The police came and the girls told them what had happened. Applejack explained to them that Rainbow's a hybrid neko and about the sellimg of nekos and all that stuff.

She gave them a picture of Rainbow foe them to use for identifying her. They found some DNA samples from the syringe the men used to sedate Rainbow.

The search began. Weeks after weeks went by. Nothimg. The police put up posters and asked around. The news was even talking about it to get the word out. Applejack tried to convince herself it would work. But as the weeks and months went by, she began to lose hope.

Of coarse she glanced around carefully at every gi, wherever they went, looking for those wolf ears and rainbow colored hair. She never did.

The girls had even driven to nearby towns and put up posters and to alert people about Rainbow's kidnap and to look out if they see her. But nothing came up. It was like she vanished off the face of the planet.

Then a year went by. Still nothing. No one had seen Rainbow or the men that took her. The group of girls had come to the conclusion that Rainbow was dead.

Applejack of coarse refused to believe it. She couldn't just claim Rainbow was dead. She had to be alive. She could feel it. After another few months of nothing, Applejack had to accept it. Rainbow wasn't coming back. She had to be dead.

The girls had a memorial for Rainbow Dash.

It was quiet that day in the park. The sun was hidden by the clouds. The small group gathered, were silent, some in tears.

Applejack stared blankly at the group of candles and pictures they created. She didn't know what to think. Her heart was in pieces as she looked at the picture of Rainbow Dash. It was the last picture they took of Rainbow before she was taken. She was sitting on Applejack's lap on their sofa at home, laughing, her eyes filled with joy. Applejack had her arms around her waist, smiling.

The girls were around them, Applejack's dad was the one to take the picture. It had been the best day ever. They had gone to the water park later that day.

It was Rainbow's first time at one.

Applejack felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned her head to see Twilight standing beside her, tears in her eyes.

Looking back at the candles. She didn't want to believe it. Rainbow couldn't be gone. If she was, Applejack would feel it. Applejack couldn't help that small voice in the back of her head, telling her not to give up. Rainbow was still alive.

Applejack tapped the glass with her knuckle as she stared out the window. Trees and cars and signs whizzed past in blur of color.

If Rainbow was here, she'd be sticking her head out the window, her tongue out like the cute little nutcase she is.

"Applejack??".

Applejack turned her head. She looked at Fluttershy.

"Huh??".

"Rarity said we're going to stop at that cafe over there", Fluttershy repeated herself, obviously having said it once, but Applejack must've been too lost in thought to hear.

"Alright", Rarity called from the driver's seat. "We're gonna take a break".

She pulled off the highway and to a section of stores. She drove into the parking lot and parked in a spot. The girls got out. They headed to the café.

Walking in, they were hit by cool air and the smell of coffee and baked goods. Pinkie breathed in the scent. She exhaled.

"So delicious".

Applejack giggled. "C'mon".

The girls went up to the counter. They ordered whatever they wanted. After paying, they got their stuff and sat down at a table in the corner.

Applejack took out her chocolate chip muffin. She stared at it for a while.

"You okay??".

Applejack glanced up at Pinkie. The girls were staring at her. Applejack sighed.

"Rainbow loved chocolate chip muffins. It was her favorite".

It was silent.

"Sorry", Applejack said, her eyes looking away.

Twilight smiled. "It's alright. We understand. You miss her more than any of us".

Applejack nodded. She sighed and took a bite. Pinkie giggled.

"Remember the time she stole your muffin??".

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"When??".

"That one time we went to Sugarcube Corner so she could meet Derpy", Fluttershy answered. "She stole it when you weren't looking".

Applejack's eyes widened.

"That was her??".

The girls laughed and nodded. Applejack chuckled.

"That gal. Remember when she chased the mailman down the street an we had ta go after her??".

"Rainbow had his pants in her mouth when we caught up to them", Rarity said, giggling. "He refused to come back down our street".

Applejack laughed. She sighed. They had some good times with Rainbow.

"And bet that if Rainbow were here", Applejack said. "She'd be eat'n her muffin with chocolate an' crumbs on her face. She'd get it in her hair somehow".

Applejack glanced around the shop boredly. Something caught her eye. There was three people sitting in the other corner of the shop. There were two men sitting with a smaller person between them. The person had a hood on so they couldn't see their face.

Applejack raised an eyebrow. Strange. She looked back at the other girls.

"Guys", she whispered. "Do ya'll see those people sitting over there??".

The girls looked over at the men and the mysterious person.

"Yeah", Rarity whispered. She glanced back at them.

She looked at Applejack.

"They're giving me the creeps", she said.

Applejack tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and looked back at the men. Rarity was right. They looked like people that would kidnap someone or rob banks for a living.

Applejack looked at the hooded person. She had this feeling deep down inside of her.

The blomde teen looked at her friends.

"Ah have ta see who that person is", she said.

"Why??", Fluttershy asked.

AJ shrugged. "Ah don't know. Ah just have a feelin that ah have ta see their face".

The girls looked at eachother.

Twilight looked at Applejack.

"Applejack", she said, keeping her voice low. "Rainbow's gone. We hope and pray that she isn't but......... we never found her".

Applejack sighed, her shoulders slumping.

"Ah know, ah know", she sighed. "Ah just can't give up. Ah can feel she's still out there".

Applejack shrugged, resting her head on her hand.

"C'mon", she heard a voice say.

Applejack looked over her shoulder. She saw the men and the hooded person standing up. One of the men grabbed the the smaller person by their wrist. The men started to drag them towards the door. The girls looked away.

They passed the group of girls. The girls hid their faces from them. Applejack peeked out from behind her stetson. She saw something fall out of the hooded person's pocket. They were out the door in seconds, the bell above the door ringing. Applejack got up. She looked at the object on the floor.

Kneeling down she picked up a folded piece of paper.

"What's that??".

The girls were surrounding her to see. Applejack unfolded the piece of paper. There was another folded up paper with it. They gasped. It was a picture of all of them and Rainbow.

Applejack shot to her feet.

"That was Rainbow", Applejack said.

They heard the bell ring again. They looked at the doorway. They saw the hooded person and the men walk back in.

"I'll just grab it, real quick", the person with the hoodie said.

Applejack's ears perked up at the voice.

Why does that sound alot like.....

One of the men grunted. "Why do you have to be so stupid and clumsy??".

The girls recognized that voice from somewhere. They've heard it before.

The men and the person suddenly stopped. The girls stared at the trio.

Applejack looked at the hooded stranger.

"Rainbow??. Is it really you??".

The men immediately recognized them.

"Oi!!. Not you again!!", one guy said.

One of the men grabbed the hooded person and they ran out.

"HELP!!".

"Kidnapper!!", Rarity screamed, getting people's attention. "Stop them!!".

The girls bolted after them. Applejack pushed the door open, reaching for her phone. She ran outside, sliding her thumb across the screen to unlock it. She looked around, already pressing on the camera icon.

"APPLEJACK!!".

Applejack looked to the left. She saw the men get into a car. Applejack ran towards it. She was so close. But the car door slammed closed and sped off before she could grab the door.

Applejack held up her phone and snapped a pick. She looked up and watched as the car drove off onto the highway and down the street.

Applejack's arm fell to her side, panting.

"Oh my celestia".

The girls looked at eachother, shock covering their faces.

"She's alive", Twilight said. "I can't believe it".

Applejack looked down at her phone. A picture of the license plate was on her screen. She thanked Celestia she had taken her passcode lock off the day before. Now all they needed was the police.

"Twi. Call the police", she said. "Tell them we saw Rainbow Dash".

"Me and Fluttershy are going to see if there is a security camera room", Rarity said. "I see one up there".

Applejack didn't have to look to know that there was in fact a security camera, recording the parking lot.

Applejack looked at the pictures in her hand. The second picture was still folded up. Applejack careful unfolded it. Her tongue felt heavy in mouth. It was a picture of her and Rainbow Dash from all those years ago.

Applejack at her phone. She studied the car and the license plate number.

"Don't worry, Rainbow", she said quietly. "Ah told ya ah'd find you again".
