I've been planning this oneshot for this occasion. Again, thank you all so much. This has been a crazy year. So here is the moment you've all been waiting for!! oh yeah. If you haven't already noticed, this is only part one ;) Enjoy!!

Applejack looked at herself in the mirror. She adjusted her stetson hat a little. A red dress shirt, a black button-up jacket and skinny jeans with her boots. Perfect.

Applejack was excited. Then again, she was always excited when going on a date with her girlfriend. Today was a very important day for her and her girlfriend, Rainbow Dash's relationship. It was their anniversary. Six years to be exact.

Today planned a special night for the occasion. The girls helped her put this together. The two would be going out to dinner and then out to the park. Applejack was nervous.

"Don't be nervous, AJ", she told herself. "Everythin' will be okay. It's just like every other date you've gone on so there's nothin' ta fear".

She gave one look at herself and put her hands in her vest pockets.

Applejack nodded. She could do this.

She headed out of their shared bedroom and went downstairs. Walking down the stairs, Rainbow came into view. Applejack couldn't believe it. She was stunning.

Rainbow had on a red, one shouldered, knee-length dress. Her hair was done up a little. She was beautiful.

"Rainbow", Applejack called.

Rainbow looked at her and froze. Her mouth fell open. Applejack mentally laughed at her face.

Rainbow stood up, her mouth hanging open. Applejack stopped at the bottom. She saw Rainbow's face and smirked. She striked a pose.

"Like what cha see??".

Rainbow slowly nodded. "Wow.........".

Applejack looked at her. Her eyes widened.

"Wow".

Rainbow looked down at her clothes. She snapped out of her daze. She smiled.

"Oh this", she said, looking at her dress. "Rarity told me to wear this. I love it. Maybe I should wear dresses more often".

Applejack smiled and walked up to Rainbow. She took her hands.

"You look beautiful".

Rainbow, of course not being use to being called beautiful, blushed red.

"Well you look beautifuller".

She stopped herself.

"Wait that's not a word. I mean more beautiful".

Rainbow laughed nervously. She suddenly panicked.

"You don't look fuller. Because that would be calling you fat and you're not fat. Not at all. I just meant that you look very very pretty- no beautiful".

Rainbow was obviously confusing herself. Applejack just watched her ramble on.

"You're absolutely gorgeous in that outfit and stuff".

Rainbow laughed nervously. Her face fell. She went back into panic mode.

"I mean you look gorgeous every other at too. I mean you look like that all the time. N-Not that I stare at you all the time. That'd be creepy. But you know I'm weird and a creep. Wait no!!. I'm not a creep. You know that!!. I just mean that um.......".

Applejack smiled. "Thanks. You look amazing too".

Applejack pecked her lips.

"Don't worry, babe. Ah know what cha meant. Calm down, okay??".

Rainbow exhaled. She smiled.

"Alright. I'm good".

Applejack smiled.

"Let's go have some dinner. Ah'm hungry".

"That was great".

Applejack nodded in agreement.

"Totally. Ah told you they had great pasta".

Rainbow looked at her. The two walked through the parking lot to Applejack's car.

"And their garlic bread was awesoooome".

Rainbow patted her stomach.

"I could eat those for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then some more for a snack".

Applejack giggled and gently nudged her shoulder.

"That ain't a good idea and you know it, RD".

Rainbow shrugged. "Yeah. You're probably right".

Applejack gave her a look.

"Rainbow. Since when do you admit ah'm right??".

Rainbow stopped and looked at her.

"Um I don't know. You are right".

Applejack unlocked the car and the two climbed in.

"So where we going??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack smiled. "Ah was thinkin' a stroll in the park would be nice fir a change".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow.

"The park??. At night??. What if we die??".

Applejack rolled her eyes. Always so melodramatic.

"Rainbow", she said. "We're not gonna die. Trust me. If a Nadine tries to take us, there more than one of us".

Rainbow shrugged. "Well sorry for not wanting to have a stroll at night. Who knows what kind of crazy things are lurking at night or the monsters that'll eat us up".

"Since when are you afraid of danger??", Applejack asked with a raised eyebrow

Rainbow shrugged. "Just thinking of all the bad stuff that might happen".

Applejack was weirded out. Today was an off day for Rainbow Dash. Weird.

The driver there was quiet. The women barely spoke the whole way there. As they drove down the street, Rainbow was quiet and fiddling nervously. Applejack noticed every so often but thought nothing of it. Just nervous about the date. Perfectly normal.

"OH SHIT!!".

Applejack jumped. She stopped at a red light. She turned her head and looked at Rainbow Dash.

"What?", she asked, expecting to Rainbow to tell her something urgent or life threatening.

Rainbow had a panicked look on her face. She also seemed to be thinking.

"Rainbow".

Rainbow looked at her.

"So that's why today is important", she said in realization. "I didn't forget. I just wasn't sure if I said anything to you".

Rainbow leaned over and kissed Applejack's freckled cheek.

"Happy Anniversary".

Applejack laughed. She sat there for a good half minute, having a good laugh. When she was gone, she looked at Rainbow Dash.

"Ya freaked out because you remembered that you didn't say happy Anniversary??".

Rainbow blushed.

Applejack smiled, shaking her head. She focused on the road as the light turned green.

"This is why ah love you", she said. "You're random. Ah love you".

"Love you too", Rainbow said. "Alot".

Finally they arrived at the park. Applejack parked the car.

"Ready??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yup".

They got out. They met up. Applejack took Rainbow's hand. Rainbow giggled.

"You're holding my haaaand", she said, blushing.

Applejack smirked. Works every time.
"C'mon. Follow me".

The two headed off down the pavement. It was quiet between the two. Rainbow hummed to herself, looking around.

"This is nice", she said. "Even though you're twenty-three and I'm twenty-two, I still enjoy these dates".

Applejack smiled at her. "Me too. But it's our anniversary so it'll be much more excitin', don't cha think??".

Rainbow nodded. "Absolutely".

Suddenly something caught her attention.

"I see lights, AJ", Rainbow said, pointing at something.

Applejack looked over to where Rainbow was pointing.

"Hm. Me too".

Rainbow looked at her, beaming with excitement.

"Let's go check it out".

Before Applejack could say anything, the other woman dragged her towards the lights. As they got closer, they saw a lake and a bridge. The two slowed down to a stop.

"Woah", Rainbow said in awe.

There were lights everywhere. On the bridge and the on the ground, making a path, lanterns on the trees.

It was beautiful.

Rainbow and Applejack walked over to the bridge. Applejack looked at Rainbow.

"Pretty, huh??".

Rainbow nodded. "Yeah. I love it!!".

Rainbow tugged on Applejack's arm to keep going. The two walked onto the bridge. The stopped at the peak. Rainbow looked over the side at the lake below. She gasped.

"Swans".

Applejack looked at the water. Rainbow was leaning against the bridge side, looking at two swans that we're swimming peacefully below.

Applejack smiled.

"Wow. Never in a million years would ah have guessed we'd actually see swans while on a date".

Rainbow's glanced up. She gasped as she caught sight of the moon. She pointed at the glowing rock in the sky.

"Look at the moon", she said quietly.

Applejack looked up. She smiled.

"Wow. It's so beautiful".

Rainbow leaned on Applejack. The took stared up at the moon.

"I feel like I'm in a movie", Rainbow said.

Applejack laughed. "Me too. C'mon".

Applejack guided Rainbow off the bridge and down the path. The two women looked around at the lights on the trees. It seemed like something out of a story or a movie. Perfect.

The path of lights led them to a meadow. Rainbow didn't hesitate to walk out to the field of flowers. She smiled and looked around.

"This place......".

Blinking lights floated through the air. The two women looked around.

"Fireflies", Applejack said.

Rainbow suddenly let go of her hand. Applejack looked at her. Rainbow ran off, chasing the fireflies. Applejack crossed her arms, a soft smile on her face. She watched Rainbow as she caught a few fireflies, giggling and just having so much fun. After a few minutes, Applejack decided to join her.

The two ran around, catching fireflies. They met up.

The two looked at eachother's glowing hands. They giggled.

"This is fun", Rainbow said. "My kind of date".

Applejack looked at her hands.

"Let's let em go", she said.

Rainbow nodded.

"On three. One, two, three".

They opened their hands and gently shook them. The fireflies flew off into the air. They twinkled like stars.

Rainbow smiled. She walked up to Applejack.

"This was amazing", she said. "Did you plan any of this??".

Applejack smiled shyly, her hands behind her back.

"Ah can't lie. Ah did".

Rainbow was shocked.

"Really??. You did??. That's so sweet of you".

Rainbow gave her a kiss on the cheek. Applejack wrapped her arms around her waist, pulling her close.

"Rainbow", Applejack said. "We've been together fir six years. They've been the most excitin' and more interestin' years of mah life. We've had ups and downs, of course. But we got past em. We had our bad moments and our great moments. Ah remember when we first met".

Applejack giggled. "You were the most annoyin' person ah ever met and ah wanted ta kill you".

Rainbow giggled. "I remember you giving me an evil look whenever ah messed with ya. I remember the first thought that came to my mind when I first met you was omg if I was straight before which I'm not, I'm definitely not straight anymore if she's not".

Applejack laughed.

"You're too much".

Rainbow shrugged. "You know you love me".

Applejack poked her nose gently.

"Yeah. Ah do love you. Very much. Now let me do all the talkin'. Ah gotta ask ya somethin".

Rainbow had a confused look on her face. Applejack sighed, taking her hands.

"Rainbow Eden Dash. You've been a pain in mah neck since the day we met. But that's why ah fell fir ya. You were annoyin', loud, a great prankster, very concedes but you had a good heart".

Applejack's smile fell. "Ah know about chur past as a child. How yir dad treated cha all those years".

Rainbow looked at her shoes. She nodded.

"But", Applejack said. "You got through it. You survived hell and learned a lot from yir experience. You're compassionate and lovin' and givin' and your mom would be so proud if she were still here. Your dad didn't see what he lost by hutin' you so badly. He lost the best thing this world has ta offer. You".

Rainbow looked up at her. She looked like she was gonna cry.

"You're great", Applejack said. "You're mah little sporty, book lovin', annoyin, loud, brave, lazy, beautiful girl and ah love yiu with all mah heart".

"I love you too", Rainbow said. "And I mean it. Ah wouldn't wanna be with anyone else but you. My smart and brave cowgirl".

Rainbow laughed.

"Heck. If you proposed to me now, I'd say yes in a heartbeat after having a complete fangirl moment".

Rainbow turned and looked around at the setting.

"I mean", she said with a smile. "Look how amazing everything is. It's all so magical and romantic and I love romance. But I feel like I'm in a movie".

Rainbow looked up at the full moon. It lit up the night sky along with the stars.

"That'd be funny if you did propose to me. Although it's kinda my job. I don't mean to be stereotypical or whatever that word is, but I'm kinda more boyish than you so in a way that kinda makes me the man in this relationship. Although I also hate roles when it comes to this stuff. I don't even know what I'm talking about".

Rainbow giggled. "But still. I'd like to marry you someday. You know??. We've been together for a long time as a couple and if you do propose, I'd say yes so there won't be a problem there".

Rainbow suddenly laughed.

"I can imagine it now. You get on one knee and say all that stuff you said a minute ago and go, 'Rainbow Eden Dash. Will you make me the happiest woman in the world and blah blah blah'".

Rainbow shrugged. She stood there for a moment. Then she gushed.

"That'd be so cute!!", she fangirled. "I love proposals. Especially the romantic kind. If I ever proposed to you, It'd be like that".

"Too late fir that", Applejack said.

Rainbow frowned. "Why??".

She turned around. Her eyes widened. There was Applejack, on one knee, a ring box in her hand and a stupid smile on her face.

"Rainbow Eden Dash. Will you do me the honor of makin' me the happiest person alive??. Will you marry me??".

Rainbow's hands flew to her mouth.

"You're joking".

Applejack shook her head. "Nope. Totally serious right now. Ah don't lie".

Rainbow took a step back. She was in shock.

"This isn't happening. You're messing with me. Are you serious??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Ah'm serious RD. What do you say??".

Rainbow stared at the ring. She looked at Applejack. She nodded, tears in her eyes.

"Yes!!".

Applejack stood up. Taking the ring out of the box she put the box away, taking Rainbow's left hand. She slipped the ring on her finger.

Applejack hugged Rainbow Dash. Rainbow wrapped her arms around Applejack's neck. Applejack pulled her in for a kiss. She gave her a sweet and soft kiss. Rainbow pulled away.

She looked at her ring.

"Wow. Diamonds. This must've cost you a fortune".

Applejack shrugged. "Maybe. But you're worth it".

Rainbow looked at Applejack.

"You took me completely by surprise. Didn't see it coming at all".

Rainbow giggled. "Tonight was amazing. I can't wait to tell the girls".

Applejack smirked. "Actually", she said. "They helped me put this together".

Rainbow's eyes widened in surprise.

"Really??".

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. They'll be happy ta know that chu said yes, Mrs.Smith".

Rainbow yay. I'm an Apple. It's way better than my last name".

Applejack frowned. "You don't like it??".

Rainbow shook her head. "Nah. Dash is so uncool. Smith is great".

Applejack thought it was strange. But whatever. Today was an off day.

Applejack smiled. "Ah like the sound of that. Rainbow Eden Smith".

Rainbow giggled. "Me too. I love you".

"Ah love you more", Applejack replied, touching her forehead to Rainbow's.

Rainbow smirked. "Oh really??".

Applejack held her around her waist. She stared into her eyes and smiled.

"Yup".

So as the title says, this is only part one. I'm making this a multi part story!!. I was gonna make it short and sweet but then I got a better idea. So tell me what you think. Thanks so much for the congrats on the 1 year anniversary of my Appledash oneshots and I'll be sure to update soon :)
