This has happened to alot of my friends. They're 15 years old and they cry like babies when they get a needle.

"Do I have to??".

Applejack sighed. "Yes".

Rainbow whined. "Nooo".

"Rainbow", Applejack said. "It's not that bad".

Rainbow crossed her arms.

"They hurt", she pouted. "I don't like needles".

Applejack smiled softly. "Ah know. Rainbow, it's a flu shot. You don't wanna get the flu, do ya??".

Rainbow sighed. "Fine".

Applejack placed a hand on her shoulder.

"There's mah brave girl. Plus you have a check up first".

Rainbow groaned. "That'll just give me some time to slowly build up my anxiety. Great".

Applejack lightly slapped her thigh.

"Go take a shower. We leave in two hours".

Rainbow sighed and stood up. This was gunna be fun.

Rainbow, Applejack, and her dad walked into the waiting room. Rainbow looked around. She saw colorful tiles, a toy section, a large fish tank. There were cartoon stickers of Dora and Go Diego Go on the walls.

The three walked over to the sign in. They signed Rainbow Dash in. Jackson did some paperwork while Rainbow Dash and Applejack sat down.

"I like it here", Rainbow said smiling.

Applejack smiled back. "Look at the tv".

Rainbow looked up at the small tv. She smiled.

"Yay", she said quietly. "Team Oomizoomi".

NickJr was always on in the waiting room. Then again, the clinic was for children. Rainbow leaned on Applejack as she watched her favorite cartoon characters on the screen.

Time passed. Applejack noticed just how much people were there. It seemed to take forever. Rainbow was getting hungry and restless.

Applejack and her father had to hold Rainbow Dash down. The teen wouldn't stop moving. She was all over the place. At the fish tank, the play area, or hopping around on the "very pretty and colorful squares" as Rainbow liked to call them. As for Applejack. Well, she dragged along wherever Rainbow Dash went in the room.

She looked at her dad.

"Help me", she mouthed.

Jackson laughed quietly. He motioned over to Rainbow. Applejack turned her head and looked at the teen. Rainbow was playing with the maze on the wall. Rainbow was fascinated by the magnets.

She looked cute. Applejack smiled.

"Rainbow Dash??".

The girls turned around. They saw a nurse standing at a door, a clipboard in hand.

"That's us", Jackson called, standing up.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash stood uo and walked over to the nurse. She smiled warmly.

"Hi", she said. "Go down to room E".

The trio walked down the short hallways, down to the room. Walking in Rainbow immediately went to the exam bed and hopped on. Applejack stood beside her, leaning on the exam bed.

They talked for a bit until a nurse came in. She had dark red hair and light skin. She was tall.

"Rainbow??".

Rainbow nodded. The nurse smiled.

"Hi. I'm Lollipop. Follow me please".

Rainbow smiled and followed her. She and the nurse walked out of the room and down the hall to another room. The nurse walked over to a computer. She typed some stiff in.

"Your name is Rainbow Eden Dash. Date of birth??".

"December 1st 1998", Rainbow replied.

"Any allergies??".

Rainbow shook her head. "Nope".

"Okay. Do you feel any pain??".

Rainbow shook her head again. "No".

"Take off your shoes", the nurse said. She pointed at a scale that stood next to a chair. "And step onto the scale please".

Rainbow did as told. She took her sneakers off and put them aside. She stepped onto the scale, standing still.

The nurse weighed her.

"Okay. Step off and stand against the wall so we can check your height".

Rainbow got off. Walking the short distance to the wall, she turned around, and pressed herself to the wall, her heels against the wall. The nurse measured her.

"Okay. You are 4'11 and 112 pounds. That's good".

Rainbow smiled. She sat down on a chair. The nurse smiled and sat on a rolling chair. She took out a blood pressure thing. She did all that.

"Okay", Lollipop said pulling the stethoscope away. "You're good. Head on back to the room".

Rainbow nodded. She put her shoes back on and walked back to the room.

She smiled at Applejack.

"I'm 4'11 and 112 pounds", she said getting up on the bed thing.

Applejack smiled. "Aww so small".

Rainbow stuck her tongue out at her.

"Jealous".

Applejack chuckled. "As if".

Suddenly a doctor walked in. It was a female. She introduced herself.

"So I'm just here to give you an exam", she said.

Rainbow nodded.

The doctor looked at Jackson.

"Could you step outside until we're done??".

Jackson nodded. "Coarse".

He stood up.

"I'll be in the waiting room if you need me", he told the girls.

He walked out. The doctor did her exam and all.

"Everything seems to be great. You're growth and development is normal and you're healthy. Good job".

The doctor smiled at Applejack. She saw the girls holding hands.

"This your girlfriend??", she asked Rainbow.

Rainbow nodded. "Yup. This is Applejack".

The doctor smiled at Applejack.

"She's a good kid", she said.

Applejack nodded. The nurse collected her papers.

"Now", she said. "All you need is to be up date with your shot records".

Rainbow's heart stopped. The lady looked at her chart.

"You need three different shots. The flu shot and your vaccines".

The nurse looked up at Rainbow Dash. The teen had paled. The woman smiled.

"It won't be that bad".

She turned walked out, closing the door.

"Three??!".

Rainbow looked at Applejack with wide eyes. Applejack rubbed her arm.

"It'll be okay babe".

Rainbow's pulse was racing. She bit her lip nervously. Her heart stopped when the door opened.

The nurse walked in with a small tray. She put them down. Rainbow saw four needles, four bandaids, needles, disinfectant wipe packets, needles. Oh god needles.

Rainbow whimpered. The nurse looked at her.

"It's alright sweetie", she said. "It'll be over before you know it".

Rainbow looked at Applejack, silently begging her not to make her go through with this. Applejack just gave her comforting smile.

"It'll be okay babe. Ah can hold ya if ya want".

Rainbow nodded. Applejack smiled and pulled her onto her lap. Nurse Lollipop got everything ready. She put the bandaid on her upper arm.
She disinfected it and picked up the first needle.

Rainbow hid her face in Applejack's shirt. She felt her arm held. Then the needle. She whimpered. Applejack rubbed her back.

It hurt. Alot. Each made the throvving hurt worse than the last.

"Just once more", the nurse said.

Rainbow was not okay. She was on the verge of tears. She had two bandaids on one arm. They were on her other arm now. Rainbow gripped Applejack's hand. Rainbow whimpered loudly as the needles pinched her skin. A few seconds passed and the needle was out.

Tears ran Rainbow's face. The poor kid sniffled snd cried into Applejack's shirt. She looked at the nurse.

"There. All done".

The nurse cleaned up.

"You're free to go".

She gave Rainbow Dash a lollipop with a smile.

"Here you go".

Rainbow took it and thanked her quietly. The nurse walked out. Jackson came in when she walked out. He saw Rainbow crying and frowned. Applejack held her and rubbed her back.

"It hurt", Rainbow cried. Applejack kissed her head. She thought Rainbow was overreacting. But she'd never say that to her girlfriend. Needles never bothered Applejack. But that didn't mean it didn't hurt Rainbow Dash.

She rocked the girl.

"Shhh. It's over. You're okay".

Rainbow sniffled. Jackson sat down beside them. He rubbed her back. He knew Rainbow wasn't crying just because of the pain. She was partially just scared.

She had just been scared of the needles and that caused the pain.

"C'mon", he said quietly. "Each chur lollipop and ah'll take ya girls home".

Rainbow unwrapped her candy and popped it into her mouth. She wiped her tears away and sniffled. She hopped off the bed. The three walked out of the room.

"Finally home".

The girls walked into the house, shutting the door. Rainbow was calm now, just focusing on her candy. She kept her mind off the dull pain in her arms.

They hurt like hell. Applejack held her hand.

"You wanna take a nap??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah".

Applejack led her upstairs. They walked into their bedroom, closing the door. The two changed their clothes and got into bed, the lights off.
Laying down, Rainbow sighed. She grimaced at the pain of the needles. She sighed. Applejack wrapped an arm around her waist.

"It hurts", Rainbow said.

Applejack kissed her forehead. "Ah know babe. Ah know".

"No more needles", Rainbow said.

Applejack shook her head. "That's right. No more".

Rainbow sniffled. She slowly fell asleep. Applejack watched her. She felt bad that Rainbow had to cry.

She didn't like that Rainbow was in pain but Applejack was happy that Rainbow would be healthy. She got her flu shot so she would be safe from the flu. She hated needles.

Applejack sighed quietly.

"Ah hate needles too".
