This was an old request but I haven't done it yet. So here it is. Also this might be triggering to some people since it's about depression so...... yeah

Rainbow stared out the window. She sighed quietly, leaning her head on the glass. She felt like crap. Just like every other day.

You see, Rainbow Dash had been battling with depression since she was 12. That was when her parents died. It took a tole on her. She didn't do anything all day. She just sat in her room and stared out the window or just laid in bed all day.

Rainbow felt arms wrap around her and lips on her cheek.

"Hi beautiful", Applejack said quietly.

Applejack was her girlfriend of two years. Somehow Rainbow was able to get a girl to notice her and they hung out and then Applejack asked her out and she said yes. Applejack was the only thing at the time keeping Rainbow from doing anything stupid.

"How you feelin??".

Rainbow shrugged. "The same. Bored. Stupid. Worthless. Sad".

Applejack frowned. She sat down beside her.

"Don't listen to those voices in your head. You're amazing and beautiful. Ah don't lie".

Rainbow looked at her hands. She slumped a little. She looked back out the window.

"Have ya eaten anythin today??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow shook her head. She was suddenly picked up. Applejack carried her downstairs to the kitchen. The blonde made some soup. She served them both.

"Here ya go", she said. She sat down beside Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow stared at the bowl of soup. She reached out and took the spoon. She stirred the soup quietly.

Applejack ate her soup quietly and patiently. She knew that Rainbow hadn't taken her depression medicine today. If she had, Rainbow would have at least tried to smile. But today she didn't even want to talk.

Suddenly Rainbow lifted the spoon to her mouth and slurped. She put the spoon back in the bowl and played with her sweater sleeve.

"It's good", she said quietly.

Applejack smiled and said, "that's a good start. Can ya eat the noodles??. Ah put the noodles ya like".

Rainbow looked at the bowl of soup. Reached out she sighed and sat up. She scooped the spoon. Fat noodles sat on the spoon. Her eyes widened a little in interest. She looked at Applejack who gave her an encouraging smile. The teen put the spoon in her mouth and ate the spoonful of noodles. It tasted awesome. Rainbow licked her lips.

It took about an hour for Rainbow to finish her soup. Applejack had to reheat it a few times. Rainbow couldn't help but feel bad. She apologized a few times.

"No need babe. Ah love you and Ah'd do anythin fir ya", she said with a bright smile.

When she finished they went upstairs to Rainbow's room. Rainbow's wordlessly returned to her seat on the windowsill and pulled her knees to her chest. Applejack frowned. If there was one thing she knew, it was that when Rainbow was by the window, she was thinking. Thinking made Rainbow upset and more sad than she already was. She didn't need to get worse.

Applejack walked over to her.

"Let's go watch a movie, okay??".

Rainbow shrugged and got up. Applejack took her hand and smiled as they walked out. Applejack let Rainbow pick out a funny movie. The blonde got Rainbow some candy. Her favorite. Chocolate. They made some popcorn and had juice. They sat down and turned the movie on.

As the movie went on Applejack would sneak glances over at Rainbow Dash. The girl was in her arms, her head on Applejack's shoulder.

There was a part in the movie that made Applejack burst out laughing. She suddenly stopped when she heard it. Turning her head, Applejack saw Rainbow's shoulders shaking. A giggle was coming from the girl. Applejack could listen to her laugh all day.

She kissed her head.

"Ah love your laugh. It's so cute".

Rainbow stopped and looked at her. A tiny smile graced her lips. It was tiny bit still a smile.

Applejack looked at the time. The movie soon ended. She got up and stretched.

"Well, time fir bed".

The girls cleaned up. They went upstairs to brush their teeth. The two went to bed. Applejack kissed Rainbow good night.

The next day was Saturday. Applejack woke up to see Rainbow asleep, dried tears on her face. It broke her heart. She reached out and touched the girl's cheek softly.

Rainbow stirred. Her eyes slowly opened. Tears suddenly filled her magenta hued eyes. The two sat up. Applejack held Rainbow in her arms while the girls cried.

"Why did I have to wake up??", she sobbed.

Applejack rubbed her back.

"It's not your time. Plus, you got ta woke up ta me. Ah love when ah get to wake up ta see your beautiful face".

Applejack smiled and kissed her head.
"Ah love you", she said.

Rainbow sniffled. "I love you too. I don't know what I did to deserve you".

Rainbow looked down at her hands and sniffled.

"It seems like the only thing I did right was say yes to going out with you. Everything else I do is wrong".

Applejack shook her head. "That ain't true. Cmon. Go on and take a bath".

Rainbow shook her head.

"Don't feel like it".

Applejack smiled. She got out of bed and picked Rainbow up. She carried the girl to the bathroom. Applejack wordlessly turned on the shower. She then undressed the younger girl. Her eyes stayed on Rainbow's face. She helped Rainbow take a shower.

At some point Rainbow had sat down in the shower and just sat there with her knees to her chest and her head down, arms around her legs.

Applejack heard a sniffled. The rainbow haired teen looked up but not at Applejack.

"I feel so useless. You have to constantly take care of me because I'm too pathetic to do anything".

Applejack shook herb head slowly.

"No baby. Ah want ta help you. It don't bother me at all. Promise. Ah love you and you could never be a burden ta me".

Applejack smiled. She wrapped her arms around Rainbow and hugged her. She was getting soaked but she couldn't care less. As long as Rainbow was okay, her clothes could get wet every day if that's what it took.

Rainbow got dressed and they brushed their teeth. The girls ate breakfast. Applejack made sure Rainbow took her medicine this time. She decided that Rainbow could use some sunlight and fresh air.

"Let's go to the meadow nearby".

Rainbow nodded. The girls left the house and walked to the meadow which wasn't that far away. Applejack smiled and looked at Rainbow Dash.

"It's beautiful out today".

Rainbow nodded. The girls sat down in the grass. For once Rainbow wasn't wearing a sweater. Her arms were exposed and so were the marks on her skin. She had scars on her arms.

She hadn't relapsed in a few months which Applejack made sure Rainbow knew she was proud of her. For going that long.

"Hey AJ??", Rainbow said.

Applejack looked at her. Rainbow pointed to a butterfly that was fluttering close by. The butterfly suddenly landed on Rainbow's hand. The girl smiled. She looked at the insect on her hand then at Applejack. She lifted her hand, making the butterfly fly off.

The teen smiled. She looked at the flowers. She gathered up some flowers. She weaved them into a crown. She made two crowns and gave one to Applejack. The blonde took her hat off and put the flowers crown on. 

"Thank you. It's beautiful".

Rainbow smiled a little at the compliment. She loved it when she made Applejack happy. Applejack held Rainbow in her arms. The girls got up. They walked around for a while.

As they walked Rainbow's smile dissappeared into a frown. Applejack took her arm self-consciously.

"What is it??".

She looked up at Applejack. She sighed.

"Do you really love me??", she asked.

Applejack laughed. "Of coarse ah do and don't listen if someone tells ya otherwise. Ah will always love you".

Rainbow Dash looked down at the ground. She felt a hand under her chin. Her head was lifted so she was looking at Applejack. The blonde teen smiled. She Lea ed in and kissed her lips. Rainbow kissed back shyly and pulled away.

She looked at Applejack.

"Thank you. For everything".

Applejack smiled. "No need but you're welcome".

Applejack wrapped tan arms around Rainbow's waist and hugged her. Rainbow hugged back.

"Ah love you", Applejack whispered.

Rainbow held onto her like a little koala. She nodded and bit her lip.

"I know. I love you too".

Applejack pulled away. She smiled down at her.

"Can ah tell you ah secret??".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow.

"Ah'm datin' the coolest, most amazin', strongest and beautiful gal in the universe".

Rainbow smiled. "Really??. She's lucky to have you as a girlfriend then. She probably wonders what she did right to get you".

Applejack held her close, their eyes looking at eachother.

"No", Applejack said smiling. "Ah'm the lucky one".
