybrid servants who cook for their masters. There are work servants, servants who are just to be shown off because the master is rich, sex slaves-".

"Sex slaves??!!".

Rainbow jumped. Applejack had a horrified look on her face. She couldn't not believe that some innocent hybrid out there was forced to........ do such a thing. It was horrible to even think about.

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. It's pretty normal. You get use to being just an object".

Rainbow's face fell, her eyes glued to the floor. Her shoulders sagged.

A thought came to Applejack.

"Did anyone touch you I'm any bad way??", she asked, demand in her voice.

She swore if anyone hurt or did anything to Rainbow Dash, she'd-

"Nonono!", Rainbow exclaimed in a rush. "I'm not a sex slave. I'm a anger taker servant".

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"A what?".

"An anger taker", Rainbow repeated. "If my master gets angry or frustrated or stressed, they're allowed to hit me until they feel better. They take out all their emotions on me instead of breaking something or hurting another human".

Applejack's mouth fell open. She could not believe it.

"They're allowed to hurt cha??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. They assign hybrids who are small and light, who bruise easily. Mostly girls like me. Humans like to beat hybrid girls who can't fight back against grown men and women".

Rainbow shrugged.

"No big deal".

"No big deal??".

Rainbow looked up at Applejack. The blonde shook her head.

"Rainbow. You get beaten by people and you can't do a thing about it. That ain't no big deal. It's about big deal. Who was yir last master??".

Rainbow bit her lip.

"You remember that man that tried to kidnap me earlier??".

Applejack gasped. "That was him??".

Rainbow nodded. "He's trying to get me back. But I don't get why. He left me".

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"Left ya??".

Rainbow looked up at her.

"Do you know why I get scared whenever you tell to stay somewhere and that you'll be back??. It's because he did that one day. We went somewhere one day. It was raining alot".

Applejack nodded for her to continue.
"He took to this spot in the park. He looked at me and told me he needed to go somewhere. He said he'd be right back".

Tears glazed over her eyes. She sniffled.

"He told me to stay there".

Rainbow crossed her arms. She looked away.

"He never came back".

Rainbow let out a sob. Applejack realized she was crying. She scooted over closer. She wrapped an arm around her.

Rainbow looked at her, tears running down her face.

"So that's why I don't like when you leave me. I'm scared you'll leave and never come back. You'll abandon me. All my owners do".

Rainbow bowed her head, gritting her teeth.

"He was right", she said. "I really am a bad hybrid".

"Rainbow!!", Applejack said. "You are not a bad hybrid".

Rainbow nodded. "Yes I am!!", she sobbed. "I'm a terrible servant. I can't do anything right. He was right. I really am just a stupid, ugly, useless little bi-".

"Rainbow", Applejack said sternly.

She reached out and took Rainbow's hand. Rainbow looked up at her.

"You are not that word. Don't ever call yirself those thangs, okay??. Ya wanna what ah think of you??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah".

Applejack smiled. "You're beautiful, smart, adorably cute, and amazing".

Rainbow looked at her like she was crazy.

"But noone has ever said that to a hybrid servant. So that can't be true".

Applejack chuckled. "Rainbow. Why do you think hybrid owner tell their.....".

Applejack had trouble forming the word. She hated saying this. Especially when Rainbow was one of them.

"Slave??", Rainbow spoke up.

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. That".

Rainbow shrugged. "Why??".

"So they can control you", Applejack said. "They know that if they insult you and treat cha like dirt, you'll start to believe it so then you'll believe you deserve that kind of life. A life of pain, hurt, sufferin' and abuse. But that's wrong. Even if you're not fully human. It's wrong".

Rainbow didn't say anythimg. She just looked at Applejack. Applejack gave a gentle squeeze on her hand.

"Whatever terrible things they said to ya is wrong. You're a good person, okay??. And ah promise you one thing".

Rainbow raised an ear up.

"Ah'll always care about cha".

Applejack smiled. "Ah'll never hurt cha. Ah'll never do anythin ta put cha in dangerous. Everythin ah do is fir your own good and safety. Okay??".

Rainbow slowly nodded.

"And", Applejack said. "That means that if I'm able to. If ah have the power and ah can, Ah'll always come back to ya. Ah promise. If ah don't, then that means something's wrong and ah can't come back. But if I have the chance and I can come back, ah will".

Rainbow smiled. "Okay".

Applejack opened her arms.

"Want a hug??".

Rainbow nodded. She leaned on Applejack, burying her face into her shirt, feeling her strong arms wrap around her. Rainbow felt safe in her arms. She knew Applejack wasn't lying.

She smiled. Maybe this wasn't gonna be so bad.

Rainbow pulled away. She looked up at Applejack.

"Mistress??".

Applejack giggled. "Please. Call me Applejack. It's mah name".

Rainbow nodded. "Applejack".

She liked the way the name sounded. It was a nice name. Applejack.

"Yeah, Rainbow??".

Rainbow bit her lip.

"Um........ can we be...... you know..... friends??".

Applejack smiled, laughing lightly.

"Coarse we can. Funny how Ah've wanted ta ask you the same thing", she said.

Rainbow smiled.

"I think I'm gonna like it here".

Applejack nodded. "Me too".

Rainbow suddenly yawned, her ears flattening. She brought her tail over and laid it on her lap. She slowly brushed it, sleep in her eyes. Applejack watched her for a moment, fascinated by the hybrid girl. Rainbow's eyes drooped every so often as she played with her own tail. She was getting herself tired.

"Wanna sleep??".

Rainbow looked at Applejack, her eyes struggling to stay open. She nodded. The girl kicked off her shoes. She curled up right where she was. Applejack giggled.

"Cmere you".

Applejack stood up. She picked Rainbow up. She tucked her into bed, making sure she was comfortable. She turned to leave when Rainbow spoke up.

"Stay".

Applejack looked at her. Her voice was small and begging. Rainbow herself looked like a little kid. Applejack smiled.

"Alright. Scoot over".

Rainbow did as told, giving her room. Applejack took off her boots and hat. She climbed in, laying down beside Rainbow. The two looked at eachother.

"Thank you", Rainbow said. "For saving me".

Applejack smiled. "Ah wasn't gonna let him take you. Rainbow??".

"Yeah??", Rainbow said, nearly dozing off.

"Do ya miss yir family??".

Rainbow's eyes opened. She was quiet.

"Not a day goes by that I don't".

Applejack was quiet. Man. Talk about a rough life. She reached out and ran her hand over Rainbow's ears. She gently scratched behind the ears. The girl immediately leaned into the touch. Applejack smiled. She continued to scratch her ears.

Applejack felt horrible. Rainbow had been through a lot. She wondered if her parents knew she was still alive.

Applejack watched the girl sleep, safe and sound. Rainbow whimpered in her sleep. Applejack continued to stroke her hair softly. Rainbow's whimpers ceased and then she was out like a light.

Applejack pulled her hand away and closed her eyes. She fell asleep.

This was going to be an interesting life with Rainbow around. A good kind of interesting.
