The Everfree forrest. The most spookiest and darkest place in Equestria.

Nobody dares to go in there unless they never want to come out alive. Truth be told, it's possibly the most feared place in Equestria to go.

Applejack looked around. She gripped her backpack strap as her eyes glanced around. Shadows everywhere she looked. The cold winter air nipped at her face. She remembered the first time her and the others had gone into the Everfree forrest when they were teens. She hoped it wouldnt be as dangerous. She bit her lip.

"Ya'll ready??", she asked.

Applejack turned and faced her friends. The women, and Spike, nodded. Each had a backpack and the proper warm clothing and boots and gloves. They were dressed ready for this.

"It's been a long time since we went into this forrest", Twilight said. "But we're still young and capable. Athletic in Applejack and Rainbow's case. That woman can do sports, dance, obsticle courses in a snap and be a gymnast".

Applejack smiled at the thought. Rainbow was pretty athletic. Applejack remembered a time when she saw Rainbow doing ballet. She was amazing. Of course Rainbow threatened told her not to tell anyone or else she'd do something to Applejack. It was an empty threat but still. She was something else.

Applejack sighed. She looked at the humongous forrest.

"We better get a move on", she said. "Before it gets dark".

The group started off into the forrest.

"I simply cannot get use to all this cold weather", Rarity said, moving a huge leaf out of her face. Snow fell off of it, creating a small pile on the ground.

Applejack rolled her eyes. Even after all these years, Rarity was not use to getting in these sort of environments. What a princess.

"C'mon, Rare", Applejack said. "Stop complaining. Ah'm sure Rainbow is doin' alot worse".

Rarity sighed. "I know. I'm sorry".

"It's okay", Fluttershy said. "I don't like being here either".

She looked around in fear.

"It's dark...... and spooky...... and full of creepy crawlies. M-Maybe monsters".

"Fluttershy", Applejack said. "Are you serious??. You're 23 years old an you're still scared of shadows??".

"Y-Yeah", Fluttershy stuttered with a nod. She held on to Pinkie Pie.

Spike laughed. "At least Rainbow's not here. She'd dissappear and pop out of nowhere to scare us on purpose or tell us a scary legend that'll give Fluttershy nightmares".

The girls smiled.

"Yeah", Twilight said. "But then again, it'd make this alot less serious and dark. Maybe even a little humorous".

Applejack couldn't agree more. Rainbow always kept them on their toes when they were on adventures. Especially Applejack. She never knew what Rainbow would do to try and turn anything into a fun prank.

Applejack laughed. "Yeah. She sure is somethin".

"Hey", Pinkie said. "The sun's almost down".

They stopped. She was right. It getting dark. The thickness of the forrest made it even darker than it was.

Applejack looked around.

"Hm. We should rest fir the night", she said.

"Good idea", Rarity said, leaning against a tree, obviously exhausted. "I'm tired. How long have we been in here??".

Twilight looked at her watch.

"Three hours, give or take".

The girls searched for a place to rest. Fluttershy found a cave not that far away. A bear family lived there. Bears in Everfree didn't hybernate. After a frightful encounter, a quick chat between Fluttershy and the bears, Fluttershy explained to her friends,

"They said we can spend the night with them. Just gotta keep our distance. They'll protect us from predators too".

Twilight smiled.

"Nice job, Fluttershy. What would we do without you??".

Fluttershy blushed. The girls settled down in the bear cave. They had their snack and something to drink. After their meal, the girls stayed up for a little planning what they would do when they found Rainbow Dash.

"If she's in a dungeon, we'll have to break her out if she's locked in", Twilight said. "Rarity and I can easily use our magic for that. Pinkie, if there's anyone or anything that might be guarding her cell, you and Spike will be in charge of creating a diversion. Got it??".

Pinkie nodded, a bright smile on her face. Spike was really hesitant about that plan.

"What if we die??", he asked.

"You won't", Applejack said. "Since when have ever come close to dyin' in these situations??".

Spike looked at her, a serious look on his face.

"Um.... all the time??".

Applejack rolled her eyes. "You won't die. Trust me. But let's not talk about death. Ah don't wanna think about Rainbow".

Applejack brought her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on her knees.

The smiles fell. They all looked at Applejack, knowing exactly what she was talking about.

Fluttershy crawled over to her, she wrapped an arm around her.

"We'll figure something out", she said. "We always do. I just hope Rainbow is alright".

"Me too", Applejack said. "Ah miss her".

Applejack lifted her head.

"How did we not notice??", she asked. "Rainbow has been gone fir months. Ah proposed ta her in March. It's nearly December".

"I don't know, Applejack", Twilight said. "She was so different. I just thought she was going back being her teenage self again".

It was silent for a moment.

Pinkie yawned.

"Let's get some sleep", Applejack said.

"Yeah", Twilight agreed, pulling her backpack closer to use for a pillow.

"We should reach the castle by noon tomorrow. I just hope we won't be too late".

Soon enough all except Applejack were asleep. Applejack stayed awake, staring at her ring. The gold band glimmered in the moonlight, the diamonds shone like stars in the light of the moon.

She then remembered the other ring.
Applejack reached into her pocket and fished out the other ring that was meant fir Rainbow Dash. Holding it up, she smiled. She hoped that she would be able to give it to Rainbow Dash.

Applejack turned her head. She looked out at the heavy trees. She focused her eyes, looking for any piece of sky. She spot a spot of dark blue. Applejack saw the sky and the stars. She looked at the brightest star of the bunch, which was the first star she spotted right away. She whispered the famous wishing rhyme.

"Star light, star bright, first star ah see tonight. Ah wish ah may, ah wish ah might. Have this wish ah wish tonight".

Applejack held the ring close to her chest. Applejack closed her eyes and quietly said her wish.

"Please let me find Rainbow Dash alive. If she has ta die, let me get ta hold and be able ta tell her how much ah love her b'fore that. That's all ah ask".

Applejack opened her eyes.

Applejack sighed. She slipped Rainbow's ring back into her pocket, making sure it wouldn't fall out. Applejack turned on her side. Laying her head on her backpack, the woman closed her eyes. She fell asleep, dreaming of when she and Rainbow would hopefully be reunited.

So yeah. Just little chill chapter. Not every chapter has to be full of action, am I right?.
