Rainbow woke up to a particularly amazing smell. He nose twitched. Her head lifted off the ground. The girl looked around sleepily. Her eyes felt heavy.

Then she remembered where she was. The new house. Rainbow sat up on the carpet. The teen hybrid stretched herself out, yawning. Her left ear twitched.

She could hear a sizzling sound, which caught her interest. She walked out of the room to investigate the new sound. She walked down the hall to some stairs. She hesitated. Rainbow couldn't help but think to herself.

Don't go. It'll turn out to be just like those other times. You have to be good or else it'll happen again. You know it will. It always happens sooner or later.

Rainbow bit her lip. She decided to not risk it and go back to her room. She turned around.

"Rainbow".

She recognized that voice. It was that girl. Applejack, right??. The girl that bought her. Rainbow turned around. And looked down to see Applejack standing at the bottom of the stairs, looking at her, smiling.

"Mornin", Applejack said.

She walked up the stairs. Rainbow took a few steps back. Applejack came up to her, her hand gripping the rail.
The blonde teen smiled.

"C'mon", she said. "Ah have some things fir you", she said.

Rainbow was taken back.

"For me??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. C'mon".

Applejack led her down the hall to her bedroom. The two walked in. Rainbow saw a plastic bag on the bed and froze.

Applejack walked over to the bed and sat down. She dug through the bag. She then took out a toothbrush, toothpaste, a variety of hair brushes and combs, and other thngs. Rainbow was confused. She slowly walked up to Applejack. Applejack looked at her.

"You got all this for me??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Since this is yir new home, yir gonna need this stuff. Oh and here's your towel".

Applejack took out a large folded up, baby blue towel. She handed it to Rainbow. The hybrid girl looked at it. She seemed surprised by all this. Like she was expecting to get nothing from Applejack but a place to live.

Applejack frowned. "You okay??".

Rainbow looked at her.

"I guess I'm just tired", she said.

Applejack giggled. "Well ah can't blame ya".

Suddenly a look of remembrance crossed her face.

"Oh yeah. Ah firgot", she said. "Ah didn't show ya yir bathroom. It's that door right there".

Rainbow's eyes widened. She looked at the door Applejack was pointing at. She looked back at the other teen, eyes wide.

"Woah".

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"What??".

"First I get my own room, my own bed, then you guys say that you're gonna buy me new clothes. Then you give me all this stuff. Now my own bathroom??".

Applejack nodded slowly. "Yeah. Why does that come as a surprise to ya??".

Rainbow bit her lip, looking away. She shrugged. She suddenly quickly looked at Applejack.

"But thank you, Mistress", she said quickly. "Thank you for all of this".

Applejack ignored the Mistress title again. She smiled.

"Yir welcome, but it was no trouble at all".

It was quiet for a moment. Applejack stood up.

"Well um. Go get ready", she said.

Rainbow nodded. She did a little bow, which she did do before.

"Yes, Mistress".

Rainbow turned around and walked over to the door. She opened it, peeking in. Rainbow found the light switch on the wall and flicked it. Light flooded the room, making her jump.

"Ah'll have yir breakfast ready", Applejack said.

Rainbow suddenly nearly tripped over herself. She held the bag to her chest, freezing. She turned around and faced Applejack. Applejack was looking at her worriedly.

"Are you okay??", she asked.

Rainbow's eyes were wide with shock.

"I get breakfast too??", Rainbow asked, in a tone of disbelief and shock.

Applejack slowly nodded her head.

"Um........ yeah".

Rainbow looked off to the side.

"Wow".

Applejack nodded, not quite sure what else to say.

"Ah'll help ya get set up", she said, walking over to her.

Rainbow peeked into the kitchen. She could hear the sizzling sound and smell that amazing smell of whatever it was. She saw Applejack standing in front of the stove, a spatula in hand.

Ohhh. She was cooking.

Rainbow stood there for a few minutes. It looked Applejack was grilling some jam. She could see the cheese melting on top. It smelled amazing. Rainbow felt her stomach grumbling. Her eyes were glued to the food on the stove, almost as if she was in a trance.

"Hi Rainbow!!".

Rainbow screamed and zipped to the other side of the kitchen, nearly falling onto the counter. Her body pressed against the counter, her hands gripping the granite hard. She saw Pinkie Pie standing there, a confused look on her face. Rainbow looked at Applejack, who was now looking at her.

Rainbow blushed, her eyes flickering to one place to another, looking at the human teens, nervously.

"Pinkie!!", Applejack scolded. "Ya scared her. What did Rarity say about shoutin' when you're standin' right behind someone??".

Pinkie sighed. "It'll give someone a heart attack one day. But still-".

Applejack gave her a look and Pinkie stopped. She then looked at Rainbow. The hybrid looked super on edge and terrified.

"Sorry about that", Applejack said.

Pinkie walked up to her, smiling.

"So. How was your first night here??", she asked. "Did you sleep well??".

Rainbow stared at her as if she was Medusa herself. Frozen and unsure what to do.

Applejack watched the two from her spot. She decided to get Rainbow out of the situation.

"Ah made yir breakfast", she said, picking up a plate.

Rainbow looked at her then at the plate.

"Me??", she asked.

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. This is yir food. C'mon".

Rainbow looled at her for a moment then slowly walked up to her. She looked at the plate with a raised eyebrow.

"Are you sure it's for me??", she asked.

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. C'mon".

Applejack led Rainbow over to a tabke. She set down the plate. Rainbow noticed another plate beside hers. She wanted to ask whose it was but decided against asking questions.

Asking questions was bad.

Rainbow stare at the chair then looked at Applejack who was sitting down. Ohhh. So the extra sandwich was hers.

Applejack looked at her. She noticed Rainbow was still standing.

"Yir not gonna sit??".

Rainbow looked at the chair.

"Am I allowed??", she asked.

Applejack gave her a weird look. "Coarse ya are. You live here".

Rainbow awkwardly sat down beside her. She looked at the steaming sandwich. She glanced over at Applejack who was already eating her food. Applejack looked at her, Rainbow quickly looking away.

"Rainbow??".

Rainbow looked at her. "Yes, Mistress??".

Applejack gave her a look. "What's wrong?".

Rainbow looked at her food. She opened her mouth but couldn't form any words.

"It's just.......... can I eat now or do I have to wait until you eat first??".

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"Are you serious??", she asked with a small laugh, yet her voice said that she was serious.

Rainbow shrunk away.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you".

"You didn't upset me", Applejack said with a shrug. "And you don't need ta ask permission ta eat".

Rainbow gave her a confused look.

"I don't??".

Applejack shook her head. "No. You can eat now".

Rainbow looked at her sandwich. It had been cut into two pieces. She reached out and took a piece. The melted cheese was gooey and looked so yummy. The grilled ham smelled amazing.

Rainbow looked at Applejack then at the sandwich. Applejack glanced up at her as they ate in weird silence. Rainbow stayed frozen, only using one arm to pick up her food, her cup, or her napkin.

Applejack watched the girl eat the food. Her green eyes traveled down, taking the time to examine the girl. Rainbow was skinny and small. Her hair was quite long. Her wolf ears had the blue part of her hair. Her tail was also multicolored.

Applejack wondered to herself. There were so many questions running through her head.

Why was Rainbow like this??. Was she born a hybrid??. Was she turned into one??. Did she have a family??. If she does, do they know she's alive?? Do they even care??. Why was Rainbow in a kennel??. Where was she from??.

Why is she so afraid of everything??

Applejack decided to wait until they had became better friends. Rainbow was obviously still getting use to being in this house. She still had to get use to the girls and then Applejack herself.

"Rainbow", Applejack spoke up softly.

Rainbow looked at her.

"We're goin shoppin' fir yir clothes and we're gonna have lunch at the mall", Applejack said.

Rainbow's eyebrows scrunched together.

"Lunch??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Lunch".

Rainbow looked shocked.

"How many meals do I get in a day??", she asked.

Applejack thought that was a strange question.

"Breakfast, lunch, and dinner", she said. "Plus a snack whenever you feel like it. Why??".

Rainbow shook her head, looking away. Applejack decided not to ask. Not yet at least.

Applejack pulled on a smile. She looked at Rainbow's empty plate.

"C'mon. You wanna watch some videos online?. Ah found this really good show that used to be on tv for kids. It's called Liberty's kids. They have the whole show online with all the episodes".

Rainbow nodded. "Okay".

Applejack got up. Rainbow took the plates and cups. She walked over to the sink and placed them inside.

"I'll wash them", she said.

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"You want to??".

Rainbow looked at her. "I don't mind".

Applejack shrugged. "Sure. Then go ahead. Ah'm gonna go get mah laptop from mah room. Ah'll be right back".

Rainbow suddenly had a scared look.

"You're leaving??".

"What??. No", Applejack said. "Ah'm just goin upstairs real quick. Ah'll come back".

Applejack walked up to Rainbow.

"Are you scared ah won't come back??".

Rainbow looked at her.

"Yes, Mistress".

Applejack felt bad for her. She could only imagine what the this girl had gone through to think that Applejack would leave her out of nowhere.

"Stay here", Applejack said. "Ah'll be right back".

Applejack walked out of the room. She hurried upstairs. She came to her room. She stopped suddenly.

Her room was neat and organized. The bed had been made and all the clothes that was on the floor had been put in the clothes basket.

"Woah".

Applejack looked around. She spotted her laptop on her desk. Walking over to the desk, she picked up the laptop. Checking to make sure it had full battery, Applejack tucked it under her arm. She looked around her clean bedroom.

Who could have cleaned her room for her?? None of her friends other than Rarity and Twilight clean her room like this. But they never make the bed. So that only left one person. Rainbow.

Applejack looked around. Having Rainbow around was like having a slave. She asked for permission to do anything with the girls. She cleaned for Applejack and called her Mistress.

This girl........ hybrid..... Rainbow was weird and it was starting to worry Applejack. She wanted to know what was wrong with her. She couldn't help but worry. Rainbow had been acting strange ever since she got here.

But then Applejack couldn't complain. Rainbow had been nothing but sweet and helpful and kind.

Applejack smiled. Rainbow was adorable and beautiful and fascinating and very speacial. The girl was different. Of coarse she was. She was part wolf. But it was something else. She just had a vibe that attracted Applejack to her like a magnet.

For some reason, Applejack wanted to to be around her all the time. She felt weird whenever Rainbow wasn't by her side and it's only been a day since she.......... adopted her.

Applejack didn't like the word BUY. Rainbow wasn't an object. Although that's exactly what Applejack had done. She did buy Rainbow. But she didn't like saying it. It felt wrong. She didn't like the idea of owning another person, even if they were part animal.

So she was going to say that she adopted her.

Applejack realized that she wanted them to be friends. It would be nice for Rainbow to have friends. The hybrid didn't seem bad at all. They could become best friends in time, if they only tried. If only one of them took the first step. That was going to be Applejack.

Who knows??. Applejack would just have to see. All she knew was that shopping was going to be interesting.
