Jackson and Strike pushed the carryon luggage into the luggage compartments above. Shutting the doors, the men sat down in their seats, allowing the people behind them to pass through the aisle. They looked over at Applejack and Rainbow Dash.

The sight was somewhat funny to see. They saw Applejack sitting down in her seat trying to calm an excited Rainbow Dash. Rainbow was looking everywhere, swinging her legs back and forth.

"This is so awesome." Rainbow said to Applejack.

Applejack grinned. "Yeah. It is. Now. Calm down and relax for a bit. Okay??."

Rainbow Dash took a deep breath and then released it. She sat back in her seat. Applejack had their book bags in front of them on the floor. She was setting up some stuff like Rainbow's book and their water bottles. Once everything was settled in, Applejack sat back with a sigh.

"Ah'm so tired."

Suddenly a flight attendant came up to them, a bright smile on her face.

"Hi." She greeted, keeping her voice quiet. "Can I get you ladies something to drink??."

Applejack and Rainbow looked at each other. This was unexpected. Already?

"You want orange juice??." Applejack asked.

Rainbow nodded. Applejack looked at the flight attendant.

"Two orange juices, please."

The woman nodded. She moved on to Strike and Jackson across the small aisle.

Rainbow looked around. She clutched her phone and earbuds in her hand. Rainbow unlocked her phone and went to her messages. She saw a message from Twilight, asking if they'd gotten on the plane yet. Rainbow clicked on it and replied.

Rainbow: Yup. We just boarded

Rainbow Dash locked her phone and looked up and over at Applejack. She smiled.

"Hi."

Applejack heard Rainbow and looked at her. She smiled back.

"Hey, babe."

Rainbow nodded. She looked around the space.

"I've never been in first class before."

"Really??." Applejack said.

Rainbow nodded. "Really. It's so cool."

Rainbow turned her head. She watched the other passengers board the plane and pass them by. It was interesting to see all the different people, from different places.

Finally everyone was on board. The gate and plane door was closed. The flight attendant came back with their drinks. She came up to the teens, the gentle and kind smile still on her face. She bent over slightly, so she was close to the girls. She handed them their glasses of orange juice. Rainbow and Applejack placed the cups on their built in coasters.

"Our menu today is Lobster Mac n' cheese or Black Bean Chili." The flight attendant said, her voice still quiet. "Which one would you like??."

The girls looked at each other, thinking. They looked at the flight attendant.

"Macaroni". The said in unison, causing them to look at each other and giggle.

The woman gave a nod and walked to Strike and Jackson. Rainbow looked at Applejack, smiling.

"Lobster??. We get to eat lobster here??."

Applejack shrugged. "Ah guess so."

Rainbow Dash grinned. "I like it here. I get treated like the queen I am."

Applejack couldn't help but snicker. Rainbow was such a mess.

"If that's what you think." She said, before looking back at her phone.

"Attention all passengers." The overhead speaker said. "Please direct your attention to the front to the flight attendant for a quick safety guide.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack looked up ahead to see a male flight attendant standing the doorway. The person on the speaker gave the safety instructions on seat belts and how to use them, life vests, oxygen masks. The man lifted up the items that were talked about and gave a physical demonstration. They talked about exits and where to go if an emergency. The girls drank their orange juice as the person talked. Blah blah blah.

When that was done the overhead speaker said, "Welcome aboard, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for flying with us tonight. I'm Aerial Stream, your captain. The flight tonight will be approximately three hours. We should arrive at 1:30 am. The overhead seatbelt sign is on. Please wait until it is turned off until you are allowed to get out of your seat. Our plane will be taking off in just a few minutes, so sit back and relax and we hope you enjoy the flight."

Rainbow turned to the window, finishing the last of her juice. She pushed the shade open and looked outside. There wasn't much to see yet. Just the plane next to theirs.

Rainbow turned her head to look at Applejack.

"Hey. Applejack."

AJ looked at her. "Yeah??."

Rainbow reached out and poked her cheek.

"You're the best. I love you."

Applejack leaned over and kissed her on the head.

"Ah love you too."

Suddenly they felt a shift. Rainbow and Applejack looked out the window. They were moving. Rainbow sat back. She looked out the window, feeling the movement of the plane.

It made her uneasy. Rainbow closed the window shade and looked at her lap, playing with her hoodie sleeve. She tried not to think about the movement. She only tried to concentrate on her breathing and focus on not panicking. Rainbow felt a hand slip into hers.

She turned her head to see Applejack looking at her.

"What's wrong??." Applejack asked.

Rainbow shook her head, not wanting to worry Applejack or make feel obligated to take care of her. Rainbow could do this on her own. Rainbow avoided looking at Applejack. She pushed the window shade open. She saw the grass and the pavement go by as the plane moved to the takeoff runway.

It stopped suddenly. Rainbow Dash wrung her hands together, trying to keep her breathing in order. In and out. In and out.

Suddenly the plane moved. It thundered down the runway. The moved jerked Rainbow back. She tensed up and closed her eyes, waiting for it to be over. She suddenly felt a hand on hers, unclenching them from around her arm rests. Rainbow opened her eyes and turned her head to see Applejack looking at her with concern.

Applejack didn't say anything as she reached over and wrapped an arm around Rainbow's waist. Rainbow leaned on her.

"Here." Applejack said, reaching her other arm over, giving her the sleeve of her hoodie.

Rainbow looked up at her.

"You sure??."

"Yeah. It's fine, Rainbow." Applejack said. "Go on."

Rainbow took hold of the sleeve. She played with it, feeling a lot better. She they felt the plane lift off the ground. Rainbow looked out the window to see the ground getting further away. In less than a minute, they were up in the clouds, flying over the city.

Rainbow's worry turned to awe.

"Ooooh."

She looked at Applejack, smiling.

"This is so cool. You can see the whole city."

Applejack watched her girlfriend, her eyes sparkling with adoration. She hummed in content.

"Ladies."

The two turned their heads to see the male flight attendant standing there with their food.

"Your food."

Rainbow and Applejack pulled out their food trays from one of their openable arm rests. The flight attendant placed their food on the trays. A delicious smell hit them both as their food was placed right in front of them. They looked down to see macaroni with white cheese. Chunks of lobster meat were mixed in. It smelled a little funny but it looked amazing.

Rainbow smiled in delight. She unrolled her napkin and took the napkin and placed it on her lap. She grabbed a fork and stabbed a piece of lobster.

"Geez, Rainbow." Applejack said, bewilderment and slight fear in her eyes. "It's already dead. What did it ever do ya you??."

Rainbow gave a small smile. She shoveled a forkful of food into her mouth.

She chewed and made a small moan. It was so good.

"This is amazing."

Applejack tried it herself. Rainbow was right. It was the perfect combination. Applejack thought the lobster was awesome.

"It is." She agreed

Suddenly everything started to shake. Rainbow looked at her glass, putting her fork down. The soda she had was sloshing around. Rainbow felt everything moving.

"Applejack." She said, hint or fear in her voice. "What's going on?."

"Just wind turbulence." Applejack reassured, taking her hand. "It's okay, baby."

They looked around as everything trembled. They tried to eat but the shaking caused them to shake and their drinks to nearly spill. Rainbow just sat still, basically paralyzed with fear, her eyes looking around. Applejack had noticed her strange behavior and took action. She wrapped a protective arm around Rainbow's waist, pulling her close. She held Rainbow's hand, rubbing small circles on the back of her hand.

"We're okay, baby. Everything is fine. Ah promise. It's okay."

Rainbow rested her head on Applejack, grateful to have her there. She felt so much better. Rainbow felt the panic leave.

After about fifteen minutes, the shaking stopped. Rainbow sighed in relief and relaxed. Applejack kissed her on the cheek.

"Are you alright, baby??."

Rainbow let go of Applejack's arm and leaned back in her chair with a dismissing wave.

"Yeah. Totally fine. That wasn't so bad."

Applejack smiled. "Let's try ta eat now."

Rainbow looked at her food and smiled.

"Oh yeah."

The two ate their meal, drinking soda as well. Once finished, their trays were cleared off.

Rainbow took out her book. She loosened the seatbelt a little and curled up in her seat. Rainbow Dash opened the book to the page she had bookmarked. She noticed Applejack turn off her light. Rainbow looked around to see that she was the only one with her light, other than the area where the flight attendants were.

Rainbow looked down at the book and began to lose herself in the story.

Rainbow got about four chapters further before she deeply yawned. Rainbow looked up from the book and blinked. Her eyes felt heavy and she could barely keep them open. Rainbow put in her bookmark and put the book in a little pocket thing in front of her. Rainbow looked over at Applejack who was surprisingly still awake, staring out the window, her earbuds in.

Rainbow pulled out her own phone and earbuds. She put in her earbuds and looked around for anything to use as pillow.

"Baby."

Rainbow turned her head to look at Applejack. Applejack was looking at her.

"Go ta sleep, babe." She said gently. "It's nearly midnight. We got like another hour."

Rainbow yawned and nodded. Applejack reached down and pulled a small blanket from Rainbow's blanket.

"Here."

Rainbow smiled. She took it and wrapped herself in it. It was fuzzy and soft. Just perfect for a chilly plane ride. Applejack shifted over. She let Rainbow lean her head on her arm and hold on to it.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash turned on their own music from their phones and relaxed. Both girls feel asleep, peacefully and without a single worry.
