A dream vacation part 4
Enjoy :)
"Told you she would be out."
Applejack grinned at Strike. Applejack peeked over her shoulder at Rainbow Dash, who was knocked out on her back. Applejack had to carry her out of the airport and to the rental car they would be using.
Rainbow had fallen asleep during the plane ride and they barely got her to wake up to be able for them to leave the plane. Rainbow Dash was like a zombie, her hair partly messed up, little grunts and moans the only sounds that she made. She had even glared at the flight attendant at the plane exit way who told her to "have a nice night".
Applejack had to apologize. Rainbow looked ready to kill anyone and everyone. She had pushed Strike off when he tried to ruffle her hair.
Rainbow mumbled under her breath, imitating Jackson when he spoke to her, asking her if she was okay.
She nearly cursed at Applejack for laughing. Applejack just took her by the hand and dragged her to the baggage claim. Applejack eventually had to carry Rainbow Dash. Rainbow was whining the whole way about how she so tired, she might as well be sleeping beauty, but not even true love's kiss could wake her up.
Applejack rolled her eyes.
"If you don't shut up, if ya ever get out under a sleepin' spell, ah ain't wakin' you up."
Rainbow glared at her.
"If you do that, and if I die of starvation, I'll swear to whatever god is out there, I will haunt you until you die."
Jackson and Strike were holding back laughter, trying not to be a part of the conversation. Applejack shook with laughter. She found Rainbow's attempt to be threatening funny.
"Oh no. What a nightmare."
She then smirked.
"Hey. At least ah get a sexy ghost."
Rainbow blushed. She huffed and looked away, grumbling about how Applejack should go away or shut up.
"Just go to sleep." Applejack said. "You're just tired."
They arrived at the car. Jackson took out the key and unlocked the doors. He opened one of the back doors for Applejack, then he and Strike went to the back to out the suitcases in the trunk. Applejack put Rainbow down and they climbed into the back seat, closing the door behind them.
After they all were in, Strike took out his phone.
"I'll put the, um, the address of the hotel in gps thing." He said.
"Yeah." Jackson said, chuckling, buckling his seat belt. "Good idea. Cause I have no idea where it is."
As Strike and Jackson were setting all that up, in the back seat, Applejack was buckling in Rainbow Dash, who was falling asleep and couldn't care less about car safety. Applejack buckled herself in. Rainbow immediately laid down and rested her head on Applejack's lap. Applejack pulled her blanket over Rainbow's body. She gently rested her hand on Rainbow's upper back, rubbing it softly.
"Alright, gentlemen." She said, her voice soft. "This girl is out like a light."
"Alright." Jackson said. "We got the directions and...... off we go."
Jackson turned on the car engine. After a quick examination of the car controls, radio, side view mirrors, he was ready. He drove out of the parking lot and onto the street. It was about one in the morning, so there weren't many cars on the road, except for people coming to and from the airport.
Applejack watched the streetlights and the tropical palm trees as they drove on down the road. She looked down at Rainbow Dash. The girl was sound asleep, a steady rise and fall of her chest. She moonlight made her seem like she was glowing a white aura.
Applejack smiled softly. She brushed Rainbow's feathery hair from out her face. She placed butterfly kisses on Rainbow's face and hair.
It seemed liked only a few minutes when they finally pulled up to a huge hotel parking lot. Applejack waited for her dad to park and turn off the car.
Jackson and Strike turned around and looked back at the teens.
"Hm. She's exhausted." Strike commented, referring to Rainbow "Let's get in there and check in and get her to bed."
Applejack nodded. She looked down at Rainbow Dash. She gently shook her.
"Rainbow," she said, "we're here. Wake up."
Rainbow inhaled through her nose, shifting. She then went back to sleep.
Applejack snickered, shaking her head.
"Rainbow." She said a little louder.
Rainbow whined. "What?."
"Wake up, babe. We're here."
Rainbow rubbed her eyes. Her eyes cracked open. She yawned, stretching.
"What'd I miss?." She asked, sitting up.
Rainbow continued to rub her tired eyes.
"The car ride to the hotel. We're here, so let's go get out stuff."
They got out of the car. Rainbow nearly fell out, because she was basically half asleep. Applejack caught her by the arm, trying not to laugh at her girlfriend. They managed to get their luggage out of the trunk. Applejack once again carried Rainbow Dash. They went into the lobby, where an orange haired woman wearing a baby blue polo shirt with the hotel logo was sitting at the front desk.
She noticed them walking up and smiled.
"Hi. Welcome to the Marina Springs Hotel. Are you here for check in??."
"Yeah." Jackson replied. "We have two rooms reserved under mah name. Jackson Smith."
The woman looked up the information on her computer.
"Ah yes. Here we go. Room 308 and 309 on the fourth floor."
The woman got out two cards. She handed them to Jackson.
"Here you go. Hope you all get a great night's sleep. Judging by the girl on your back, you're all ready for bed."
They all turned and looked at Rainbow Dash. They all laughed quietly.
"Yeah." Jackson said with a smile. "She's kinda the kid of the group. The one that's excited for the vacation but falls asleep and doesn't wanna wake up this early in the mornin."
The woman hummed in amusement.
"Well, you have a great night."
They thanked her and wished a good night as well before going to the elevator. They rode it up to the fourth floor. They found their rooms.
Jackson and Strike put their luggages in their room before Jackson unlocked the door for Applejack. AJ walked into the room, flicking on the light. She smiled, looking around. A big room, flat screen tv, two king sized beds, one of which was calling Applejack's name.
Applejack looked at her dad.
"Rainbow is gonna like this when she wakes up."
"I bet." Strike said, glancing around.
The men put the girls' stuff on the floor by a wall. Applejack put Rainbow Dash to bed. Taking off her shoes and ticketing her in with a kiss on forehead, she looked at Jackson.
"Good night, honey." Jackson said to Applejack. "Ah love you."
"Goodnight, Dad." Applejack replied. "Ah love you too."
"If you need anything." Strike said. "We're right next door. Just knock. Your room key is right next to the tv."
He showed Applejack where. AJ nodded.
"Alright." She said.
Jackson and Strike left the room, closing the door with a soft click. Applejack looked around the room, then at Rainbow Dash. Applejack looked down at her gray sweatpants and red T-shirt. Good enough for bed.
Applejack yawned.
"Yup. She ready fir bed."
Applejack walked over to her book bag that was with Rainbow's on the floor. She knelt down and unzipped the front pocket. She fished out her phone charger. Applejack found an outlet and plugged in her charger, connecting to her phone.
She did the same with Rainbow's phone.
Once she was sure they were charging, Applejack kicked off her shoes, flicked off of the light, and crawled into bed with Rainbow Dash. Applejack was completely aware of the empty bed not even five feet away, but Rainbow seemed a lot more inviting.
Applejack crawled underneath the covers and laid down beside Rainbow Dash. Applejack sighed and relaxed. She looked at her sleeping girlfriend. She saw the steady rise and fall of her chest. Applejack scooted over and wrapped an arm around her waist. She kissed her cheek which caused Rainbow to stir in her sleep. She settled down and didn't move again.
Applejack closed her eyes, a small smile on her face. Tomorrow would be the start of a great vacation. But for now, sleep was much needed. Applejack fell asleep, joining her girlfriend in dreamland.
So yeah. Comment what you think :)
