Rainbow sighed contently. She felt Applejack's fingers running through her hair softly.

This was the life.

It had been weeks since Rainbow was found and rescued. She had gain back her strength and health. Applejack had been overprotective of her during her recovery, not letting her out of her sight for too long or walk long distances by herself. But Rainbow didn't mind it at all.

But now she was all better and things were back to normal.

Right now the tv was on, a movie playing. Rainbow and Applejack were snuggled together in front of the tv, celebrating their anniversary. Applejack claimed that since Rainbow wasn't the real Rainbow on their anniversary, Applejack said that they would celebrate it that day to make up for it.

They went out for a movie, then for dinner, then went to get ice cream and were now back at home. Applejack paid for it all. Rainbow had protested but Applejack did anyway. She all of the sudden had money to burn.

Rainbow turned her head and looked out the window.

The night was calling her.

Rainbow got up.

"I'm going outside", she said, getting her shoes.

"Where ya goin??", Applejack asked, sitting up, a raised eyebrow on her face.

Rainbow looked at her.

"The meadow".

She didn't wait for a reply and headed out of the room. She heard Applejack calling her name but she waved it off.

"I won't be long", she called over her shoulder.

With that, she left.

Rainbow looked up at the stars, sitting in the middle of the meadow. A gentle breeze from the east blew by. Her eyes were trained on the sky.

Rainbow decided that tonight was a good night to watch the stars and daydream about stuff. She smiled, watching them twinkle brightly like gems.

"Hey".

Rainbow looked behind her. She smiled when she saw Applejack walking over to her.

Applejack sat down beside her.

"Ah've been lookin everywhere fir you. Ya just walked out".

She placed a hand on her hip.

"What are you doin out here anyway??".

Rainbow shrugged. "Stargazing", she replied.

Applejack smirked. "You stargaze?".

Rainbow glared at her although there was no effort in it.

"Yeah. Don't you dare tell anyone".

Applejack laughed. Typical Rainbow.

"Ah won't. Can ah stay here with you then??. We can be on a random date".

Rainbow giggled and nodded. Applejack sat down beside her on the grass, wrapping an arm around her waist. Rainbow laid her head on Applejack's shoulder. The two sat in comfortable silence, just watching the night sky.

Rainbow sighed.

"Have you ever wondered if there's another world out there??".

Applejack looked at her. Rainbow grinned.

"I mean. What if there's people from an alternate universe doing the exact thing we're doing??. Stargazing".

Applejack giggled. "You have a big imagination".

Rainbow stood up. "Yes I do. Ya got that right, Apples".

Applejack rolled her eyes at her old nickname. She got up. Rainbow took her hand and pulled her along. Applejack let her lead her down the field.

The two walked side by side.

Rainbow started humming a familiar song. Applejack smiled as she listened. Suddenly Rainbow started to dance. She took Applejack's hands. Applejack spun her around.

The two danced around in the moonlight, humming and singing.

The women laughed. Applejack wrapped her arms around Rainbow's waist. Rainbow looked up at her.

Applejack sighed in content.

"Ah love you so much".

Rainbow grinned. "I love you too".

"Ah wanna show ya somethin", Applejack said.

She led a curious Rainbow down the meadow. They walked along the pond. Rainbow glanced at the water. She gasped quietly. She stopped, pulling on Applejack's arm.

Applejack stopped walking and turned to her.

"Yeah??".

Rainbow pointed at the pond. Applejack looked. She smiled. There were two swans floating around. The women stood there for a moment, watching them swim peacefully.

"C'mon", Applejack said. "Ah still gotta show you this".

Rainbow looked at her.

"What??".

Applejack pulled her along. Rainbow was now extremely curious as to what Applejack had to show her.

Applejack led her away from the pond. They came to a shrub wall. Rainbow looked down. She saw a small crawl space near the ground. Rainbow gave Applejack a look that said 'I don't get it'.

Applejack motioned her head towards the wall of shrubs.

"Ta get in ya have ta crawl through there".

A look of realization crossed Rainbow's face.

"Ohhh".

Rainbow walked over to the wall and got down on her hands and knees. She crawled through the opening. It was dark for a moment but then they got to the other side.

Crawling out of the hole, Rainbow looked up. Her mouth fell open.

"Wow".

She slowly rose to her feet. Wow indeed.

It was a secret garden. There was a huge pretty oak tree in the middle. Rainbow looked around. She saw flowers of every color all around. Suddenly a light flashes in Rainbow's face. She gasped in surprise and backed up.

She relaxed. It was just a firefly.

Rainbow smiled and looked around. She saw a multitude of fireflies flying around, their lights blinking. It was like stars on earth and that made it even prettier.

Rainbow looked around in awe. It was all so amazing. Like nothing she had ever seen before.

"This is so.......".

Rainbow tried to find a word for it.

"Magical??", Applejack finished.

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah and I know this is kinda cheesy, but it's also sorta romantic".

Applejack chuckled. "Um..... Rainbow??. There's something ah need ta tell you".

Rainbow looked at her, eye shining with wonder and curiosity. Applejack smiled and took her hands.

Rainbow's full attention was now on her. Applejack took a deep breath.

"Okay. So listen. We've been together fir six years. B'fore our six year anniversary you were taken from me".

Rainbow nodded. Applejack gently ran a comforting hand over her arm.
Applejack looked at the ground.

"And on our "wedding day" ". She used her hands for the quotations before taking Rainbow's hands again.

"And found out that you wasn't really you. Fir months on end ah felt like there was something wrong. Whenever ah looked at you, ah didn't feel the butterflies like ah do now. Ah didn't feel the rush of electricity whenever we held touched or when we touched at all like ah feel right know".

Rainbow smiled. "You do??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. But now when Crystal was pretendin ta be you. Ah didn't feel those things and ah knew somethin' was wrong. It all finally came tagether at the wedding and ah was willin ta do everythin ah could ta get ta you".

For a moment Applejack was at a lose for words as she tried to get out what she wanted to say to Rainbow. She sighed.

"Ah honestly thought you were already dead at some moments on our journey to the castle. Ah had doubts that you were still alive but ah kept goin anyway".

Applejack gently brushed a strand of hair out of Rainbow's face and grazed her cheek.

"Ah had ta find you. No matter what. Ah remember wishin' on a star that night. You know what ah wished fir??".

Rainbow shook her head. Applejack smiled sadly.

"Ah wished that even if you were gonna die anyway, ah wished ta ah would be able ta see you and talked to you again, maybe even hold you one last time".

Applejack blinked back tears.

"That's what ah wished fir".

Rainbow smiled. She kissed her cheek.

"That must've been a real wishing star. Did you do the star light star bright rhyme??".

Applejack nodded.

"That always works", Rainbow said. "You could've wished for anything yet you wished ta see me again even if I was gonna die anyway".

Rainbow's smile fell.

"You even battled Crystal", she said. "Pinkie and Twilight told me everything. You risked your life for me even when it was possibly too late anyway. Why??".

Applejack chuckled. "Ah love you more than anyone else in the entire universe. Rainbow. Ah know this sounds very corny but.....".

Applejack she looked down at their joined hands then back up to look Rainbow in the eye.

"Ah need you".

Rainbow felt her heart flutter at the words.

"Ah mean it", Applejack continued. "Ah need you around. Ah need ta wake up every mornin' to you, ah need ta hear yir voice, yir laugh, giggle, cackle, evil laugh, everythin".

Applejack held Rainbow's hands in her own.

"Ah need you in mah arms whenever ah want. Ah need ta hold yir hand".

Applejack shrugged.

"Ah just need around, Rainbow. Ah really do".

Rainbow grinned a little at her words.
"And ah would do anythin' ta make sure that you stay here by mah side".

She sighed. "It ain't fair that the first time round it wasn't really you. Ah talked about chur mom and yir dad".

"What did you say about my mom??".

Applejack laughed to herself.

"Ah said that if she was here she'd be so proud of ya. Yir father would probably say that he hates you".

Rainbow sighed. "Yeah".

Rainbow looked at her hands. Applejack didn't plan on talking about the devil for long. Just to mention him. She smiled. "But he don't see what ah see in you. He only saw bad things. Ah see the good thinhs. You're beautiful. Smart. Talented. Adventurous. Fun. Excitin'. Lovin'. Sweet. A little annoyin' at time but truth be told ah don't mind it".

Rainbow giggled. Applejack shrugged. "Ah love who ya are as a person. Even though ah know you were diagnosed with depression".

Rainbow nodded, not making eye contact with her.

"But ah still wanna be with you through it all. Ah wanna be able ta be there ta make you smile and laugh. It's amazin how you can still do that on yir own even though yir depression can get extremely bad at times. You're strong".

"Thanks, Applejack. It means alot that you think that".

Rainbow giggled.

"I think I can guess where this is going, but I don't know if I'm right or if I wanna believe it's happening", she said.

Applejack suddenly looked over Rainbow's shoulder. She smirked.

"Look".

Rainbow frowned and turned around to see. She saw a bird fluttering there. Rainbow didn't see that coming. The bird was holding a small bag. The kind you see at weddings or baby showers on the table with little candy or mints inside.

Rainbow held her hand out. The bird dropped the bag into her hand and flew away. Rainbow smiled and looked at the small bag. She opened it and took out a necklace.

Her mouth fell open. It was a gold chain with her birthstone on it. It was the exact one her mom gave to her when she was little. Rainbow thought she'd lost it forever.

Rainbow held it up, smiling.

"I lost this. Oh my celestia, Applejack".

She put the necklace in the baggy and closed it. She was at a lose for words.

"This is the greatest gift you could've ever given me".

She turned around.

"Where did you-".

Rainbow's eyes widened. Her mouth fell open a little.

Applejack was one knee, grinning up at her with a black ring box in her hand.

"Rainbow Eden Dash. We've been best friends fir three years, we were girlfriends fir six years, now ah want cha ta be mah wife fir the rest of our lives".

She smiled. "Will you marry me??".

Rainbow's took a step back, her hands covering her mouth. She stood there for a minute, in shock.

"Are you for real??".

Applejack nodded. She stood up.

"See fir yirself".

Applejack handed her the ring box. Rainbow opened it. She gasped. Inside was the most beautiful gold ring she had ever seen.

"Woah".

She stared at the ring for a moment. She looked up at Applejack, smiling brightly. She had no doubt in her mind what her answer would be.

"Yes".

Applejack took the ring and slipped it onto Rainbow's left hand. Rainbow wrapped her arms around Applejack's neck. She leaned up and kissed her. Applejack kissed back, wrapping her arms around her waist. Applejack was surprised when Rainbow leaned in further, causing her to take a step back. Rainbow was a strong woman after all.

Applejack picked her up.

The two women parted, smiling at eachother. Rainbow laughed.

"You're unbelievable".

Applejack lowered her back down to her feet. Her smile fell.

"Ah just have one question", she said eyeing Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow gave her a confused look.
"Um okay".

"Are you gonna be waitin or walkin??".

Rainbow gave a weird look.

"Walking. Why?".

Applejack raised an eyebrow.

"Why do you choose walkin??".

Rainbow was surprised by her out of the blue questions.

"Because I promised my mom I would. I told you that".

Applejack smiled. She kissed her temple.

"What was that about??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack chuckled.

"Sorry RD. Ah was just makin' sure it was the real you. Only you would answer that correctly".

Rainbow giggled. "Can't blame you".

Rainbow looked down at her ring.

"Like it?", Applejack asked.

"Like it??", Rainbow said. "I love it!!. How did you afford this??".

Rainbow gasped. "This is a different ring. You bought another ring just for me??".

Applejack nodded. "Coarse ah did".

She shook her head. "Ah wasn't gonna give you the same ring ah gave to the one that nearly killed you and ruined mah life firever. Plus the old one was broken down and dirty. You deserve a better ring than what ah gave her".

Rainbow frowned. "You must've spent a fortune on these rings. Are you crazy??. Spending all this money on a ring??".

Applejack smirked. "Correction", she said. "A ring fir YOU. Ah'd spend all the money ah had fir you".

Rainbow blushed. "Well I don't know what to say. Thank you so much".

Applejack shrugged. "No problem".

Rainbow hugged her. Applejack wrapped her arms around her securely.

"I love you", Rainbow said.

Applejack chuckled. "Ah love you too. And ah promise that our wedd'n is gonna be way better than how it was with Crystal. We didn't even get ta the vows".

Rainbow giggled. "Hopefully we at least get to the honeymoon".

Applejack laughed. She pulled Rainbow close, their foreheads touching.

"Hopefully".

Rainbow blushed, looking away. She fiddled with her hands. She looked down at the ring. She smiled.

"I can't believe it. I never thought I'd ever get married".

Applejack poked her stomach. Rainbow giggled and moved away. Applejack smirked and poked her again. She wrapped her arm around her, trapping her.

She tickled Rainbow while the younger woman struggled against her and wiggled.

"Stop", Rainbow laughed. "P-Please".

Rainbow cackled, her laugh echoing into the night. Applejack giggled.

"Who's the best??".

"Not this again!!", Rainbow cried. "You!!".

Applejack laughed. "Exactly and don't forget it".

Applejack stopped her assault on Rainbow and let her breathe. Rainbow laughed for a little while, wrapping her arms around herself.

"You're still evil".

Applejack giggled. "Yeah. But you love me anyway".

Rainbow rolled her eyes. "Suuure I do".

Applejack laughed. "That ring on yir finger says otherwise".

Rainbow laughed. She looked at said ring.

"I can't wait for the wedding".

Applejack wrapped her arms around her.

"Me neither. Soon ah'll be Mrs.Dash".

Rainbow liked the sound of that. Mrs.Dash.

"Ah think it's about time we have some more Dashes in the world since yir parents ain't here anymore".

Rainbow nodded slowly. She looked up at the sky. She noticed two very bright stars in the sky.

"I see my mom's star".

Applejack raised an eyebrow. She looked up and smiled. She saw the stars too. She looked at Rainbow. She saw Rainbow start to tear up.

"When I was little me and her picked our stars. Those are ours".

Rainbow's eyes flew back to earth.

"She always loved the idea of me getting married. I wish was here to see me now".

Applejack kissed her cheek.

"Well you never know. A little magic could go a long way".

Rainbow sighed. "It's gonna be weird not having any of my family there. Kinda embarrassing not having a family around. Heh. Maybe I'll cry".

Applejack frowned. "You're not allowed ta cry at the weddin", she said, pointing a finger at Rainbow. "Trust me. You're gonna have family there. You will".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean??. Literally??".

Applejack shrugged and looked away, smirking.

"You'll see".
