Applejack had become good friends with Rainbow Dash over the next few weeks. The girls were not happy but kept calm. Applejack convinced them that Rainbow wouldn't hurt her. They didn't trust Rainbow Dash but the girls trusted Applejack so they left Rainbow alone.

Applejack was relieved. So she spent her time with them and Rainbow separately.

Applejack grabbed her tray and walked through the the cafeteria. She passed her friends who noticed. It seemed as though everyone stopped what they were doing a stared as she walked up to Rainbow Dash in the empty part of the cafeteria where she sat alone.

Applejack smiled and put her tray down, sitting beside her.

"Hey".

Rainbow smiled back. She suddenly frowned.

"Wait why are sitting with me??. Everyone is staring??".

Applejack shrugged. "Let em", she said.

Rainbow smiled. The two ate their lunch and talked. They ignored the looks and stares. Rainbow would just look at them, make her eyes glow and they would look away in fear.

"You enjoy doin that, don't cha??".

Rainbow nodded. "It's fun".

Applejack chuckled. "You're funny".

Rainbow raised an eyebrow. "Uh thanks??".

Applejack smiled. "You're welcome. So how's it been back home, if ya don't mind me askin".

Rainbow shrugged. "Eh. Stole some candy from a baby this morning".

Applejack's eyes widened. "I'm not even gunna ask".

Rainbow winked. "Good choice".

Applejack rolled her eyes. "So. You doin anythin' after school??. We can hang out".

Rainbow smirked. "Sure".

Suddenly she winced and rubbed her temple. Applejack frowned. "What's wrong??".

Rainbow sighed. "These stupid lights are too bright. Why is this school colorful and bright??".

Applejack looked up at the light. Stupid lights. She looked at Rainbow Dash who was covering her eyes. Applejack got up.

"Be right back".

Rainbow watched her leave. She played on her phone. Suddenly the light went off. She looked up and around. Her side of the cafeteria's lights were out. Applejack sat down.

"What did you do??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack simply shrugged. "Cut off the lights on this side. We have light on their side. Feels better??".

Rainbow gave her a weird look. "Why did you do that for me??".

Applejack smiled. "Cause you're mah friend".

Rainbow was shocked. "You think we're friends??", she asked.

Applejack nodded. "Yeah. Don't you??".

Rainbow thought for a moment. Did she??. Lookimg up at Applejack she saw the sincerity in her eyes.

"Yeah", she said quietly. "I do too".

Rainbow knew her powers weren't completely under control. But she had no idea just uncontrolled they were.

Rainbow slid out a book in her locker. She heard students around the hall talking and laughing.

"Hey freak!!".

Rainbow turned around. She saw a group of girls standing there. Rainbow made a fake hurt look on her face.

"How can you say that??. I'm not a freak".

She smirked and shrugged. "Just one of a kind".

One girl with white long hair walked up to her. Rainbow knew her a Trixie.
"So Rainbow Dash. Daughter of Nightmare Moon".

Rainbow placed a hand on her hip.

"The one and only".

Trixie laughed. She stared at her for a moment. Next thing Rainbow knew there were things being thrown at her.

"Hey!!", she exclaimed. She covered her face with her hands. "Stop it!!".

The girls laughed. Rainbow was getting annoyed. She put up a force field. The girls stopped throwing stuff.

Rainbow had enough of them. She shot a hand out and shot ray of dark magic at one. She couldn't stop herself because she was so angry. It hit Trixie, pushing her into the lockers. She hit her head and fell to the floor unconscious. The others stared at Rainbow in fear.

Rainbow realized what she had done. She looked down at her hand in fear then up at the girls.

"I-I didn't- I'm so sorry. I-".

"What's going on here??!".

Rainbow turned her head to see Applejack and her friends standing there. They saw Trixie on the floor and then looked at Rainbow Dash. The girls walked up to her.

Rainbow backed up. "Stay away!", she yelled. She held her hands out. Suddenly magic blasted out. Luckily the girls jumped out of the way before they were hit.

The 5 looked at Rainbow with wide eyes. Rainbow's breathing was ragged.

"Oh my god. I didn't mean to- I.......".

Rainbow slammed her locker closed. Dropping her stuff, the black and blue haired teen ran away. She ran through the halls, bumping into a few people. She apologized and kept running.

She ran out of the front entrance and outside. She looked both ways. She ran to the left. She headed straight to the park. That was her safe haven in this part of the world.

She noticed rain clouds over head. Just her luck. A lightening storm. Rainbow arrived. She ran over to the slide and sat down under it. She pulled her knees to her chest, trying to calm her breathing.

What was the matter with her??. She lost control for no reason. She was a failure at her best. Suddenly she saw it was raining. She scooted out and I'd to the rain. It calmed her down. Storms always did for some reason. She was soaked in minutes.

"What have I done??".

"Rainbow!!".

The girl looked up. Through the raindrops, she saw Applejack running towards her. Rainbow Dash quickly got up taking a step back.

Applejack stopped and stood a few feet in front of her.

"Rainbow. What happened back there??", She asked.

Rainbow folded her arms over her stomach.

"Please leave. I'm dangerous Applejack".

Applejack stayed right in her spot. Rainbow fell to her knees. She wrapped her arms around herself.

"Rainbow", Applejack said. She took a step closer.

"No. Don't come close to be. I might hurt you".

"You won't".

Rainbow let out a breath. "Yes I will. I hurt someone already. I might hurt you too. So just stay there".

Applejack didn't listen. She walked up to her. Rainbow curled away. She didn't want to look at Applejack.

"Rainbow. Please, look at me".

It was quiet for a bit. Rainbow finally looked at the blonde.

"Why would you think you'd hurt me??".

Rainbow looked her in the eye. "Applejack. I hurt someone".

Rainbow got up and turned her back.

"I hurt someone by accident by rage. I got angry and lashed out at Trixie. I........ I'm a monster".

Applejack got up. She marched up to the other girl as faced her.

"Rainbow Dash. You are not uh monster".

"YES I AM!!", Rainbow yelled. "I'M A MONSTER AND A HORRIBLE PERSON!!".

Rainbow was taking short breaths getting wild up.

"I hurt someone. I'm a terrible person", she whispered. "I'm just like my mom".

Applejack shook her head, her wet hair flying gently side to side. She took Rainbow's wrists in her hands.

"Look at me".

Rainbow bowed her head. She let out a shaky breath.

"Rainbow. Look. At. Me".

The sorceress looked up at her. Applejack saw the sadnesses, the loneliness, the grief, the hurt, the anger, the lostness, all in her deep red eyes.

Not one bit did Applejack see ANY form of evil or monster in her. The blonde felt the rain running down her skin but ignored it. They were soaked to the bone but Applejack just stared.

"You may be her daughter, but you are not chur mom".

Rainbow bowed her head. Her body shook. From either the cold or she was crying, Applejack wasn't sure. She pulled her in and hugged her.

Rainbow Dash hugged back. She felt herself crying. She had never cried before in her life. Never. So why did Applejack have this affect on her??.

Applejack held her, rubbing her back, whispering sweet nothing's to calm her.

"You're not evil or ah monster. You're not chur mom. You're Rainbow Dash. You're different".

Rainbow pulled away. "How do you know that??".

Applejack smiled a little. "Ah can see it your eyes. You don't have one bit of pure evil in em".

Rainbow looked up at the blonde. She looked into her deep green eyes. Applejack touched her shoulder. Slowly the two felt themselves leaning in.

Suddenly Rainbow felt pain shoot up her side.

"Ah!!".

Applejack caught her in her arms. She looked up to see the girls standing there.

"Oh c'mon!!".
