"NO!!".

Applejack shot up. The light dimmed down. Rainbow laid on the floor curled up in a ball, groaning. Applejack ran over to her. She knelt down.

"Are you alright??".

Rainbow Dash sat up, a hand on her side. She looked at her.

"Applejack. Are you alright??. Why did you do that??".

Her blood red eyes widened.

"Uh I mean. Are you crazy??. I can handle myself freckle face. I didn't need you getting in way".

Applejack knew the teen sorceress was just using the insult as a cover to try and push her away. She ignore the first sentence Rainbow Dash had said and looked up at her friends.

"What is wrong with you guys??".

Her friends gave her a look of astonishment.

"Us??!!", Pinkie yelled.

"We were doing our job and getting rid of her!!", Twilight exclaimed.

Rainbow stood up.

"Well you almost killed me and Applejack you idiots!!. I know you hate me but you could have kill her her too!!. Don't you even care if she's alright".

The girls stopped.

"Why do you care if she's alright??", Twilight asked.

Rainbow crossed her arms. "I-I don't. I just think that you guys are a bit too focused on me when you nearly killed your friend and you don't even care".

Rainbow shrugged. "Oh well. Well, I gotta go. My friends back home are probably worried about me".

The girls looked at her in surprise.

Rainbow rolled her eyes.

"Look. We may be evil and mean but we- wait. Why am I even explaining this to you. You hate me".

Rainbow Dash shook her head making her black and blue hair swish around.

"See ya tomorrow".

With that she flames engulfed her and she dissappeared. Applejack slowly stood up. She looked over at her friends.

"Ah gotta get home", she mumbled turning around.

"Applejack. Stop".

The blonde turned around.

"Why did you risk your life to try to save her??", Twilight asked crossing her arms. "She's evil".

Applejack rolled her eyes.

"So??. Ya'll don't know her like ah do. She's not as bad as ya think", she said and walked away.

Why had Rainbow Dash save her??. That girl was supposed to be evil and hate her. So why save her life??. Maybe. Just maybe......she wasn't as evil as everyone thought she was.

Applejack didn't expect her to do that. And she did not expect to see said girl sitting in the park field one rainy day.

It was after school and Applejack was free to do whatever. So she went for a walk. She walked past the park when she stopped. There She saw Rainbow Dash sitting underneath the slide, knees to her chest.

Applejack walked over to her. Her head was telling her to leave but her heart said the opposite.

Rainbow felt her presence and looked at her. She raised an eyebrow.

"What are you doing here??", she asked.

Applejack smiked. "Ah could ask you the same".

She noticed Rainbow didn't smirk or say any snarky comment. To be honest....... that worried her.

"Are you okay??".

Rainbow glared at her.

"Why do you wanna know??", she snapped.

Applejack sighed. "Because ah care".

Rainbow looked up at her in surprise. She snickered. "Yeah right".

Applejack didn't laugh. Rainbow Dash narrowed her eyes and eyed her.

"You do??".

Applejack nodded. "Ah don't lie and you know that".

Rainbow sighed. She relaxed a little. She looked down at her hands.

"I'm sorry", she said.

That took Applejack by surprise. That wasn't what she expected from the feared teen.

"Fir what??", she asked.

Rainbow rolled her eyes. "For losing control on you that day in school. I didn't mean-".

Rainbow turned away.

"You should go".

Applejack stood up. She walked away. But when Rainbow Dash wasn't looking she hid nearby and hoped she wouldn't be spotted.

She watched Rainbow Dash as her scary evil mask fell. The girl curled up on herself, her head in her knees.

Applejack frowned deeply. She had never seen Rainbow Dash upset before. Only mad or smirking or annoyed.

She decided to talk to her again.

Getting up she silently walked up to her. She heard a sniffle from the all powerful girl. That made her stop. Was she...... crying??.

"Rainbow??".

Rainbow's head snapped up, ready to blast whoever it was with her magic. She saw Applejack standing there.

"I told you to leave me", she said.

Applejack kneeled down, her eyes filled with concern.

"Well ah ain't leavin. Now, let it out. You can trust me. What's wrong??".

Rainbow crossed her arms.

"It's nothing so leave it".

Applejack rolled her eyes. "Ya can't lie ta me".

Rainbow looked away. "I'm a failure okay??".

She turned around so her back was to Applejack. Applejack raisedan eyebrow.

"What??".

She crawled over to her and sat beside her.

"I'm a failure at everything. I'm a failure at being evil, I can't use my magic right. I'm a complete failure at life. I'm a terrible daughter".

Rainbow sighed. Applejack but her lip. She fought the urge to reach out and touch the other girl.

"Ah don't think you're uh failure", she said.

Rainbow looked at her. "You don't??".

Applejack shook her head. "Ah think you're a great evil person. Ah mean you're mean an snarky an bitter. Though ah hate that about cha".

Rainbow let out a dark laugh. "Me too".

Applejack gave her a confused look.

Rainbow looked at her. "I don't want to be evil. I don't".

Rainbow held out her palm. A flame came out of her palm.

"Dark magic isn't my thing, though it's awesome and I can cause so much trouble with it".

The flame dissappeared. Rainbow loosened up a bit.

"I hate when people hate me. Being called trouble, mean, a lowlife. Evil, well that one makes me happy when I get called evil".

"Why??", Applejack asked.

"Because it makes me feel like I'm doing something right. It makes me feel like I'm doing a good job at what my mom wants to".

Applejack shrugged. "Why do ya want ta do what your mom wants ya to??".

Rainbow sighed. "I have to. As the daughter of an all powerful evil ruler, I have to carry on the legacy. I have to be the one that continues the dark and wicked life of our family. I don't really have a choice. Some mother. She always insulted me when I was growing up just so I learned to be cold hearted to insults and to insult people".

Suddenly Rainbow let out a cackle. It made goosebumps rise on Applejack's arms.

"She said that if didn't be who she wanted me to then she'd have no choice but to kill me and then have another kid".

Applejack was appalled. How could a mother say that to their only child??. Then again her mother was pure evil.

"Rainbow", she said. "Don't you wanna be happy??".

Rainbow smiled at her. An actual human smile.

"Of coarse I do. But I have to put my image before happiness. That's just how things are where I'm from. In Everfree, you're evil and bad to the bone and there's no place for feelings.
She laughed. "Listen Freckles", she said. But it wasn't insulting. She said more like a nickname.

"I may be evil. I may cause trouble and have mischief running through me at all times. I may have had an evil sorceress as a mom......".

Rainbow looked at her. "But I have a heart".

Rainbow looked away. "Not many people would know that, bit I do. Sometimes I wish I didn't".

"Why??"

"So then I won't have to feel hurt".

Applejack stopped for a moment.

"Hurt??".

Rainbow nodded. "It may not seem like it, but it actually hurts when people avoid me and think I'm evil and trying to kill everyone I lool at. I know it's my fault because I'm mean and rude and snarky and-".

"Rainbow Dash".

Rainbow stopped talking. She looked at the blonde.

"It ain't chur fault. People just judge what they don't understand".

Rainbow let out a dark laugh. "Or people just hate me. Do you??".

Applejack shook her head. "Ah don't".

Rainbow looked at her surprised.

"You don't??. Why??".

Applejack shrugged. "You're nice".

Rainbow suddenly felt like the air was caught in her throat and coughed. Applejack gave her a worried look. She looked like she was choking on air.

"You-".

Rainbow coughed out the air. She looked at the blonde.

"Nice??".

She got up and walked a feet away. She had a look of shock over her face.

"You think I'm nice??".

Applejack stood up. "Yeah".

Rainbow cackled. It was like something you'd see out of a movie. The famous evil laugh. Suddenly lightening boom across the sky when Rainbow looked at her.

"How on earth am I nice??", Rainbow asked.

Applejack crossed her arms. "Well you have a heart. You're not as bad as ya think. You can smile and take a joke. You saved mah life when ya didn't have to".

"I nearly killed you".

Applejack jumped at the loudness. She looked at the girl. Rainbow Dash wasn't angry. She was....... Applejack couldn't even find a word.

"I almost killed you Applejack".

Rainbow turned her back, head bowed. Applejack felt a drop the rain fall on her. She was soaked in minutes. But she didn't notice.

"How can you say I'm nice when I nearly killed you??. I'm not nice, I'm terrible, horrible, wicked, evil, a witch. A monster. I'm cold and black hearted".

Applejack shook her head. She slowly walked up to the girl. Standing behind her Applejack reached a hand out a touched her shoulder.

"You're not evil".

Rainbow turned around. Applejack was taken back when she saw a tear run down the winged teen's face.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry".

Applejack pulled her in for a hug..she felt Rainbow's body tense up.

"Have ya ever been hugged before??", she asked.

She felt Rainbow shake her head.

"My mom was Nightmare Moon and I come from Everfree. What do you think??".

Applejack smiled a little.

"Relax yourself. Uh hug ain't uh hug unless ya relax".

AJ felt her the other girl slowly relax. Rainbow slowly hugged back.

"Ah firgive ya fir tryna kill me", she said. "Ya didn't mean to".

Rainbow shook her head. "I didn't".

Applejack held her close. The sorceress was shorter than her now that they were close enough. Rainbow Dash was shorter by at least 5 inches.
She also smelled like........ salt water.

Applejack always liked the smell of the ocean. It was her favorite smell. So she was happy that Rainbow smelled like salt water.

They pulled away. Rainbow was trying to pretend that didn't happen.

"Thanks", she said.

Applejack frowned. "There's something else you're not tellin me. Why do ya do what your mom says even though you don't want ta??".

Rainbow Dash looked at her, her eyes once again hard.

"Because I'm loyal".

Applejack smirked. "You are??".

Rainbow nodded. "When I pledge my loyalty to someone I stay by their side no matter how much I don't want to or how much I hate them at the time. They screw me over, forgive and forget".

"Would you do that fir me??", Applejack asked.

Rainbow laughed. "No. Not yet at least".

Applejack rubbed her arm. "Do.yiu think......we could be.... Ah don't know..."

"Friends??", Rainbow finished.

Applejack nodded.

Rainbow's eyes widend. "You want to be friends with me??".

Applejack nodded.

"Why??".

"Ah think everyone deserves uh chance at happiness. Plus ah think you need me more than ya think".

Rainbow laughed. "Need you??. Yeah right".

Suddenly Applejack saw Rainbow a whole different way. Soaking wet in the rain, hair hair matted, she kinda looked........ cute.

Rainbow looked at the time on her phone.

"Well. I have to get going", she said.

Applejack was kinda sad that she had to leave. But she just nodded.

"See ya".

Rainbow took a few steps back then stopped.

"Applejack??".

"Yeah??".

Rainbow looked at her for a moment.

"Thanks and uh don't look behind you", she said with a smirk.

With that she was gone. Applejack stared at the now empty spot with a smile. She then realized the last past Rainbow had said. She took a peek behind herself. There was nothing there.

She laughed to herself shaking her head and walked down the street.

'That gal is somethin else. Told her she wasn't evil, just misunderstood'

This is officially the longest chapter I have ever done with my stories so I hope you enjoyed it :) and tell me waht you think. It's raining outside so I'm relaxed for the first time in a long time -sigh-
