Rainbow stared up at the door. She felt her stomach twist and churn. She didn't know if she could do this. This was the same house she hazily remembered from her lost childhood. Well, it was bigger than a normal house. It was obviously expensive, seeing the fountain out on the large lawn and the huge staircase that lead to the front door.

"Rainbow?".

Rainbow turned her head. She saw Applejack looking at her, a worried look on her face.

"It's okay", Applejack said. "Ah won't leave yir side if ya don't want me to".

Rainbow nodded. She was extremely nervous. She looked at the door again. She took a deep breath. Reaching out a shaking hand And knocked on th door three times. She pulled her hand away quickly, holding it close to her chest. She looked at Applejack.

"What if they don't like me??", she asked.

"What if....... they think I'm a freak??".

Applejack wrapped an arm around her waist.

"They won't", she said. "If they're as great as you say they were, they'll love you just the same".

Rainbow rubbed her arm, nervously chewing on her lip. Suddenly the door was opened. Rainbow quickly hid behind Applejack in fear.

Applejack sighed and looked up. A man I'm a suit stood there. He looked like a butler. He looked at Applejack.

"How can I help you??", he asked.

Applejack looked behind herself. She felt Rainbow's hands clutching her shirt, her head resting on her back. She looked up at the man and smiled.

"Hi. Mah name's Applejack Smith. Is Mr and Mrs.Dash here??".

"Yes. Ma'am", the man said. "Why do you ask-"

He suddenly stopped. He stared behind Applejack. Applejack looked over her shoulder to see Rainbow looking around her, clutching her arm.

Applejack looked at the man. He looked lost for words.

"Rainbow??", he said. "Is that you?".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah".

"Do you know her??", Applejack asked, raising an eyebrow.

The man nodded.

"Yes. The whole staff here knew her. We....... I'll just be a moment".

The man turned and quickly walked away. The girls were quiet.

"What do you think he's doing??", Rainbow asked.

"Ah don't know", Applejack said.

She placed her hand on top of Rainbow's. Rainbow snuggled into Applejack's embrace, her height making it easier to fit in her arms.

"I'm scared".

Applejack gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"It's alright, sugarcube. There's nothin' ta fear. Alright??. Ah'm right here".

Rainbow nodded.

They heard voices coming towards them. Rainbow adjusted the beanie on her head. The door opened wider. The man was back with a woman. She was a short round woman, with light pink hair done in a bun.

She gasped, looking at the girls.

"Oh my celestia", she said. "Rainbow!!".

Rainbow smiled. Applejack looked at her. She seemed to have recognized the woman.

"Ms.Tart", she said.

"Oooh", the woman cooed excitedly. "Cmere you".

Rainbow looked at Applejack, obviously unsure if she should.

Applejack smiled at her. She nodded.

"Go on", she said quietly. "It's okay. You know them".

Rainbow looled at the woman. She smiled and walked up to her. The woman wrapped her in a hug.

"We've missed you", Ms.Tart said. "It's been so long".

The woman pulled away, keeping Rainbow at arms length. She examined her.

"What on earth??".

The three females looked at the butler. His eyes were wide. Rainbow knew exactly what he was looking at. Her tail. Rainbow turned 90 degrees, looking back at her tail. The woman gasped.

"Is that a tail??", she asked.

Rainbow's body turned to face her again. Rainbow nodded. "Yes. I was turned into a neko", she said.

"A human-animal hybrid??", Ms.Tart asked.

Rainbow nodded. "It's a long story".

Applejack sighed. "You have no idea what she's been through all these years".

Rainbow slowly reached up and took off her beanie. Her eyes stood up. Rainbow looked away, afraid to see their reaction.

"I'm part wolf", she said.

Rainbow took a step back. Applejack wrapped an arm around her waist. Rainbow twisted the beanie in her hands nervously.

"This was probably a bad idea", she said.

"No, Rainbow", Applejack said. "Ya came to see yir family again and that's what we're gonna do".

Rainbow looked at her. "But-".

Applejack leaned in and kissed her. Rainbow stopped talking. Applejack pulled away.

"No buts", she said. "Stay positive. Ya don't know if it'll turn out as bad as ya think".

Rainbow sighed. She smiled.

"Okay. I'll try".

The two girls looked at the woman and man. The two adults had shock all over their faces.

Rainbow giggled. "Like I said, long story".

The man nodded. "Right".

Ms.Tart shool herself out of her daze.

"Well what are we standing here for??", she asked. "Come in dears. Please".

The girls were ushered inside, the man closing the door. Rainbow and Applejack looked around.

"Wow".

Rainbow looked at the high ceiling. The marbles pillars. There was tiled floors, polished tables and vases with flowers in them. It was also kinda dark. The windows had curtains drawn over them, leaving the place gloomy and depressing.

"We are so happy to see you again, Rainbow", Ms.Tart said.

The girls looked at the adults. Ms.Tart giggled.

"Oh. We're sorry. Where are my manners??".

The woman looked at Applejack.

"My name is Ms.Tart. I'm the head of the staff here".

"And my name is Brunswick, the personal housekeeper", the butler said. "It's nice to meet you".

Applejack smiled. "Hi. Nice ta meet cha. Ah'm Applejack".

"Well", Ms.Tart said. "I don't know about you ladies, but I know that Mrs.Dash and Mr.Dash have missed you dearly and would love to see you again".

"They would??", Rainbow said.

The two adults nodded.

"Yes", Brunswick said. "Your mother and father were heartbroken when you were kidnapped all those years ago. They missed you dearly".

Ms.Tart laughed. "Miss isn't even the right word", she said. "They mourned for her for years. Their hearts were shredded to pieces. Your mother cried almost every day. She was restless when the police sent out a search for you".

She sighed. "Your father was beside himself when the police gave up a year later. You were nowhere to be found. We all weren't ourselves for a while. The house had lost its light and joy as you can see from the darkness".

Ms.Tart smiled.

"Rainbow dear. You were light of this house. The jewel and the apple of your parents' eyes. This place hasn't been the same without you. I can promise you that".

She pulled Rainbow into a bear hug.

"But you're back and your parents are finally going to have what they've been wishing for".

Rainbow exhaled. "But what about me being half wolf??", she asked. "What if think-".

"Rainbow", the woman said. "Like Applejack told you, your parents love you with all their hearts. More than anyone else on earth. They won't even notice your tail. They'll be too busy hugging you to death to notice".

Rainbow nodded. "Alright. Are they here??".

"Yeah", Brunswick said. "I'll go break the news to them".

The man turned and hurried down the hall, a skip in his skip. He hurried away. Rainbow rubbed her arm. She bit her lip. She suddenly felt a hand in hers. Applejack stood beside her.

"You ready, baby??".

Rainbow sighed. "As ready as I'll ever be".

They heard footsteps coming down the hall. Rainbow's heart stopped. She quickly hid behind Applejack.

"Don't move", she whispered.

Applejack reached behind her and took her hand.

Looking up, she saw Brunswick come around the corner, two men and a woman right behind him.

Brunswick stopped. The man and woman stopped as well, looking at Applejack and Ms.Tart. The man was tall and built. He had lavender hued skin and short dark blue hair. The woman had white skin, much like Rarity. She had pale rainbow colored hair and magenta eyes. She looked exactly like Rainbow Dash.

"Spotlight", the woman, who Applejack guessed was Mrs.Dash, said. "Is it true??. Is she really here??".

Ms.Tart smiled and nodded.

"Yes, Eden. She's here".

Eden and her husband looked at Applejack. Applejack reached behind her.

"It's okay", she said. "C'mon, Rainbow".

Rainbow clutched Applejack's hand. She slowly came out from behind her, clutching her arm. She looked at the man and woman. Eden and Mr.Dash gasped. Eden brought a hand to her mouth.

Rainbow clutched her hands together, unreadable expression.

"Mommy. Daddy".

So yup. Comment your thoughts on this and such. Actually, I think this story is gonna be a few chapters longer than I thought. I have an idea for the next few parts ;)
